Whimsical visionary here! And two years later it STILL is bringing you leads! New scribe and I’m looking to tap into quizzes! I’m here from your friend Chanti!!
OMG, Rachel I love it-it's so funny, even at a conference I was speaking at this week, someone said "have you ever shown how you made your quiz" and I said you know I actually never have until this week in a video ... ;)
Emerald! Without knowing the nitty gritty of your business/shop it's hard for me to say BUT after a quick google search I found this article that I think will help you with the tech side of things: help.tryinteract.com/en/articles/748462-how-to-add-a-quiz-to-a-shopify-com-site . Hope this helps! :)
Thank you Ashlyn, your video was a totally brilliant 'how to' and super-duper timely. Love it! You've got another subscribed over from over here in UK-ville. Thx
@@AshlynWrites Definitely useful, especially your suggestion to test out the title etc on some of my current or ex-clients. I may even test it out on a few people who've not yet started working with me (Hey, the worst they can do is not respond, so what's to lose?). thx again
Yes! I took your quiz and I got the "Winsome charmer". I am the kind of person who likes to take and re-take quizzes to see if I get the same answer :)
So my re-take netted me "Poised and Polished". Reading the results from June 2019 to present, I can definitely see how social isolation has impacted my helper gene. The extra time working from home has also caused me to get more organized and hone in on a plan. So the quiz results make sense to me!
It’s the synchronicity for me! Completely independently looking for a tutorial on a quiz opt-in, yours shows up I start watching before I see your name, then I realize you’re the copy writer that my brand strategist raves about
Ashlyn, I love this idea. Not only the style/psychology/data mining aspect but I design my quizzes with SEO in mind. Do you proof-read copy as a side gig at all? Working on 2021 stuff. Been watching a ton of your YT stuff, very Helpful. Ps. I like doing quizzes where I answer and then the results are shown broken down into percentages so I can 'compare' myself to everyone else that took the quiz! Sincerely, Ken
Thanks so much for your comment, friend! GREAT question. You can find all the services that I offer here: ashlynwrites.com/copywriting . If something looks like a good fit, can you email Rach on my team at hello@ashlynwrites.com and we can go from there! :) Thanks again!
Hi I'm new to the channel and I have just watched your 2021 email marketing predictions video. I'm currently starting an automated email series and I thought of putting a quiz as the lead opt-in (you've convinced me!). I was wondering if you think putting an extra quiz in the same email series - say at the middle of the sequence - makes sense or if youve ever tried that somewhere for yourself or your clients?
Timothy! You know what, I didn't really use a copywriting formula because I wasn't too worried about pushing a sale there-that was the end of the funnel. You could totally rock a quiz that drove into another product or offer though. That'd be cool. If so, I'd use something like solution (their results) > challenge (now that they know this, what's the NEW problem) > opportunity (if they fix that, what would they be able to do) > link/cta (here's an offer that will help you do just that).
Can't say I understood all of the quiz questions but the results were great. I'm looking for a way to qualify leads to save time. And this may be the ticket. Poised and Polished
^^^ GREAT feedback for me, Bonita! And yes-it definitely helps qualify leads and self-select if they want to be in your realm or need you or not. p.s. we get the same results. :) sounds like you're a little type A/organized like me!
Is it good to create a quiz for a client if they don't want more subscribers to their email list? I'm in this situation. What else can be given to the person if he completes the quiz? Free PDF depending on his answers?
Martin! TBH, if it were my client I'd sell them on getting their subscriber count up. ;) So yes, to me it's email list or the highway, but that's my opinion!
I love to take quizzes and have done yours Ashlyn, but I was wondering what type of questions to ask for Pilates. Would I ask questions that would lead my audiences' answers into a 'beginners' or an 'advanced' level categories or other? Thank you.
Hey, Charmaine! I would think back to what would serve your audience ... would it help them to tell them if they're beginner/advanced? It may not-they likely already know that! Try to collect that data within the quiz for YOU to know on the backend, but don't be afraid to get a little creative with the quiz's hook ... what Pilates move are you//etc
Ashlyn, your quiz was the most spot-on I've EVER taken. (Winsome Charmer felt like you truly knew me.) Absolutely amazing. However, I'm beginning to think my buying/selling style is not the same style as my authentic personality! I wonder if I should try to change that and if I would have more success.
EJ! GREAT question. You *definitely* want to make sure that you are selling authentically but you also want to make sure you are matching your audience and speaking to them specifically! :) I hope this helps!
Thank you for your kind words, friend! Opt-in numbers can vary widely offer to offer & day to day. As usual, we suggest aiming for industry-standard 2-5% conversion … however, on freebies & low-ticket offers, conversion numbers can creep up much higher because the barrier to entry is a lot lower. (People take things that are free with a lot less hemming & hawing than when they have to pay $100+)! I hope this helps! xx.
I've been on the hunt for adding a quiz for my site visitors, after taking yours (Poised + Polished over here). I can't wait to implement this after seeing they have quizzes for bridal & beauty. I have a pretty detailed contact form that asks some of the same types of probing questions to help me identify their makeup style, thinking the quiz would be more fun. Q: Should I leave the questions on the contact form if I create the quiz or just go with the quiz and scale down my contact form? Thinking as I'm typing, I could potentially include a link to the quiz in my brochure to send after the complimentary discovery call, if they decide to work with me & bypassed it. Thoughts?
Tamecka! GREAT questions! Typically, the more questions on a contact form, the less likely it is to be submitted...So I think I would build out a quiz-once someone submits a quiz you have permission to follow up in their inbox and opportunity to do more business with them- then pair down the contact form!:) Also, make sure the quiz leads into a nurture sequence!). Cheering you on friend!
Sorry to jump in... But If I was your audience I would be bored to fill out a detailed form... But if it's a quiz, that would be fun to do and as well as see the results for myself... Quizzes are a great lead-gen...
@@digitallysayra No worries! I appreciate the feedback. I love the idea of quizzes too & if I can have fun way to engage with prospects to start building the relationship...win!🙌🏽
RJ! Love it-I always get Poised & Polished and when I read the results I WISH I had a little Whimsical Visionary in me. I'm not quite that cool & breezy. ;) Are you going to make a quiz??
Haha, well YAY! I've always liked that "you can be the juiciest, ripest peach in the world, but someone doesn't like peaches" quote ... :) Good reminder to keep chugging, because to each his own (and that's ok!)!
People love quizzes! For sure. Also, off topic, but are you using a simplified planner again this year? The creator, Emily Ley made me fairly angry this year, but gosh I love her planners. Trying to decide between a stalogy and simplified.
Hey, Christie!! I'm jumping ship ... this is a weirdddd reason, but my favorite colors are neutral and neutral. HA! Having a bright colored planner felt *not* me, and it weirdly (does this show my OCD tendencies or what) stressed me out and didn't feel me after years using it. I am using Michael Hyatt's planner, and LOVING it! It's more to set up, but I tested it with Q4 this year and went ahead and bought for the new year.
I made the mistake that i created the quiz, and realised just before it was finished, that you need to pro account or at least the light version, to be able to do it with the opt-in form. Because my whole point was to create it as a lead magnet..bummer!
@@AshlynWrites No worries, not your fault! Just thinking about ways now, to redirect the answer to landing pages. But still not sure yet how to get their email addresses... :D
