My first bag I made was with this method but used a rivet instead of a stitch line on the handle to match the rivet in the... bag piece? Any way love the idea of hiding the second D ring for the cross body strap
I like this method, only tried it once, but I'm trying to figure out how to make the transition better from the end of the handle on the inside...thanks for the video!
I always learned something from you and it's very interesting, I'm really grateful to you about your videos and I hope learn more on each one :) Thank you and take care
I’m the last video it was said that it will be early next year once the Corter Pounder has been finalised. The idea being that the awl, knife and hammer are all released together.
@@kensmith9950 I think I may have found the producer (or A producer of similar material) called Articoli per Calzature. They call the material Startex, it's or the bag and shoe-making industry. I just emailed them for samples so I'll update when I get them!
Also looking for this reinforcement tape. Currently working on a bag, this would be nice to have? When I search almost everything that comes up has to do with Velcro strips. A link to the material you’re using would be nice
again another great video. thanks for sharing. am new beginner hobby leather worker. I do it just for fun and learn most of it from internet. I have two question: 1- may I aks the glue you use in the [07:27] is water based? 2- may I know know the exact name of this glue? I'll try to buy it. thanks in advance.
I was gonna say, I’ve always heard them called “(rectangle) loop sliders” or “loop rings” 🤗 but yeah, that’s how I search for them on hardware sites, as “loop”
When you bent the handle will the creases form on the inner side of the handle? I see some bags with creeses on inner side of the handles and some without. Are creases normal? But they don't always exist. what it depends on leather? or something else.
How do u handle with OCDs? as crafters often have OCDs of making every little things perfect. Cuts, edges, cures, skives. Small imperfections often kill me and stop me from finishing my projects.
Can you please tell me, what type of tape you actually use for the reinforcement? Thanks :)
"single loop slider baby" shows the love, makes it a 10/10 😘
thank you for the video, where can you find the adhesive backed nylon?
Love your videos. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. There are many who are too insecure to do that. But not you! You’re the best.
I just finished my first bag with these handles and they worked beautifully.
Beautifully done I love how clean it looks when folded down thank you I will be definitely doing all my future bags to this design
Natural thread tends to rot over time, so it is good advice to use synthetic thread. Great video!
Nice work. Love your videos. Where did you get the nylon
Great video! The nylon is a great idea that I never though to add to leather handles I made. Thanks!

You are really amazing 👏 when it comes to leather work. Always a fan😊👍
I love the look of that stitch detail! I'm going to add this to a couple of bags
Really enjoy the videos. Thanks , Where do you get your nylon adhesive backing?

Wow amazing... I like this job with leathers .... good job 👏 God bless.
Any idea on when you plan to release your brass craft knives?
I’m the last video it was said that it will be early next year once the Corter Pounder has been finalised. The idea being that the awl, knife and hammer are all released together.
I will also be on the look out 👀 Great question.
I'm also waiting to snatch one up as soon as possible
Thanks for taking the time to show your method, I’m about to make a few bags that will have these style of handle ☮️❤️
I have watched all of your videos. I have injoy every one
thanks for sharing such valuable info in such an accessible way
Love it , & enjoyed watching as I do always enjoy watching your videos. Good details & explanations. Thanks. Thumbs up 👍 and Hats of my friend. 🎩🆒
Love the handles and tutorial! I would love to you finish the purse you are working on…. Now that looks cute!😊
TRULY AMAZING WORK, THANKS FOR SHARING KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT JOB
Great video, and great work, as always. I don't understand the function of the hidden D ring. Would someone clue me in, please?
Thank you for posting! I learned something new today! 💖
Great video. I really like this style of attaching the handle. Where can I find the self adhesive nylon backer material? Thanks.
Let us all know
I tried Weaver, even asked their customer service team, and they don't carry it. A link to where we can get the nylon backing would be very helpful.
They never answer that question lol.
@@PickledAmericano I guess it must be sold by someone other than Weaver and therefore they can't say.

Beautiful work!
I glued a piece of leather on my 1 prong punch. To use a strop for 8mm French edger. Cause it’s like perfect fit.
Square ring sounds so much better than single loop slider.

Doing this. Thank you!
Love your work 👌. Another great lesson.
That looks really nice!
As a cobbler I can definitely say always double glue your leather, the first application normally gets drunk up by the leather.
Good day, I’ve always heard those rectangle hardware called “rigging dee’s” although generally rigging dees are complete squares. Hope that helps.
Squares are not Dees though. Dees have a rounded side in the shape of a "D".
If you use the flat knife with the bevel down, would you have more control over thickness?
Que prolijidad!!!! Hay moldes?? Y medidas??? Gracias!!!
Большое спасибо! Это как раз то, что я искал :)
again another great video. thanks for sharing.

I would be inclined to put four rectangular loops and four D rings. the D rings can be attach points for keys, pepper spray, decrotive fobs, etc..
Is there a resource for the nylon backing? I want to make a set of motorcycle saddle bags and need them to be rather rigid.
Do you have a source for the tape?
Is the nylon tape similar to bag stiffener with adhesive?
I call them square rings, too.
What is the name of the handle core you're using?
Eric where can I buy the Nylon reinforcement fabric with adhesive backing?
Enjoyed your video, thanks
cool design i love it
Some times I spray water on the area to slice. Just a little!
Favorite YT 🥇
Can you divulge where you’re finding the nylon tape??
Where do you get the cording from for the inside of the handle?
I was gonna say, I’ve always heard them called “(rectangle) loop sliders” or “loop rings” 🤗 but yeah, that’s how I search for them on hardware sites, as “loop”
Thanks for the great video as always! feel sad for the squared ring though 8:12 :(
* clicks like before the show even begins * 😉
Lol. Same here. It’s a given hey?
Thanks!
Thank you thank you thank you ❤️

Полезное видео, все понятно!👍👍👍👍👍
Serbian word for all rings is ALKA so for all rings you just say D ALKA or SQUARE ALKA. :D btw, you inspired me to start leatherworking!
anyone know where to find the nylon fabric with sticky back?
What kind of glue do you use?
Hi there what kind glue is that? thanks

Rectangular wire loop.
Nice
Outstanding video but I'll be honest, I call them rectangular rings or loops as well.

ok maybe it's my english, but what was the D ring for again?
Call that square ring a “Brasstangle”
Rectangular D
Anyone know what the liquid cement box is called?
It's called a glue pot :)
A rectangle is technically a square.
What's the best company to buy a woman's leather tote? Not a mainstream designer bag but a lifetime quality made one
when will Corter leather sell their brass xacto-knife handle and "corter pounder" hammer??? they are nowhere to be found online!
Maybe better terminology would be "square loop" lmao. Idk.
So who's going to give the 666th like? It's currently at 665
I will be calling this a square ring single loops slider is just way too much of a mouth full
Nice job! Thanks! By the way, voice behind the camera.... keep silence please 🥴
Kayleena's going to keep asking questions as she sees fit, but thanks :)
