Thankyou for nice comment...yep it is a great guitar...I did this a year ago.🙂..This recording seems to have done well.So perhaps back to guitars for me soon...on the Big tone.I am a Saxophone player really and more Recently Synthesizers..but This guitar is always out at home..I have a Gretsch in Green..similar and others.. but the Big tone has it all.. definitely Eddie Coogan and more..cheers.😉👍
That was Amazing. I ordered my BIGTONE today. Mine however is White! Will take about 10 to 15 Days to get here but that's ok, Still in time for the Christmas Celebrations playing all the Christmas music.
Playing is good. The issue with these guitars seem to haunt all lower end archtops, that is the treble strings sound thin and plinky. I have use Thomastic flatwounds and increased my treble E and B to a .014 and .017 to help thicken the tone. Dialing back the amp or guitar tone controls only kills the whole tone. I own several Gretsch, Epiphone and Samick models and they all suffer the same fate. I refuse to string them all that heavy. Best wishes.
Fantasticplaying and tone! . I have a bunch of HBs. Gibsons/Fenders/PRS also. I love guitars. Next guitar I buy will be a white Big Tone. I do have a Gretsch Steamliner. No trem tho. Do you think the Big Tone would line up with a Streamliner? Great playing man!!
Hi Dean....Thanks...am a sax player really...The Bigtone...is magnificent for the price and style....I have other guitars as well..including a Gretsch electromatic in Aspen Green..with Bigby.. .should of gone for orange though...hence the HB..Bigtone...it is great ..the tone...?.well...I recorded it just using a Roland Microcube..but can't fault the guitar..Thanks for kind words...I might play it again soon....A synth phase at the moment...Regards..J..I suppose any gretsch would line up...but the bigtone could be the guitar you use more..
Get both..😁..I have a 335 also..(2 infact..not HB though.) And gretsch full bodied electromatic in aspen green...I would say get the Bigtone...though...while its around..in a synth mode at the moment...maybe I will record a track again on the guitar soon...cheers 👋 .
Get an HB-35, I have 2 and they are amazing. I got the metallic plum and blue one. They feel incredible, better than a Firefly at the same price. I originally was going to change out the pickups, but haven't found a need to. Take the plunge, you won't regret it! Good luck!
Hi..Thankyou...would you believe..the guitar is just coming through a Roland Microcube on clean..with some reverb..to a mackie mixing desk..with audio then sent to what if remember was my camera which has audio input..lumix fz150 ..transferred the sd card to Pc from camera..and that was it really..it worked out well on this track..I really should play it more..still have the Bigtone..Thankyou..
Finally a review without all that gain. You can actually hear what this guitar can do. Ty.
Came for the guitar stayed for the musicianship.
FINALLY a test video where we can actually hear what this guitar is able in good hands. Bored of crappy blues-rock guitar test T . T
This guitar sounds so sweet , played clean . Don't care about the distortion tones . Just lovely
I agree! I'm not a hard Rocker. I love those clean soft tones.
Beautiful clean tones ... LOVE it ...
Beautiful
@@aaronpeterson3862 too kind..thankyou 🙂
Nice playing, I have had a similar bigtone for 2 tears now, and I use it for jazz, rockabilly and even some shadows tunes, it sounds and plays great

Extremely kind of you..appreciated comment..still got mine..🙂
Just ordered, wooo hooo. Cant wait. Was going to get a Gretsch streamliner, but ordered this and an amp, for nearly half the price.
Are you happy with your decision or do you wish you picked up the Gretsch?
I got my HB Big Tone 3 days ago and have barely put it down, Fantastic guitar for the money.
A great guitar..still have mine..Thanks for comment..👋
@@synthloopmusic I hope one day I'll be able to play it as well as you. I really enjoyed your musicianship
Lovely tone playing… what make and size strings are on the guitar please?

Nice
Thank you..it's a nice guitar
.and I supprised myself with my rusty playing..:-)
Sounds GREAT! \m/
Thanks.
I wish I was that rusty at my best. Harley Bentons are as good as the hands that play them.
Thanyou very much..for your comment....sadly..😆? Am in a synth phase...but might revisit the guitar..thankyou for the nice comment..

Had no idea Spotify did backing/karaoke tracks either. Cheers 👍
great if you don't need dots 😁
Can’t decide between this one and the HB-35 (which is a 335 design).
Love the tone
