Slow day on the ice. Second ice fishing trip of the season and saw quite a few more fish then the first outing but they were just soo picky. Should of been there for first light that's for sure. Tried everything on them but only managed to land one on the rattle bait out of all things! What a beauty of a fish though. not much action other than that but lots of underwater footage to analyze fish behaviour. Hopefully things pick up here in the next few weeks and will see you in the next one

Sweet video bro. I’m glad I’m not the only one who watches fish come all the way in for a sniff and don’t take 😅 little punks!

That’s basically what I do 90% of the time Ice fishing for trout just watching them, And then I miss most of the ones that do bite 😂

@@avid.venturethat’s awesome using a camera can be a game changer! I think I will pick up an actual electronic panner down the road but in the meantime this will have to do 😬

Cool underwater shots and fun video homie! Do you think the underwater camera would ever spook the fish/ prevent them from taking bait?

Thanks man! Yea I’ve wondered about that as well but I think because its completely stationary they don’t see it as a threat. I also like to keep it up a little bit higher and have the camera pointing it down at them on an angle

For trout it’s definitely been a game changer for me. Learned a lot about fish behaviour, Lots of fish that come in from a distance and turn around never would be seen on a sounder. My camera actually broke halfway through the season so I sent it back but will buy another one

@@okanaganoutdoors That's awesome- thanks for the reply! I've been sticking my GoPro down there but i'm moving it around a bunch and haven't seen much on it yet. A camera/fish finder is definitely on the purchase list but until I'm consistently catching fish I'll hold off haha. Keep the vids coming man :)

@@thomaslawson177 yea I think it would be the movement that would scare them off. The awesome about fishing for brook trout (shallow water) is you don’t even need a camera or fish finder; sight fishing is the way to go. But I find as soon as im in around 10 feet or deeper targeting rainbows i cant go without my fish finder
