I just bought a 2022 TRD recently, and it’s a lot of fun. It could use much more to really have TRD mean something (such as RWD/AWD, turbo, etc) but even after owning a 2017 Grand Cherokee SRT, a 2015 Chevy SS, and multiple other V8 performance cars, the Camry TRD is still impressive. I mean come on, it’s a Camry that actually has some style to it. I would recommend 100%! While there are other cars in its class that are definitely faster, I still would recommend this car.

  • @VPhuoc79

I won't be the first owner, but I am considering a Toyota product to replace my current vehicle because, you know, reliability, but more to the point and similarly echoing what you said at the end of the video, I am considering the Camry TRD more for the fun and smile factor than anything seriously "sporty" or "performance".
We all know the limitations of FWD, and so, I am looking at something silly I can enjoy that will serve me for a long time come.
The throatier exhaust note certainly adds to the smile factor because too many vehicles today lack "soul".
I know everyone will define "soul" differently, but the fact that the TRD left the factory with a more vocal exhaust is a bonus.

The only thing the Camry is lacking is compared to other manufacturers their infotainment systems and tech are lacking. No wireless charging no remote start? No wireless Apple CarPlay. The infotainment still seems very outdated. The Honda Accord has way more updated features and better interface.

I feel you on that, I was torn between the XSE or TRD, in the end I chose the the TRD for a few reasons, first it was cheaper then XSE, second I don't like moon roofs, I live in Las Vegas we get plenty of sun, third I don't need a wireless charger, fourth I've never used seat warmers or cooled seats despite having a previous car with the same feature, fifth, don't need 360 degree camera, eyes are just as effective, the sixth reason I've never had to pull my rear seats down, seventh reason, I don't need a center arm rest in the rear seats, most of my passengers rarely ever used it in my 1999 Camry. For these reasons I went 2023 TRD, hopefully that helped 😊

The answer is that it’s both (technically, anyway). Whoa and woah are variant spellings of the same word, although traditional linguists argue “ whoa ” is the correct spelling. But since the expression is informal- and we often spell a reaction as it sounds- you’ll likely encounter “ woah ” within newspaper quotes, letters, or song lyrics. Woe is me.

My neighbor has one--I almost got one but i bought a Mazda CX-30 turbo--mazda is also slightly faster then this because with AWD it can get off the line--nice car but they got these at almost 45k rt now--in 2020 I bought a stinger over the camry because of the high price. At 45k it needs a turbo v6.I know the mazda cx 30 turbo and Kona N are niche vehicles--but both are 10k less and would dust this camry--I only pressed the pedal maybe 70% and had over a car length to 60 on this.Reliability--I would trust the toyota over most brands--but mazda is top spot now and the Kona is backed by a 10 year 100k warranty. It is a great car at 33k to 35k--at 43k to 45k it is too much--plus the sound systems are awful in these.

I think the smaller trunk and the tighter back seats. And the fuel consumption on those suck. Plus the 100k and 10 yr warranty don't really matter when you don't really see stinger at 100k miles and bing reliable. And you see Toyotas with 150k and they still want to sell it as new and driving as new. I honestly think people are forgetting most people buy Toyota for reliability. The trd was just built to give a sportier look doesn't nessarliy mean it's faster

I honestly can’t fathom why this even exists. If you really have eyes you’ll see just how lackluster the Camry is. It has poor fit and finish, poor build quality, wacky styling, poor performance and sloppy handling etc
There’s a reason that motortrend and car and driver say “an accord is better in almost every way. too bad the Camrys fit and finish lags the competition as does the driving experience. do yourself a favor and go drive an accord before pulling the trigger on the Camry. You’ll know what we’re talking about” because it really shows.
You can try all you want to say a Camry is better but that argument will quickly bite you in the rear end when you drive and experience the driving quality and revelation of the Accord that makes you weep at how good it is
