- This is how I did my process on this different way of making the incision. I am still 50/50 on it but it’s just another way of doing it. Honestly I may just stick with the breast incision and then cutting the legs off and painting that way. Hopefully this clears up some questions you all have! See ya on the next one!
Love from the 931!! Salute to our soldiers and veterans!!
🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼 hope all is well!
@DuckalopeOutdoors vice versa my brother gonna give you a shout here in a few
Also u should make a video/ or short of the mounts u have
I run a business so they are constantly coming in and going out or I would! I have quite a few posted up on IG. I’ve been working on a lot of pheasants the past week so they will be posted up soon
@@DuckalopeOutdoors pheasants seem to be decently easier for me compared to a duck or goose, there hardly any fat and the feathers dry nice
@@MichaelTwedt I love doin them!
@@DuckalopeOutdoors when do we get a pheasant video
I will whip one up and get it posted since you asked!
What I do on my birds is mount them on wet then dry after being sewed up, it makes sewing a lot easier and the skin stays moist so it can stretch around the form and bones
I know a few who do this method as well!
if u see the incision line most likely due to not drying the bird 100% before sewing it up.
Dry it 100% even all the down before u move to the next step and should take away that line 😃
That’s a very good point many don’t do I’ve seen. My first 5 birds were like that until I learned to get them all nice and puffy. I’m up around my 200 bird mark now this leg to leg I feel could help with the preening on something like a chest out cupped up speck but other than that it may not be worth the extra time it takes to do it
@@DuckalopeOutdoors Forsure u are good! Nice work man keep the vids coming
@@ryanlaporte8224 thanks man!
