- Hi all!
This time I've tried to be a little more original than in my first time and decided to make the neck and the body joined naturally without any screws.
The wood I used is:
Mahagony for the body/neck.
Maple for the fretboard.
Zaricote for the top.
I've used pickups from:
www.priborapickups.com/
I think the pickups are special, and decided to try them.
I've used Grover lock tuners and bigsby bridge (will not use this ever again).
The music in the background is my own.

Now that is a beautiful guitar. Bravo, well done.
I like the way the wood looks. Excellent work.
Thanks :)
Very impressive man, great works. I have a question how did you put on the bridge pickup without pickguard? I'm going to build a telecaster starting from a kit but I don't want to put the pickguard. Thanks
Great job. I like the way the neck repair turned out. Very talented.
This was really good, the camera work made it real enjoyable to watch
Excellent work! Beautiful!👍😎🎸🎶
Outstanding! I espsecially
love the roundover (almost Mosrite round) and the choice of a Bigsby. Beautiful video, it looks and sounds unique. Subscribed!
Thanks!!
Nice job man that top is fantastic, pretty unique piece of zaricote. Nice save on that neck too.
It looks great! And I love the music!
Bro thats a great job and a beautiful creation.
It looks beautiful!👍😎🎸🎶
That thing is beautiful and I can tell that your cat's help was indispensable.
Nice work, inspiring to watch, thanks!
I love your guitars, you do not know how many are my wishes to have a😍😍😍
Now that's beautiful !
Solid build. Psyched for a sound test!
will post soon :)
I can't believe that people would actually dislike this. Keep up the amazing guitar building !
Thanks !!
Nice work hombre. maybe someday i gonna will do my own guitar.
Excellent video and work! You just motivated me to try and do one myself
Thanks :) I'm glad to hear that! It's really satisfying to build a guitar.
Id love to hear that gorgeous guitar.
what a great job!... wanna see a onepiece soloist next time in same woods and colors!
you are an artist
Awesome job and guitar!,, Thank you very much
That's incredible.
amazing work!
Wow! No router! No fancy tools! Incredible! Extremely nice!!!
Dunno why but watching the Kneck get shaped in fast forward is the coolst thing
Very cool Guitar!!
thanks :)
I like how the wood wasn't expensive. I wish you'd showed how it sounded.I'm not sure your nut material was the best choice since its so soft.Good job
Hey, Thanks! look at my channel, there is a video of me playing on this guitar. The sound is very ringy , trebly, or at least this is what came out in the video. And there is some buzz noise, which I solved later. Just saying :)
Admirable
WOW! way to go!
Exelent job with little tool
Bravo
Wow. Solid build man. Subscribed because of meow meow :)
Cool electric guitar and aw cute cat
Awesome job. Binding on the body next time.
Wonder! Here in Brazil we steel love the good music. Only somebody of us.
Bela chuva amo demais...
Beautiful video, kudos.
great design!
Might be your second electric guitar build, but your quality of work suggests that you're an experienced luthier at least.
Thanks for posting.
It was fun to watch, and the result impressive.
Hey, Thanks. I wish I was an experienced luthier, I like the idea of building guitars for now. But it's actually not the case, there are a lot of precise stuff that should be done and considered, and this precision is very hard to achieve only with hand tools without even knowing what to consider. wood is my hobby for 2-3 last years. Currently building an acoustic guitar, and it's not easy at all :)
I enjoyed watching your great work. There's more than one way to skin a cat. I learned a few new techniques watching your build. Thank you.
супер, цельный кусок красного дерева!!!!
Is there a specific name for the tool you used to carve out a channel for the truss rod? I didn't know anything but a powered router like bit could chip that out, other than drill bits and a chisel. I wanted to make my bass guitar with only hand tools to really feel the differences between hand tools to power tools for my second build. But I bought a neck instead, I might have to make my own and have the bought one as backup for possible mistakes. LOOKS AWESOME btw
I think it's a small router plane
very cool i wish i could do all that!
Amazing!!
dude .. that's dope
Beautiful perfect love the color of the wood and the round shape I must say I am very surprised but I admit that I dont like that whammy bar always hated how they look
wah dude thiss an awesome guitar..when u make it u play it good
Very nice
Dude let me tell you awesome work you do can built electric acoustic guitar
How much did this Beauty cost? I will build one Tele too and this inspired me hard
Beautiful looking guitar. Great choice of contrasting woods (maybe a little heavy, but who cares!) it's a real shame that you decided not to use a router for the truss rod pocket. And, if it was me, I'd of done that before gluing. The joint in the neck looks cool, and honestly the heel at the headstock will be a lot stronger now. Fixed a few Les Paul's with snapped necks in a similar way..... Good job!
thanks bro! thanks for the comment, I appreciate that. Regarding the truss rod pocket, with a router it comes out cleaner, but I'm trying to increase my skills with hand tools, and in a way, it's feels more, I don't know, more authentic? :) anyways...next time I'll use a router :)
Eh, yes and no. Traditionally, stringed instruments never employed truss rods (well, not pocketed ones) laminated necks were the norm in lutes and court guitars. It's not untill mass production kicks in, and a metal truss rod is employed as a way to cut down production time and costs. So, really it's new tech being done in an old way.
