It's everything I wanted in a car and everything I didn't want deleted. Don't use a sunroof, don't use 60/40 fold down rear seats. I also think it makes the trunk look cleaner without the cables for the fold down. But look at what you get for the money is a steal of a deal!
I got the V6 XSE then just put on the TRD exhaust. I got the comfort with all the better upgrades inside. Just missing the suspension but I don't plan on taking it to the track so I'm good with the looks of my XSE and the TRD exhaust sound.
All V6 Camrys are sleepers. Let people sleep lol. In my 2020 TRD I’ve raced it a lot on the drag strip. I know that’s not what it’s meant for but I enjoy doing it! The car is pretty quick and With a turbo or supercharger it will legit be fast. I’ve beaten Challenger/Charger RT’s in the eight and quarter mile. Beaten a 2019 Camaro 2SS in quarter mile. With Camaro he spun but it proves that the car is fast enough to take off on you if you don’t know what your doing! Overall TRD is a awesome factory package which is way more than what people say “a appearance package” 🤣🤣
They made this car perfect. Anything more and everyone on the planet would be buying this car. It is the best selling and retaining car in the world. I just wrecked a model Y, and a kia stinger : the win straight line but the added camry suspension around ACTUAL races like circuit or lap and they’re eating dust. All depends on the driver and I pink slip mfs all day with this camry.
The TRD trim was released 2 month before covid started. They’ve only been a thing since 2019 and even those models were above 30k, you might be thinking of the xse trim
True prices were down before Covid, since automakers have lost business during Covid. Now they r charging extra on car to cover their so called loss. And dealerships r charging even more, 5 to 6 thousand extra on top of msrp. They r really crooks
Re: Interior - If Toyota put a TRD logo on the steering wheel, and more red stripes here and there, reviewers would shout overkill and bemoan the whole "lipstick on a pig" thing. The TRD already has the headrests, the mats, the gearshift in TRD form. Any more and everyone would be saying "Yes! I get it! You're a TRD! Now stop with the tacky!". My 2024 has the red stripes in the seat cushions. I think Toyota did it all well except: make the rear TRD badge black on the supersonic red package. Red on red is a washout. I'm pleased mine is midnight black. Great car.
Once again if you actually research this car it’s NOT a aero package this is much more than an appearance or aero package it’s actually is special. the entire suspension has been customized by TRD the interior has been redone. This model even has larger brakes/ better braking system. The TRD wheels are even lightweight to imported steering response. so once again this is not an just appearance package this is a legit handling package from the folks at TRD.
They look great but definitely not sleeper..it’s just a appearance package. They should ask Lotus to borrow there supercharger. It’s literally a XSE with suspension and exhaust with a cheap aero kit. That V6 can be had in other trims with zero difference
@@unrealisticgoals I was going to say the same thing. If it was based off the XSE then it would've been closer to 40K though which won't make it worth it at all. I'm happy with my 32K 20 Accord Touring. That 2.0T is a true sleeper for sure.
Please do your research the TRD model is not an “appearance package” This model has completely unique suspension wheels, exhaust system, changed interior pieces, larger brakes list goes on and on. It’s not appearance it’s been tweak to handle much better this is a “handling package”
Old old iron pig that lacks refinement, class and quality. Seriously just get a Sonata N line or a Skoda Octavia RS or a Kia and never look back at the un evolved past that is called a Camry…
See, us Catholics fuck up the word "Cavalry" too (the blue color of this automobile). Because Christ was crucified on CaLvary. So the placement of the L makes for the error. "Cavalry" were horse-mounted infantry, now tank-mounted. "Calvary" is the small mount upon which Jesus died on the cross. So, unless it's Easter time, remember CAValry is the best way to go. CAValry. CAV. CAV-AL-RY. Not CAL-VA-RY.

Spot on review. I went for the se because of the lack of features the trd has. Really wish Toyota offered more with the trd

XSE is the way to go. JBL/heads up display is a game changer.

Nice review. I agree Toyota could have done more to make the TRD Camry more special. As is, it’s more like a SE with a V6 with aero pkg.

a lot more to it than that, straight from the factory all covered by warranty because of that

Is this the same engine in the lotus exige?
Is the android auto wireless connectivity or do you have to plug it in with a wire?
have to plug in usb
Are you sure that’s 7 inch? I believe it’s a 9 inch Screen
2022 is 9 inch. 2023 is 7 inch
So you’re saying it’s not really much of a difference over an SE?
It definitely does
Not for creature comforts, no. But for performance? Hell yes.
I just got mine with the upgraded JBL audio. However there’s some ratting in the rear deck lid about the trunk when songs have bass. Any fix to that?
Stuff some foam like pads or sum in the holes in the trunk there’s a videos on it
And another question how the audio quality? Is the jbl upgrade worth

You have to build it online which takes a long time for it to be build at a factory

You can get a fully loaded GR86 Premium for that price point…..
But this 4 door would wax that gr86 lol in a drag race
They didn’t even throw in wireless charging for that price.
See this is when manufacturers should at least offer a manual transmission.
A-GREED! I mean wouldn't be the first time a Camry has had a manual but still that'd be sweet!

Honda Accord 2.0T is faster.
