Asaka is probably the best voice in J-Metal in as much as she has everything (except screaming) down, and her tones are perfect for the genre. She has a full range too. Spoopy hints at her full potential, the purring won me over. She also writes most of the music and is an ambassador for Gibson guitars. Clever girl. Their latest single “Haha” is a good example of TRiDENT today, probably because it’s TRiDENT being good, today. 😜
I’ll say… Ambivalent is my favorite song of theirs. The dynamics is insane. Nagisa-chan might be my #2 drummer behind Akane-san. Asaka-chan’s vocals is definitely growing on me. Serina-chan’s slapping is approaching F Chopper Koga’s level already.
The song title is pronounced (am-biv- el-lent) Serina is the bassist and leader of the band. Thought you'd like the prevalence of bass in this one and no this song is not indicative of their songs. Many of their songs the singer sings rather than doing more of a rap like in this song. For more of a traditional song by them recommend Cry Out music video or live. Thanks Mike.
This is not typical of their songs, but still a good one, I also like the bass the best in this one. They have several rocking tracks. Thanks for checking them out. 🔱 Looking forward to seeing you go down the rabbit hole of Aldious someday, they have a wealth of music, and are one of my very favorite bands from Japan. You will love them! 🤘
Not all of TRiDENT's songs are like this and the good Asaka can definitely sing longer passages. :) The same goes for the charming Serina on bass who, like Nagisa on drums, can become a real beast from one moment to the next. 🔥🤘🏻 Watch their actual live video for 'Cry Out' [Dream Up TOUR FINAL] next to hear more singing from both of them. Or their latest MV for 'Haha!', which is good for another sugar shock while appealing to sci-fi movie nerds and also demonstrates that they can kick some serious butt for a trio. :) [_____________________ ⟬ _"America invented rock. I'm not a fan of calling everything “heavy metal” these days. Trident is a rock band for me. Not hard rock, not metal, but rock. As usual with the Japanese girls : one of the best I've seen in recent years.

Check out TRiDENT’s recent single Haha! (which has a music video) for more of this bassist’s insane lines.

I see where you are coming from
The most creative song in TRIDENT is [SPO0PY]. I think this song shows what TRIDENT is capable of.
