I never reached black belt when I trained, but I learned this kata watching black belts do it, and 30 years later I still remember it.

I studied under Grand Master Odo, this is not Ananku. This is, "Something else."

One second you say that "this is not Ananku" and the next you say "This is "the real" Ananku". Make you mind up.

@@INFINITE_KARATE. Allow me to correct everyone, including myself. THIS is a Version of Ananku from a certain style of Karate. Okinawan Shorin Ryu version. It is a version, it is not Ananku. I think we can agree that the Bunkai hides application from the Kata. I think we can also agree that the Kata is a demonstration of certain Bunkai levels and interpretations. So, each style is likely interpreting a Kata depending on a Bunkai interpretation. However, I think we all recognize this is not Grandmaster Odo's Okinawan Ananku Kata. But a different lineage, a different interpretation. Thank you for your time. You honor me by seeking deeper meaning.

Also das schaut mir mehr nach Annonko (oder Annanko, je nach Stilrichtung) aus.

FYI: This is "the real" Ananku. Now, I realize as always, that Katas differ from Dojo to Dojo. But this is radically different. Perhaps you would be kind enough to inform me as to where you learned this, what your Kata origins are, or why your Kata is so radically different from Grand Master Odo's? ruclips.net/video/53DEY-R1xHU/видео.html

Bro, don’t be so defensive about it. He just got the name of the kata wrong. It’s actually Annanko.
