When 2 or more are gathered to bring to life the power of this earth was just amazing. To do so with the blessings of the Elders of the earth, just blessed each of you beyond measure. Thank you so much for sharing a small portion of the light that was shared and shined during this event! Agape'
Really enjoyed the video. It's heartwarming to see a group of people enjoying themselves while being kind, respectful, inspirational and uplifting toward each other. I am happy to hear that this event is world wide.... great stuff!!
That song the gentlemen sang at dinner was beautiful. I get very sad I can't eat food anymore because it is such an ancient and pure form of sharing and bonding with other people. But music is another way and that makes me happy. Thanks for the video, Brian!
That was the most touching video you have ever made.❤ Every aspect of it was totally beautiful. Personally my 2 favorite parts were when I saw the old dodge tradesman ~ I always dreamed and wanted one of those when I was in my twenties, I would think man I would love to travel everywhere and I would fix it up and take care of it like my baby. but i was to caught up in the rat race and it just never happened. So when I saw the van in the video I stoped and totally had a ehpifany. I paused the video, stared at it and said " I have done it, I have finely done it." So now I sit in my van and I'm typing on my so called" mobile device "some 25 years later. Just in awe... it took just that one image to remind me of what I've wanted for so long and now I have. 2nd the interview at the end of the video was so moving I got goose bumps and emotions flushed through my soul. Words can not express how much this means me. Thank you Brian, you just helped me see something i guess i needed to be reminded of by another human and made me realise something buried in my heart that has now come alive. you just made my life alot better. Peace to you and everyone reading.
That salmon looks awesome and huge! What a wonderful opportunity to learn about the native culture and be the recipient of the kind, generous and accepting Makah tribe who gifted you all with the food and land to host your event on. Giving and sharing results in blessings coming back to them. Something they know, but so many of us have lost or never known. Wishing many blessings to the Makah tribe for their hospitality.
What a blessing to partake in.Im actually RECHARGED in watching & listening to this well-depicted view of Beautiful nomadic peoples fellowship with our American natives. Thank you, Brian! 🌊🌲🌴❤️🚙👍👥
Really Awesome! I loved hearing the Native speak his words about their traditions. Would like to know how and why such a long period of mourning. What a blessing their sharing in this event! Food looked amazing and people seemed great! Love what this is about!
Its so nice to see you connecting with a variety of nomads and experiencing so many different personalities. Thanks for bringing these videos to us on a consistent basis.
+CoolCat Carolena Thank you. This has been an experience beyond any expectations. It has been challenging to be consistent in documenting all of this but I feel it is worth it. Not only for the purposes of sharing with and inspiring others but also for having my own personal timeline of memories. I have been looking back at a few of my older videos and it reminds me of how much I really have experienced in such a short time. Thank you for being a positive part of this community! 😊👍✌
I hope all the nomads and wannabe nomads watch this, Brian. This is how it's done !! We could all learn something from mixing cultures ,to organizing an event and cleanup at the end. Looked like a great event and I loved the video. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, what a beautiful and peaceful spot. Reminds me of here in Hawaii with the native land here , as so the native pacific northerners with their form of Aloha , the Breath of Life.
Enjoyed it again Brian,..another one that I have to watch a few more times to get the feel of being there. :-) I've talked a few times on Instagram to the couple that's from New Orleans, the pretty black girl and her husband,..she was telling me, that at first she was having a lot of problems living in a van, but encouraged me to go for it, that I would love it like she did after the 1st month. She said that meeting fellow van dwellers all across the country was the best part of it, I remember. I love the voice of the Indian elder that sang. His voice has a very nice mellow, resonant sound to it , that would be great added to recordings of other songs. Was hoping to hear you play flute Brian. :-) I'm definitely going to try one day to cook some fish like the Indians do, like they did there with the cedar strips,.very cool idea. Thanks again for sharing this event Brian,..I was hoping for much more views with the drone though, like out to the beach and back to the camp, but still very nice to see everything you did show. I bet that cornbread had a great smell and taste to it. :-) ☮ ☕ 📷 ☺ ✌ .
Sweet summary of the event. I was the drummer on the track in the middle of the video and I was super grateful for this event and it's people. Though I'm a Syncro owner, one of the most important parts of this event was the diversity of people and their rigs that attended. We really needed that. I'm still living out of the van in the PNW and I hope we can get this together again this year!
Wow what a great event filled with young like minded people it had awsome food. Loved seeing the old ford & dodge vans. Definitely the type of vlog that sets you apart from the rest. Thanks for sharing 👍🚐✌️
THANK you Brian sharing van gathering. So cool and peacefull community KNOW Many appreciated learning native American culture. Didn't know of song for eating. I'm starved for this knowledge of culture that runs through many Americans blood. Safe journeys
I wish I could have been there! Speaking for myself, I feel a real kinship with the native people of this country. I think those of us who are drawn to living a more back to nature and nomadic lifestyle are connecting with something deep in our human DNA. Who better to be examples of this and to help teach the rest of us than the direct descendants of the earliest know peoples in the land? Thanks for the great video, ric
These meet ups are becoming like a micro burning man type event only without the nudity and costumes. People coming together with a common interest. Thanks for the video Brian.
