Really nice video mate. I will go to Taiwan on 22nd of January....can you tell me what are the rules and if i need a licence/permit for fishing and also what are the rules regarding flying the drone. Thank you in advance.

Thanks! I never found anything (or at least never did) get a fishing permit… or get anything for my drone. It was a very light drone I just carried in my backpack compared to a large commercial one in comparison, so maybe my guerilla filming and fishing just worked out for me! Who knows

@@moderndayoutdoorsman Thank you for the reply. I have a Dji mini2 and i intend to keep a low profile while using it and do some similar footages as you did. I think it will be ok for me also if you had no problems.

@@spasi57 yes, should be just fine, the Taiwanese people are very nice, I don’t think they get bothered by much.

our nightmare of invasive fish now becomes tourists spot……

Yeah, that is the interesting part of wildlife management. In the United States, the state departments would capitalize on the publicity to sell more fishing licenses - but Taiwan not having that, would probably take a different stance.
They do seem like quite a difficult fish to get rid of.

Maybe so! Duane had fished for them in Thailand before fishing for them consistently in Taiwan, and was pretty confident that was the way to do go about it! But - more than one way to skin a cat.
