The only criticism I have is you saying not to prepare or worry about storms this far out. You should ALWAYS have everything you need prior to hurricane season, and restock accordingly after each storm. You don’t go buy a fire extinguisher while your house is catching on fire, you don’t buy a gun in the middle of getting mugged. If everyone already had a decent supply of everything beforehand the shelves wouldn’t get wiped out the day before the storm.
Just my opinion as a Fireman in hurricane prone NC.

I agree, but the sad part is everyone can't afford to prep . 🙏🏻 It doesn't come here to NC or SC I live close to the line in Fair bluff the river is already high here. I'm retired EMT I prepare & I try to help my neighbors who can't. I live on a fixed income so I do what I can. Things like bread and water is what you can't find.

Does the NWS or NOAA or some other entity keep track of which spaghetti model is the most accurate during and after a hurricane? Since I'm a stat freak, I'd love to see the numbers on something like that. Plus it would help us armchair weather enthusiasts know which colors of the models to keep an eye on.

Simple. People aren’t talking about it because there’s not enough evidence to suggest it will even become a major storm that will make landfall. Feels like with hurricane season there’s a lot people looking for views.
Edit: I’m not trying to call out Nate with this comment, but to anyone who is trying to view-farm lately, you know who you are. Evidence does suggest this storm will continue to intensify, but I doubt there’s any reason to panic.

The sad reality is that YT wants content creaters to make clickbaity titles if a content creater wants to grow and get more views. It's not an excuse for really bad clickbait titles, because that's entirely the content creator's fault, but in this case it's rather tame and seems to get the job done. It's passable for a clickbait title. But I understand where you're coming from and in general I don't like view-farming and clickbait as well.

Why not discuss this (investment sure beats the billions we send overseas)?
Arkadii I. Leonov, a Professor of Polymer Engineering at the aforementioned institution, together with some of his colleagues, has come up with a patent that could suppress a storm’s ravaging activity by flying supersonic airplanes in circles around its eye in an opposite direction to that of its rotation.
If flying close enough, the planes' sonic boom generates a Shockwave which would highly increase pressure inside the eye of the storm and destroy the upward current of warm air which fuels the storm. According to the scientists, since the sonic boom spreads easily, it only requires a small number of jet planes to get the job done. "Two F-4 jet fighters flying at approximately Mach 1.5 are sufficient to suppress, mitigate and/or destroy a typical sized hurricane/typhoon," their patent application reads, as described by New Scientist.

However the storm is a good week or so off, ( for the USA), before it can be accurately predicted, as to the exact path that it will take. so basically its a russian roulette so no one from florida to the north east is safe from this thing cause it depends how strong the high pressure is along with either the frontal system either dips far south or stalls out plus the southern part cone of uncertainly should be watch cause if it takes more west track that would be a big problem for florida.
