1:49 I love how when Morpheus asked 'give me your phone', the Cipher actually didn't have it (he dropped it earlier to the trash bin so agents/feds can track the team), and after a split second of awkwardness Trinity gave Morpheus the phone.
Imagine if Trinity did not give him her phone and he had to explain how he lost his phone, with all suspicion cast on him and some of their friends dying i doubt they would have let him live much longer!
did you notice cipher taking the suspicion off himself by asking where neo saw the glitch
omg, i never noticed, i love this movie
@@gregorytokas8721 Yea, but they didn't have time for all that, unfortunately. They needed to get out of there as fast as possible.
@@gregorytokas8721 that could not happened because if Cypher was killed at that moment, then when thety were in the walls he would not cough and they would've escaped so Neo would not been able to "decided" between him and Morpheus as the Oracle said so he would not "started to believe" that he is "the One". Everything is like the Oracle said: "Know thyself".
I just loved how everyone looked at Neo when he said Deja Vu and they're like, "The hell did you just say?!"
ProjectSun “D-Deja Vu? Did he just he say ‘the D word’?!”
The setup was great. They just all simultaneously halted when they heard that. It denoted their level of experience and skill.
ProjectSun, point and case! Bravo! Now what ?
I remember people used to react to a deja-vu like that. Like it actually was a "glitch in the matrix" and they weren't falling for it or something.
I see them sometimes and just.... Carry on. Lol
I just heard that cat in a tv commercial and I wanted to comment on the ads video “deja vu.”
Tanks acting is so underrated. The way he says “Operator” as he picks up the phone is chilling
Agreed, too bad he wasn't in the next 2 movies and got replaced by Link

@@Extremeboy243 he had a very public falling out about money, he wanted money equivalent to what the stars were getting.
@@theblackestvoid he was a star tho. He made the first matrix so good and he’s acting alone most of it. Sucks. Link wasn’t good.

sevan madatyan Yeah, he tried.
Tank is always my favorite Operator, Link is alright but, Tank had such an Operator charm to him. Like the dude really knew his stuff man.
I'm still curious why the production staff felt the need to write him out.
Also kind of wish that they'd managed to finish the third film before the actress portraying the Oracle died.
@@TWX1138 The actor had issues with his pay upon reprising the role, he had a few domestic violence charges around the time of the sequel production and was overall not pleasant to work with. I remember searching exactly why he wasn't in the sequels cause he was a good character.

He was in an Australian soap called Home and Away. I just remember him trying to eat loads of meat to put weight on lol.
fitting how the cats caused the death of mouse...
1996LWG am taking scriptwriting class and i took 5 sessions straight studying this movie, this is no irony no coincidence, the movie actually has alot of secrets behind it and this is one of the small ones
@@unbalanced4464 "the movie actually has alot of secrets behind it" true but an understatement and then some - first movie has an impressive number of layers and little things that you only really understand the significance of after seeing/understanding later bits of the movie, etc. especially some of the things to do with the motivations of different characters based on their backgrounds that aren't apparent at facevalue. Something that impressed me a lot was that concepts I was introduced to in the movie allowed me to see life events much later on in my life in a perspective that gave me an epiphany as to a deeper meaning the writer(s) must have understood all along. I find it funny when people say it isn't that deep, etc. as it really is a lot deeper than it appears but not in a way that is obvious or that you can easily show people unless you are a lot cleverer than I am.
Sadly the subsequent movies have barely a shadow of that which makes me wonder who truly wrote the first movie - I find it hard to credit the Wachowskis as their work since has been like that of a student to the master in comparison.
Yes, very true. I was thinking that it was fitting that a black cat walks past them and they run into some serious bad luck.
I mean it was black though

For anyone wondering, the pair of shotguns that mouse was using were actually custom built for the movie.
The Wachowskis originally wanted to use a pair of streetsweeper shotguns but they aren't automatic, so they had these (fully functional shotguns) built from scratch instead thanks to John Bowring and his armouring/weapons fabrication team.
Also, the things on top of the barrels aren't scopes, they're actually the motors that turn the cylinders.
Thanks, I've been wondering about exacly that
I can't think of anything more ignominious that getting killed in action whilst wielding 2 of the worst shotguns ever designed by man, so glad they changed it

By the time he got his guns out they had already kicked in the door. Because these hackers have perfect gun training downloaded into their heads, they have the ability to dual-wield. I always felt so bad for Mouse in this scene.
The last time I pulled out a structural drawing to find a specific room, of an 8 block campus I had first look through a drawing list, to get the right block and then find the right floor and then the right detailed floor plan because the general floor plan doesn't give enough detail. Then god forbid the room you are looking for is cut in the middle and continues on floor plan CS/C7-A209B which you then have dig out and align to tell what the hell is in the room.
The way mouse touches that wall and knows it’s the end of him is crazy just imagine being put in a position like that , knowing your dead meat 😤😤😤
This scene scared me a lot back then. It still does.
