My stay home reading rush tug is actually my first video ever and it was so much fun! thank you for all of this, it's giving me life during quarantine :)
This was such a fun little reading rush! It was the first one I’ve ever done and almost all of it is documented on my channel atm and I’m super happy with how it went! So, thank you! 🧡🧡
This is coming at the perfect time.. I was just furloughed from work so this is the perfect way to give me something to occupy my time, actually be able to participate fully, and keep mind off the situation!! Can't wait to see and hear what everyone is reading!
I will definitely be joining in next week! I'm reading so much over the weekend and I've been loving all the reading prompts like 24in48, the Magical Readathon and Dewey's 24-hour Readathon!
The real question is, do I read a book set in Paris since I’m supposed to be going on holiday there this month OR is that just torturing myself? Whyyyy is this happening before payday though, I want the book marks 😆 excellent cause you’re donating to though! So excited to take part in this again!!!
Okay so I have 1 book that fits all of them... A darker shade of magic. Technically it has a book on the cover it's like maps of cities so houses indeed. I loved the series I couldn't stop smiling reading it and there's no place I would rather be anytime not just nowadays than Arnes. And i always read it my room. Hmmm...
All I've been doing since starting this quarantine is reading. I've been staying home since about March 16th and have easily finished a dozen books. I've been living by library ebooks. The local system here is still running smoothly. A reading rush is just what I need right now. It'll make it a bit easier to choose what to read next.
SO EXCITED! I literally just got laid off, starting April 16 so this is absolutely perfect. I cannot think of a more perfect way to keep busy & involved. Thank you for this, Ariel and Raeleen!! ❤️❤️
I think it’s so lovely that a few days ago Ariel put out a video discussing ways we could support the book industry and then decides to do an impromptu reading rush. This will be such a great way to support the industry, even if it’s not monetary. I hope to read as much as possible. My picks: Crescent City (House of Earth and blood) (it has the word house in it so I think it counts?) Daughter of smoke and bone (I definitely would like to visit Prague eventually), days of blood and starlight (book I’ll be reading in the same room) and finally the perks of being a wallflower will be the book I read that makes me smile :)
I can only speak for my part of the world (New England, USA) but almost ALL independent bookstores here are taking online or over the phone orders and mailing books to your house. If want a new title and can swing it financially PLEASE check if your local bookstore is still virtually open and taking orders.
My reading is going great at home. I mostly read on my bed because it's quieter and comfier. The best book I've read is crescent city. Comfort read... Not sure. I wish I could buy the rest of the shadowhunter books, I have TMI at the moment. I really want to shout out Sarah J Maas and Cassandra Clare.
I am so excited for this readation!!!! This is the first time I will be participating, and I have been reading SO MUCH since I've been staying at home :)
Bit late but if I participated in this one, I would probably choose The Little Prince... The last three prompts fit really well with it (I would read it in a room, it would make me smile and I wanna go to wherever the Prince was - the small planet) and the first one...well...the Prince's home is on the cover, right? The asteroid planet? Yeah. That's a house - for the Prince, so I think it would count...and also I would've finished the Reading Rush is an hour lol. Tbh, I've already read the book so I think I technically participated...a month late I still don't know if my twisted version of the house promo counts
Such a great initiative ! I was so excited to hear about this ! It definitely brings me joy during these weird and difficult times... So thank you very much ! :D
this will be the first time i’m participating in the reading rush, i’m glad this is a more “chill” version so like you said i can practice for the real event haha
I'm going to (attempt) to read The Woman in the Window, which both has a house on the cover, and is about a woman who is agoraphobia and watches her neighbours through her window. Pretty fitting.
I'm fresh off of an extremely long reading slump and so excited to participate in this #readathon!!😊 I have no idea what my tbr will look like. Most of the books I'm anxious to read are in the post.😩
I've only one book with a house on the cover. And for my "place I wish I could go" book I'm picking a book set in my country bc ID LIKE TO GO OUTSIDE HERE THANKS
Hey! Could you tell me if there's a way to sign in for this 4-day-long challenge?) I had a page for TRR in 2019, but now I can't find where to sign in again.
Anything by Tamora Pierce, it's not hard reads and they have feel good vibes. There's also The Bird and the Nightingale trilogy by Katherine Arden and The Shamer Chronicles by Lene Kaaberbol
I’d recommend picking up a favorite of yours if you like to reread books and if not maybe a nice fluffy/easy to get through contemporary if that’s your thing! That’s what I usually go for when I’m in a slump
Ahhh this is such a wonderful idea! I've been in such a reading slum 😭 Here's my tag and tbr for the readathon! ruclips.net/video/hI3bR7_O5yY/видео.html

You should make the questions into little Instagram story posts so those of us who don't booktube can answer them 😁
That's what I was going to do!!!
Tags aren't exclusive to RUclips. People do them on their blogs and Instagrams as well.

Best news ever
I'm going to (attempt) to read The Woman in the Window, which both has a house on the cover, and is about a woman who is agoraphobia and watches her neighbours through her window. Pretty fitting.
Interestingly enough the hardest challenge for me is the book that makes me smile. I read only heavy stuff 😅
😂 I feel ya. I'm the same, I am doing it with the original challenges.
Same! I had to look up some lists for that challenge. Lol
I'm fresh off of an extremely long reading slump and so excited to participate in this #readathon!!😊

Love that you guys are doing this
Well I already filmed my TBR for this reading rush but I guess I'll film another for the questions! Good luck everyone 😊📖
When will the reading rush prompts be posted (for July 2020)???
I've only one book with a house on the cover. And for my "place I wish I could go" book I'm picking a book set in my country bc ID LIKE TO GO OUTSIDE HERE THANKS
Thinking of reading HOLLOW CITY to count as all four prompts. I can’t entirely remember the first book, so this should be interesting...
When will your TBR be up? 😁
Damn it! I have 50 pages of Emma by Jane Austen left and it qualifies for all those categories!
I'm reading Alcatraz vs. The Evil Librarians because I miss my library job so much lmao
Hey! Could you tell me if there's a way to sign in for this 4-day-long challenge?) I had a page for TRR in 2019, but now I can't find where to sign in again.
loved this but i dont know how to post to instagram :(
I'm already picking out my TBR! Do you know if/when the website will be up and running again?
Hi Ariel, I was just wondering I missed out on Thursday is it possible if I do my 4th day on Monday the 20th?
Also do we answer the questions each day on IG? Or make a video answering them all?
Just start exactly at midnight on the 16th?
For the second prompt, does anyone know if it has to be all in one go?
Yes!!!!!!! All of the reading rush fun. TBR and Tag done. ruclips.net/video/R-drTvXDWT0/видео.html
Why is this while OWLs readathon? Am I gonna be doing 2 readathons at the same time? Yes I am...
I wish it was still called booktubeathon. Just doesn’t feel the same. 😔
so the website only gives information and we can't add the badges and everything until the summer?
Link to Merchandise shop?
I'm depressed n in a book reading slump. Do any of u have a good book rec?
