Have you ever had what we call Russian Tea? I make the dry mix and love it in the winter. There are different ingredients in the recipe's that are out there, but my favorite uses, unflavored Lipton dry tea mix, lemonade mix with sugar (I use country time), Tang dry mix, and some cinnamon and cloves. You just mix it up and store it in a tight container. It will keep really well! I mix mine a bit stronger than the recipe calls for. I have a cup almost every night in winter. So good!!
@@simplyhomeandharvest I found it on amazon. The 8 pack sells out quickly, but they restock often. I love it so much that I'm going to buy a larger box on the next order.
Prices are ridiculous 🙄 We stock up on Nature's Promise meat when it goes on sale. Typically every 4-6 weeks they run it 25 percent off. We also buy grass fed, grass finished hamburger at Sam's (it's cheaper than Aldi). Our main stores are Aldi and Food Lion but we also order from Thrive and Azure each month. We like Trader Joe's too but don't get there as often.
Somehow I missed this comment, sorry about that! I will have to check out the grass finished meat at Sam’s. I’ve been thinking about giving Azure a try as well.
Well, we hope prices will go down but who knows? Prices that went up after 9/11 never dropped amongst other things as well. Initially and ostensibly the price increase was due to Chi Vi and transportation costs. You know, if you shut down a major source of American oil and have to buy from another country prices of course are going to increase. We'll see what happens after that source is once again opened up on January 20. I am praying for this new administration and the healing of our country. Like I told you the other day, I'm trying to find cheaper butter prices. ANYWHERE! Now that Walmart has gone up to over 4.00 a pound (which is totally mind blowing) it's hurting to pay that much this holiday season. One of the dessert recipes my 91 year old mom is making this year calls for an entire pound of butter!!!! Hope we survive. I ordered for pickup at Wally yesterday a couple of boxes of GV vanilla wafers and was shocked at the increase over last year. I really only buy them at Christmas to make everyone's favorite rum balls. If I didn't make those, people would disown me, lol. Especially #2 son. It's truly sad how out of control everything got the last 4 years and I'm so hopeful that "Jesus will take the wheel" for the next 4. God bless America on this Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day and God bless us. Much love, Deb

We made that all the time in the 80s and I was thinking of reviving it this year. Sweet memories.
@@CathyHendrix1 I have had Russian Tea in the past but I don’t think I’ve ever made it. Might have to mix up a batch this year and try it again!
Oh yes...want to mention a new find in a wonderful hot drink. Swiss Miss Salted Caramel hot cocoa mix. Yum!
@@CathyHendrix1 ooohh tell me more!! Salted Caramel drinks are my fave!

I just went to our Aldi today….looking for the Almond Kringle but it hasn’t shown up yet. I’m hoping they sell it again this year.
@@beckyray8746 oh no! I’ve noticed that they are out of their usual holiday items at ours as well.