Again... Brian thank you for your videos... I'm WAY east... in new jersey and so wish I could have participated... soon... when the time is right I'll be there to renew my vision and energy... Thank you for the wonderful video.
What a wonderful experience Brian! I love learning about the Natives, their culture, history and way of life. Thanks for sharing with us that can't be nomadic.
A great update Brian. Love The music. The demo on how to cook the fish was a real treat. I closed my eyes listening to the music. Thank you for sharing
+West Coast Roller It was pretty cool! I really enjoyed getting to know the Australian crew. I think I see a trip to Australia in my future! Hope things are good with you l. 😊👍✌
Over the basket!! I tried it years ago and would love to try it again! I love the music with the drumbeat that they played!! It was so awesome they made dinner for all of you guys!! Love the fireworks!!
The missing piece to what can sometimes be a crushingly solitary lifestyle. the most basic of human needs is the need for connection and belonging to a group of other human beings. Initially, folks go on the road to escape the rat race and meanness of corporate life which is exploitative and competitive and soul crushing. Events like this give van life true meaning - finding other van dwellers and finding cooperation amongst like minded people. The best way to live in my opinion. It is a kind of intentional community. There are many similar communities out there only they are not Nomadic. I don't think anything can take the place of some of what these intentional communities do together such as grow food, make their own cheese, honey, maple syrup, and share life's moments, share solutions and philosophy. Such a contrast to the isolation between humanity brought on by the lifestyle of modern day U.S.
The definition of wealth....that was a good reminder. It's been easy for me to get older and bitter. The van life everything has been important for my own personal sort of recharge.
Thanks for sharing this special event. Hopefully this is able to continue for a couple more years when I'm expecting to get out there. So good to see Bex attended; she has had a rough year.
OMG! The Salmon looks so good! Such an interesting way to cook it. The Van Life meet up looks so fun. All the wonderful people, activities & of course all the great food. YUM! 😋 I like that they even have Vegan/Vegetarian options. Did you have a favorite dish? Probably hard to just pick one. Thanks for sharing! You have an amazing life. 👍✌️ Peace! 🌈🌈
Brian, thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing this event. I am a gypsy at heart an original hippie chick. While preparing for my journey to van life "THIS" is the community I have been looking for. I've been disappointed with most of the vloggers because they haven't been speaking to my soul.....what exploring life without the constraints that have tied me to a stationary place. Going on the road I wanted to find a safe passionate community to be a part of. I was honestly brought to tears and the hair on my body stood on ends. I did my part in society by working my entire life and raising my children. Thanks to you I now have faith that it is out there waiting for me drama free.
WOW! Great video! Love it! I hope that I get to go to a Van Life gathering some day. I've been to Rainbow gatherings and stuff. They are a lot of fun but there are way way way more people. This looks like more my style. More laid back. And it was so nice of the natives to let you all stay there and feed you and share their traditions. What a great time! Thanks for letting all of us who couldn't be there in on it too.
well, i might be 2 years late but i'm glad i made it because this was one of the most inspirational videos i've seen. what a nice gathering and message, something i'd like to be a part of one of these days(i should have known in 65 when i was in a band called "the vagabonds" :) thanks brian
Wow. This looked like a very civilized and organized event. I've seen other gatherings that were mostly people sitting around getting drunk and trashing nature. What wonder hosts AND guests.
Thank you Brian for sharing this,I shared it on my Facebook. I would love to attend some of these events but I don't know how you find them. I am however independently wealthy by her definition hahaha.
Nice coverage! Hope to find out about more events like this in the future. Since you're already in the area are you going to Camper-Con in Vancouver next month?
Gumbo! Now you are living. Rob/New Orleans. South Louisiana in the Fall and Winter would be a good time to visit and do some cajun dancing and good food eating! Let the good times roll!
Wow, what a great time! That's so cool that the tribe not only shared the land, but also their culture, cooking, and themselves. What did Johnny say...need an interpreter ))
Great video Brian! Sadly, I missed you by a day or so. I was camping at Hobuck when the Vanlife Gathering first showed up. Hope to meet you on the road. 😄

Thank you. This was great. Life is congested on the east coast living in my van. Heading west soon.
Really Awesome! I loved hearing the Native speak his words about their traditions. Would like to know how and why such a long period of mourning. What a blessing their sharing in this event! Food looked amazing and people seemed great! Love what this is about!
Wish I could have been there! How awesome the Makah people are to have been so welcoming! So envious of all the folks who were blessed to be there.

That was really nice Brian...I hope you spend one of your Sat. vids going back over the experience in more detail :)
This gathering seemed very positive. I loved the comments from the tribe. Refreshing to see people helping each other and not judging.
