    I really felt for Jack. After the station fire I believed he lived with a heavy heart over something that was not his fault. I seen them a couple of times in the early days and they rocked. What a set of pipes he had . RIP my friend. I’ve got your music to remember you by . ✌🏻

    I too went in '99' to see the hair band tour with Poison and their reunion with C.C.
    I also had the change to see Jack Russell after the Station fire. Loved both shows.
    Thank you for having a great history lesson for some.

    Discovered Great White by accident in '87. I had just seen "Jaws" on TV and here in a record club catalog was a band I'd never heard called "Great White" with an album titled "Once Bitten". Sold :) From the opening riff of "Lady Red Light" that whole album put my jaw on the floor. Have all of GW's albums from '84-'99. RIP Jack and thanks for being a voice in my head all these years.

    Sad news, but a nice tribute video, Brendon. Back in the day, I was a big fan of Great White's debut album and their cover of "Face The Day". But it wasn't until years later, after I started watching your videos, that I went back and collected Once Bitten, Twice Shy, and Hooked. I'm happy to have them in my collection. I'll give Great White a spin this weekend in memory of Jack. By the mercy of God, may his soul rest in peace. ✌️

I had been a fan since Shot in the Dark, I used to have the original uncensored Recovery Live album (that cover ruled) - I had everything on cassette in the 80s. During the 90s I went CD on their catalog. I actually love SAIL AWAY - one of my favorite late period songs is Wooden Jesus.

    63 is too young. The fire likely messed with his mind, and years of deterioration and self-destruction brought on the dementia. Saw them a ton in the 90s, and great shows. Saw them once with Terry circa 2012. My favorite overall is Hooked, although Sail Away had " livin in the USA" and " all right", 2 of my favorites. Totally agree Let It Rock was solid. Saw them twice on that tour. My friend was a journalist at the time, and got to interview Michael Lardie, and we met the band behind the venue, near their bus. I remember Jack saying Capitol sent him the Beatles 17 cd box, cause he was a huge Beatles fan. RIP Jack, you gave us good memories

    Very sad it was Lewy body Syndrome which we may have heard of because of Robin Williams originally he was misdiagnosed for Parkinson's but Lewy body is very serious and can have multiple effects on a person, including hallucinations and even violent behavior to themselves or others this was how at times Robin was acting, its very sad regardless of how it effects the person and is a very quick moving thing.

    Sorry to hear about the passing of Jack Russell but I really never forgave this band for the fire that they started at that small nightclub several decades ago. That was the worst tragedy that should have never happened.

    • @BrendonSnyder
      @BrendonSnyder  2 месяца назад +15

      Know the facts first. The band was not found liable in the suit. The management and club owners were the ones who didn’t use the right sound proofing insulation. They used flammable product which is illegal….and they went to jail because of it. The band were told the pyrotechnics were ok. All the band did was show up and perform. In the end of the day due to the accident their insurance paid out to the families. But not because they cause the fire. Again that was the club owners and management. There is film of the discussion beforehand where the band is inquiring and being confirmed that the use of pyro is ok. Not their fault. Now you can go back to enjoying Great White. 👍

    • @BrianBurger-rk6sj
      @BrianBurger-rk6sj 2 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for clarifying for those who don't know the facts. The other original members Audie and Michael still get shit to this day about the fire and they were nowhere near that place on that day. The band was actually Jacks solo band but they billed the show as Great White featuring Jack Russell to sell more tickets and invited Mark Kendall to sit in a few songs.

    • @trv411

      @@BrendonSnyderthanks for the info and clarification. Always wished the two separate entities would eventually mend their differences and combine, but unfortunately that never happened. Had the pleasure of seeing Great White on the Twice Shy tour, and as recently as last year saw Jack Russell's Great White. IMO, one of the best blues rock bands of the 80s. As I've seen and heard, the only thing that made Great White a hair metal band was their hair. They will always hold a special place in my heart. Very nice tribute, Brendon. Thank you for all you do.
