I bought these boots because of this video…thanks William. I was so impressed by these boots that I wanted to leave a lengthy review that might help others make a decision. First off, I have a boot and shoe addiction. I own more Allen Edmonds than I care to count. I also own many Alden’s, including the Indy boot. So here are my two cents on this boot,(I really hope Thursday reads this.) This is my first pair of Thursday boots. I was wary of the brand because of their heavy social media presence and I have found some of those brands to be underwhelming. But I was looking for a good beater boot that I could wear in the elements but didn’t look like a classic work boot,( think Georgia Boots.) The Chelsea work boot market is enormous as many men who live in rural areas want something they can slip on quickly and still be comfortable in harsh conditions. And there are very few options in this segment that offer the versatility the legend offers,(I actually can’t think of any). I went on a long trip to Montana this fall and brought these boots as my only footwear. My buddy owns a big ranch out there and a bunch of old friends met up to do some upland bird hunting and general mucking about. These boots were worn in snow, muck, standing water, worn in cut corn fields, up mountains and anything else you can imagine. To clean them off for my trip home I just took a wet rag and cleaned them off. The boots looked and felt exactly the same as the day I unboxed them. That’s because this leather is extremely unique. It feels like nubuck but it acts more like chrome exl with lots and lots of oils and waxes packed into the leather. So now your thinking, cool they would make good work boots…but they are so much more than that. Because Thursday went with a longer toe shape these boots easily transition into a more heritage look. Wear them with some dark denim and black crewneck a you have a killer look you could wear in any urban setting. It’s the kind of boot that will absolutely wreak havoc on your boot addiction because it’s hard to justify wearing anything else,(unless you are fond of dress boots.) Ok, so some negatives. I’m not a huge fan of the footbed of the boot. They are extremely comfortable but the sneaker technology feels straight up weird. It’s very soft and cushioning but you also feel like you’re walking in sand. If you’ve worn some high quality heritage boots it will feel strange. It’s not a deal breaker for me, but I do wish they used a more traditional leather on leather build. Also these boots run large. I went down a full size to get them right. Other than that I can’t think of anything. So Thursday, if you’re listening…you absolutely need to go after the vast work-boot market. The legend is far superior to ariats, Georgia boots, carhartt…etc.
Thanks for the detailed review. I’ve been split between these and the Portland Leather Group/Patina welted chelsea boots around the same price. Unfortunately Patina redesigned theirs without real Goodyear welting recently tho, and Thursdays has kept the leather midsole. Decision made
I'm an 11.5 E on the Brannock, and Thursdays 11.5 is a perfect fit for me. So if you have a foot wider than D you might just want to get true to size. Update: for the legends I sized down to 11 and I still felt like I was sliding around a bit so that was strange.
the legend seems to run a little bit long. I'm either a 12D or 11.5EE in most shoes and got the legend in 11.5D, they seem slightly long and a touch narrower than I'd like. I saw they used to carry these in wide, I wish I bought some.
Not all thursday legend boots are as narrow toe box as in this video they have terrible quality control I bought 3 pairs of legend matte black, bourbon and tobacco my black Matte pair and bourbon are more of a rounded toe box and my tobacco pair is more narrow like in this video so definitely won’t buy from Them again
Thursday is my favorite boot/shoe company. I have three pairs of boots from them. Happy with all three pairs! VERY good boots for the price. They could easily charge way more than they do, but don't. And that's why I love them so much. They don't abuse the working class by overcharging and/or using shit materials like a lot of shoe/boot companies do. I feel like with Thursday, you get exactly what you pay for and more. 10/10 will buy more from them in the future. 👢👢
@@GianMelendres-if7ph Yes. They are built better than Docs but still had the same issue. No support with that style of sole. Walking on top of empty voids with no shank (or just a wood shank that will break at some point) and no arch support at all. Still a nice looking "boot" but there are so many other options for a similar price (or just a bit more) that are actually going to be better in SO MANY ways.
@@OfDeath so between Solovair and Thursday, are you gonna choose Thursday? Also, any other brand of boots at this price range? I have a Solovair Derby 8-eye, and a Sebago campside/chukka boot. I was thinking of getting a 2nd Solovair but at the same time I’m keen on asking other people’s frank/honest insights. 🙏🙏
@@GianMelendres-if7ph I guess it depends on what you need it for. I use a lot of different brands for different reasons. Redbacks are great if you're working hard and standing on your feet a lot. Thursdays are perfect casual boots. Ariat has some great boots as well for many different purposes. All have options that are about $200 or less.
meme ready faces!! i got a pair of these in a falcon color that have broken in BEAUTIFULLY over the past year or so, and they've seen some WEAR. I even took them to the beach a few times for fire spinning
Can you please do review between the legend boots. Good year welt vs storm welt? Not sure why the Falcon boot is the only one that’s different from the rest. Does that mean it’s better or worse? If neither then why didn’t Thursday keep the good year welt if it’s not different? Thank you in advance!
With just a brush and a microfiber cloth my Tobacco leather got really smooth, dark and shiny. While Thursday says not to, if you oiled these and burnished them with a rag, I bet you could fully shine them up. I really like the Tobacco leather after it loses that rough texture. If first noticed the change where my jeans rubbed the leather and thought to myself that I could make the rest of the boot look like that, lol.
I noticed that there are some wrinkles on the middle of one of your boots mine have the same problem is that normal or is it something that can be fix ?
after having for a while now, how would you describe the water resistence on the explorers? Do they keep you dry even though they don't have gusseting?
What is under your foot in a Thursday boot: Foam Fiber Board Compressed Cardboard Cork Leather Rubber Outsole The foam makes them easy to wear right out of the box and by the time that wears out your foot forms to the cork underneath. Very comfortable boots. I stand/work in my Thursdays all day long and have no issues. Their two boots that are made in the USA (Loggers/Vanguard) are higher quality (more leather, cork and extra fat shank).
I love Thursdays. They and Whites are my favorites. I own more Thursdays cause the Whites cost a lot more. They are always built right with no flaws and fit my wider foot. Thanks for another good review.

PSA: The Legend has wide sizes now!! :)

Same. I'm a 10 to 10.5E sneaker and the Thursday 10 normal fits pretty good.

@@OfDeath I see. I just need a boot that’s like… “the better Dr. Martens replacement”. That kinda notion?
Would this be good for a regular winter boot for someone who works indoors?
I thought you were getting rid of most of your boots Will 😬
Thursday does have these in eee wide size 👍👍👍

Any way you could share a picture of them? I'm very curious how the Falcon breaks in.
How narrow is the toe box?

Have you tried the Beckett Simonon Silva boots? Which do you think is better? They have very neat waterproof elastic side gussets.

Wow, wow, handsome William nicely terminator boots.

im curious how tall are you so i can compare my foot size to your boots
Best chelsea
Nah
Doesn’t Thursday use fiberboard? Parkhursts Chelsea is much better
What is under your foot in a Thursday boot:
Foam
Fiber Board
Compressed Cardboard
Cork
Leather
Rubber Outsole

you make the best face dude
do not fall for cheap boots
Nice review, where’s that denim jacket from?