Yes, you're right! I've meant the approach itself. I tried to avoid power tools as much as possible without making my life too complicated :)
it's a really good idea for the truss rod pocket... my neighbors don't like to listen to my long router sessions :)
very nice!!bomb!💣🎸🎸🎸
i'm thinking about doing my own too , but what did u use after the drill to make the truss rod "hole" ?
If you're using a mustang style rocking bridge, I can see that being a problem with keeping the guitar in tune. I think the tremolo bar mounted so close to the bridge compounds the problem.
A fixed roller bridge and a compact tremolo would have been the ticket IMO.
You may be right, even though I didn't notice a tuning problem, I don't like the bridge. I don't know why I chose this bridge back then from the first place :) I think I'll change it when the time is right.
Belo trabalho!!!
Maybe it's sick ( pretty sure it is! ) but I like to watch the way your hands are working...creating...
And I love your work. Great skills. Keep going with your ideas because you're an inspiration to many people now :)
Don't think it's sick :) People say one can forever watch fire, flowing water, and someone work! This works for me anyway.... Thank you for your comment, it made me smile :)
You're welcome :)
Ohh ! And if you&your guitar will ever come to visit Holland I'll get you unlimited beers :D promise! haha
It's very possible :) Last time I've visited Holland was 2 years ago I think, I attended Marks Knopfler concert in Amsterdam. I'll let you know to prepare the beers next time I'll be in your area :)
look really nice
I Like
Amazing guitar
It's really entertaining and interesting, RUclips should've more content like that !
Thanks :) those kind of comments keep me motivated to make more videos.
Glad to read :)
Man how fast do your hands move
where did you buy telle saddle for bigsby?
Where did you find a piece of wood big enough to make a 1 piece guitar??
Whats that tool you used that looked like a spoke shave is it hand made? Cool tool!
Awesome work, very good.
What is the name of the tool you used to make the soul hole? (1:12)
don't lie
good job
Hi there ,what oil did you use for the last coated
What oil do you apply on the body to finish the wood?
The secret sauce is the cat helping during the string-threading stage:) (13:30).
Beautiful guitar!
the front looks a little like a russian bear. You gotta demo this with DDT song:)
Why are the machine head tunners on upside down?
Hey man!!! Great video, you're amazing!!! Could you make one explaining how to do it?? I mean, step by step. I'd really like to make one myself. I will be so grateful and happy if you do it!! Thanks and hope you read me!!! 😋👍
Beautiful cat. 😁
u can use a small router and rout out the truss rod channel.
can you make synyster gates custom guitar?
much prettier than the first one but both are beautiful guitar!
ooh i think i like this one better gosh this is so cool
OMG, Lucifer leaves comments on my videos :)
What was the neck bridge made of
i see both of them second guitar is almost perfect. when you start another guitar ?( les paule sg flying v )
please test these guitars
thanks.
Sure! thanks! currently working on an acoustic guitar and some experimental electric, will post here the results!
Great vid, but what about a strat/flying V next time? It'd be cool
And another question: what is the solding wire made of? Thanks, you're great
I thought about flying V for next time, but I think I have a better idea, will try to do something not so common, a bizarre instrument, many strings and other weird stuff :) . Also started to do an acoustic guitar.
I think it's Lead-based. Thanks for the comment and taking the time to watch the vids!!!
yoj ik You're welcome, I thank you for keeping me entertained :)
I enjoyed how you didn't use a router for your 2nd build.
Wow!!!
What did you use for the frets?
What oil did you spend?
Hi. I live in Russia . I really liked how you make tools. Can I order you a guitar?
how long you take to built this guitar
What tool are you you using at 1:30 in the video the planer gauger thing.
Small Router Plane. Veritas make one, comes with a 1/4" blade, the right size for a standard dual action truss rod. At least that's what I've found, as it's on my list of tools needed for this exact job.
So much better than ur last one tbh
I watched this video twice and I never once saw him radius of fretboard. But I saw him put the Fret wires through a bender. So maybe he did radius of breadboard but never showed it. Anyone that looks great!
Subscribed!
Thanks :)
Cool, very nice, just a small detail, the tuners are placed upside down.
you're right :) It's cool you noticed that. the reason for this, is that the other way they didn't fit on the headstock. I didn't plan the whole thing right.
Please show us in your channel how to make casle
And I thought me using an angle grinder to carve the body and neck and a router to cut out the pick ups and electronics cavity was considered hand carved.
:))
Only oil finish?
Very nice man, I know how much effort you put in. What's your finish?
Tung oil.
What kind of bridge is that? I can't figure it out.
bigsby bridge
Did you really free-hand the placement of the frets?! I thought they had to be precisely measured
No, the placement of the frets should be precisely cut, maybe it's hard to see in the video but the fretboard is attached to a scale (25.5" in my case), and there is a small pin in the jig that aligns with every placement of a fret.
My question is maybe idiot, but how do know where the frets should be placed ? Otherwise, really good job !
FonZich31 i think he used online Tools 🙂
That’s what I always wonder too! Like if they are too close together/far apart does the guitar sound out of tune?
FonZich31 it’s according to scale length
I used Alexander Pribora pickups, they are great.
a question how many dollars to make me an acoustic with pine wood
why do you want me to make it? there are so many luthiers out there, and I'm not even a luthier :)
Woah!
i need that guitar and that cat! XD
question: what did you use for the finish? oil? wax? any hint will be appreciated
Hi, I used Tru-Oil and Danish oil
yoj ik thank you so much!
