I read that because the sampler they used was pretty basic with limited memory, it accidentally warped the first part of the sample when it was sped up. So that "WooOOOaaaah" bit of the Cloudbusting sample was a complete accident that ended working in their favour, it was just reversed for the last bit to make it fit the rhythm.
We were in Ibiza with them in May. Slipmatt had them to play in Eden. We’re in our 50’s now…you younger ones missed out, but the techno, oh my god, the new techno is like 1988 again “on steroids”
Kate's 'Cloudbusting' sample was very special, as she generally didn't allow other artists to sample her work. This sounds so much better than I remember it back in the day, with my mate speeding through the forest at night, with too many of us squashed in to in the back seat, drunk on 2 pints of cider and black!🎵🚕🔥
an absolutely bitchin' tune, this severely depressed empath is kited, can feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins and is moved to tears literally every time i hear this classic; be well!
Yeah this song made it to Texas and people were already partying on the fun things coming across the Rio Grande and this new weird music from across the pond really helped out.
Oh god this brings back so many memories, well some . I'm just trying to explain to my 14 year old that yes mum probaly did dance like that and no there is no photographic evidence .😂👍 . Great how most comments refer to how great Kate Bush and Utah Saints. Yes, I totally agree. But can we just say well done, to all the lookilikies and extras to put together such a great video. It must have been a fantastic day filming it.
I remember this song, got my hands on it 3 moths before it was to be out( thanks to my brothers who were DJs ) i used it on a dance it was Cali saints when we performed it , I love Kate B n her lending a sample of her voice on this track is wicked !!!
I just played this in the car the other day when my 9 year old daughter (I'm a Gen X'er who had her later then normal) and her friend were in the backseat. I heard them ask each other, "What is this???!" I'm just planting some seeds, kids.
Damn - I remember hearing this one when it first came out while browsing the racks at Zia Records in Tempe AZ (right next door to the Gin Blossom's Mrs. Rita's place). Hunted down the album and bought it on the spot. It's been in rotation ever since.
You guys and this song came to mind as I DM'd my cousin's eldest son, who has since moved to Utah, and Saints came to mind. Happened over to the Tube here, looking specifically for this song. I listened and enjoyed it twice and shared it with him. I stated it was a big club song back in the late nineties. I proceeded to ask how old he was. Did I see it's about 31 years old? Bingo, he's 31! If you happened over here to do as I just did. May I say it we old! Did something good happen? ;)
