- These are the 1997-98 in 9000 series, ordered as the 2nd Novabus RTS' in MTA history. This is officially my remake from April 2019, when it was my 200 subscriber special.
Since the late 2000s, these RTS' I saw are the beautiful beasts to run with without maintenance risks. I saw these Ulmer Park, Grand Ave, Fresh Pond, and Flatbush Depot. And if I could remember, I may also have seen these out of Micheal J.Quill and other Manhattan depots, even Queens Village Depot too. But I suddenly got the unkown rare moments of these buses out of LGA Depot and further more into Yukon Depot. These RTS' from 1997-98, are what expected to be long lived despite the wheelchair mechanism errors. If they had require new lifts or increase of inspections, they would stayed alot longer than they were. I expected like, early 2019 as well as like the 1999 RTS' that were willing to last until 2021. And they are the 2nd controversial fleet since thw issues we had with the 1983 GMC RTS-04s. In reality, 2018 ended this series with #9674 thanks to Reggie Davis as @BLETransit-Régginator Inc.

I miss taking these on the Q2 & Q83 they used to take off and hearing that motor gave you chills!!!
Man I miss riding these buses & #9093 was the last bus on LGA depot when it retires

I remember I saw these RTS has on the B46 limited and local and the B47 these RTS is were amazing when I was a kid I used to enjoy riding these diesel buses because when I used to ride these RTSs it reminds me of riding an Orion VII OG CNGs but I did not ride at the Orion VII OG CNG.
And also one thing I remember I was riding on this RTS with the orange LED displays indyne used to be one of my most favorite RTS with the orange LED display I think it was based out of Grand Avenue or Flatbush Depot and I riding on it on the B47 And B46 Local And Limited

That's out of ENY Depot. ENY never had 1997-98s in 9000 series. But they had 1996 series in that number range.

My childhood bedroom was on the bustop on ave m and east 9th.. literally had people waiting for the bus a few feet from my bed and I went to sleep to the whine of the RTS for years
Great Review Cedric, I Remember Seeing & Riding Those RTS’s When The 1997-1998 RTS’s Was At Yukon Depot, I Have Good Rides With Those RTS’s When I Was On The S61, Whenever I Was Heading To The Mall Or Home From That Bus Route, So Much Memories, I Miss Them

Here's the ACTUAL depot assignments for the 1997-98 Novabus T80206 RTSs:
9350-9381 to QV Depot
9382-9444 to FB Depot
9445-9486 to GH Depot
9487-9534 to Hudson Pier Depot (Closed in 2003)
9535-9568 to JA Depot
9569-9604 to FP Depot
9605-9649 to West Side Depot present-day MJQ Depot
9650-9699 to KB Depot
Sadly, 9656 went up in flames shortly after being delivered, and was subsequently retired. But the 1999 orders would inflation 9656, But unfortunately the operation was totaled in an accident in 2008. 9464 was apparently involved in the collision involving ladder 103, Resulting in 9464 being scrapped.

1996 and 1999 RTS orders were better Coaches than these orders. Yes This P Diddy Song matches these orders.
