Finally!! Someone showing us how to professionally produce rolled handles...I must say, your attention to the smallest details is very inspiring and make for a very beautiful looking handle. Just out of curiosity, where did you learn how to do this? Thank you!........Ah ok, just went through a few of your videos and saw the chat you had with Beatrice and now I know where you got your skill set from....I kept thinking to myself, the way this guy is doing this handle is perfect, where did he learn this, it's very similar to how handles are produced at Hermes Ateliers...and then boom! I couldn't afford her classes....way too expensive for me...maybe if I win the lottery.. Are you familiar with Peter Nitz American leather worker in Switzerland? I'll finish..I'm waffling sorry...
He quite literally copied the peter nitz tutorial lol
Absolutely terrific tutorial and I’ve seen many on this subject. I’m about to construct my second diy Birkin and plan on amending my procedure for the handle to this. Thanks so much for sharing your expertise. Video quality and camera angles were also excellent!
Please record this process!! It Would go viral in the younger community.
I'm a quilter who occasionally makes bags (I'll never work with leather, just cork and vegan leather). However, I found this video to be absolutely amazing!!! Thanks so much for sharing your artistry. ✌️❤️
“Vegan” leather is so bad for the environment though.
Thanks for letting us know about this stand you have taken. The last two sentences you wrote would have felt so inadequate without it.
Un bello trabajo!!! Que medidas tiene???
lol there’s no such thing as vegan leather, it’s plastic. They label it as vegan leather to convince people like you to buy it. I feel bad for your parents.
fantastici , e veramente molto professionali solo che mezza giornata per fare due manici?... e con tutta quella attrezzatura???...ora si capisce perché le belle borse costano cosi tanto ...COMPLIMENTI
I am from India and always watch your videos. Your work is greatly appreciated. Get to learn a lot.
Love your content. Im new and trying to learn from others. You work and instruction is perfect! Thanks
Thank you!
Thankyou for another great video. I've been attempting this on my bags (to much fustration). But here you are showing what I'm doing wrong... and no wonder mine look bad. Thanks for sharing your methods. (again really nice sound and really nice video work).
Hi Will, thank you very much for the tutorial! Do you provide this pattern for free though?
This is the type of handle I have been looking for. Where can I find the template for cutting?
good work man, not only beautiful work but also well explained, I'm beginning with leather I'll be around :D
Very, very nice!!! What is the reinforcement media called?? Where / how can I get it in the states??
Hello, I'm not seeing a link to the pattern is it still available?
Evidence of a deep understanding of technique and detail.. thank you 🙏
Beautifully done. Thank you for sharing this technique.
Amazing, may I ask where u got you tiny rotary cutter
Awesome job.. looks nice..
What leather is that? It’s stunning 😩 I need to make a whole bag out of it! Great work :)
Thanks, Clayton! This is Tiffany blue sully goat skin from Alran
Thank you
Exfoliate then once the skin is dry and you feel the skin start to pull, that’s when you put eczema lotion on and then again every few hours. Exfoliate every other day. That will help.
Without listing all the superlatives that entered my mind I find your videos truly amazing and as near perfect as I have ever seen. Also your leather working tools are obviously top of the line. Where would I find a source for them? I find myself inspired to get back into my shop.
Es una maravillaaa!!! Gracias x compartir!!! Desde Sgo del Estero.Argentina!!!
Please what is the name of the glue you are using ??
Intercom 1816b
Hi Will, Thankyou for the great video. Just wondered what tool you are using to burn the edges of your leather? Many thanks, Sophia
Hi Will. Likes the videos.
Have a question for you: where can I buy the edging tool you were using? Thank you.
Saludos
Your fine craftsmanship is a delight to watch. I will use this video to make my next handle.
When you bent the handle will some creases form on the innner side of the handle ? Is this normal? But they don't always exist. I see some bags with creeses on inner side of the handles and some without. What it depends on leather or something else?
How can I learn from you, Am in Nigeria

What is that rolling tool called
Not sure what you mean by rolling tool sorry
You learnt this from Peter Nitz tutorial video didn't you?
Parts of it yes. And now I’m passing on my knowledge. Everyone learns from somewhere else
@@WillHodges looks like pretty much the whole process... I guess parts of it will have to do. also crediting him would have been a nice touch but that doesn't serve the purpose right?
What type of glue do you use
I use intercom 1826B
what is that tool at 7:02?
Electric creaser made by the French company Regad. I got mind from Pro Atelier Plus in the UK and that’s the F3M tip designed to go round corners
You're perfect!!!
You’re too kind
This is amazing
Thank you!
Good job !
Thank you!
