Probably someone already mentioned it but the New Jeans 'Super Shy' mv was filmed in Portugal more specifically in the capital Lisbon. I was so shocked that they decided to film in my small but beautiful country.

1. NewJeans is killing it with their y2K sound and aesthetic (bringing nostalgia for us 90s and early 00s babies) and their simplicity is crazy refreshing in an industry that thrives on doing the most.
*Love the 90s/80s house influence on this song. The tune in the “you don’t even know my name do you?” phrase also sounds CRAZY familiar to me too!! I can’t figure out where it’s from tho 😭
They also fit SO WELL with the Powerpuff Girls brand it’s INSANE 💫 marketing at its finest 👌 the MV’s on another level 🔥 THEY NEED TO FEATURE ON THE SHOWWW (Monsta X did w/ We Bare Bears so idk why NewJeans can’t w/ Powerpuff Girls- if Cartoon Network revives the show, that is 🫠)
2. Bris, you ABSOLUTELY need to listen to the Jonas Brothers' album. I can tell you their recent album that came out this year has a very similar sound to this song w/ TXT. Also, when I heard the beat I knew AUTOMATICALLY that TXT would fit right in (SO MANY of their songs have that funk-sound to it). I'm surprised you were curious how they'd fit lol. Needless to say THE BEST EAST & WEST COLLAB TO DATE IMO.

i read that the NJ MV took place in Portugal? The colorful city/town gives off European mediterrenaen vibes that perfectly matches the positive vibes of NJ!
also I just saw the huge banners on the roof when NJ was dancing inside the vegetable/fruit market and it says something about Benfica! I googled it and Benfica is a neigborhood and soccer/football team located in Lisbon, Portugal
@@derekluvsboba Yes, you're 100% correct, Benfica is indeed a neighbourhood of Lisbon. They also filmed in places such as Jardim do Torel and Casa dos Bicos.
@@TheMr203020 I've visited Lisbon briefly while on a Mediterranean cruise maybe 10 yrs ago but I don't remember it looking like a colorful and scenic city! Are u from there?
@@derekluvsboba Lisbon has changed a lot in the last 10 years, but it has always been very colourful, especially on blue-sky days (which is the case in the video). The colours are also highlighted in the MV, but on sunny days the city is quite vibrant.

@@myyygirlfriend613 Yes! I also hear the Powerpuff Girls theme song in the beginning with the snare. If you watch the opening of PPG, after the sugar/spice/everything nice bit, the rhythm of the percussion that starts is the same.

Jonas Brothers did disband for a long while. Nick and Joe focused on their solo careers and Kevin, I'm fairly certain, just wanted to enjoy life at home with his wife and kids. (I also think that there was a bit of a falling out between the brothers for a hot second, but don't take my word for that...) They finally came back together and started making amazing music! And now, they're collabing with amazing K-Pop artists. I love to see it!

I think Super Shy was filmed in Portugal (big emphasis on think, I could be wrong). But i really like the song. Its such a calm summer vibe. They have such a developed sound that works perfectly for them. And the Powerpuff video was so cute and fun. 😭💙💚🩷 and its nostalgic, per usual for new jeans. I feel like their sound is partially nostalgic pop😭 but the fact that they made a song just to launch their lightstick and its still good☠️
