My favorite thing about handmade knives are the kurouchi finishes, no two are ever alike and you can see with your own two eyes the art and skill of each one. Even though I sharpen my own knives I would be thrilled and honored to have my knives sharpened by this young expert/master, but more so watching him do it, in Japan. And then stroll through Kyoto's gardens. And then I could die happy...but very old. I ❤ Japan!
