Thanks Vince for reviewing the 1958 Cab. Sounded like it would have been interesting, but pleasant is good. Might be time to move onto something else completely.

Hey Vince, Really enjoy your reviews. In the Paso Robles region, check out Austin Hope and his various brands to include Treana. Also, Daou. Both have very high end cabs and red blends very indicative of the Paso/San Luis Obispo region. Both have respectable cabs starting in the $20.

      I agree 💯 I love treana

GREAT recommendation with Austin Hope, I just did a quick search, I think this could be right up my alley! I reviewed Daou recently, let me know if you agree with my deductions ;)

@@VINCEWINE I enjoyed your Daou review and agreed! Treana is probably my favorite Paso Robles Cab right now, even better than Daou or Justin. These are all in the $25 or less price point.

Hey Vince, 1858 is a popular wine, enjoyed by many people. For me, priced at $37, I'll keep shopping. A lower to medium price range from "Paso" is Justin Winery. There $20 cab will out drink the 1858 IMHO. It is also worth a visit if you have never been there. Just when you're sure you're lost, viola, there it is.

Couldn't agree more, I actually reviewed Justin in my "How different are top shelf vs. bottom shelf wines?" video, and really loved it! But how is Isosceles, is that worth it?

@@VINCEWINE I am excited to try Isosceles. I heard Justin himself talking about it and it is Bordeaux style. It sounds very much worth it.

I have to echo that Treana is a must try! It is my favorite of the Paso Cabs I’ve tried thus far (Justin, Daou)- though I’ve loved all of them. I’ll skip on this one based off your review! I don’t think you’ll be very impressed by Conundrum. I used to enjoy Conundrum back in the days I was drinking $12 Josh Cab, but since my palate has changed ($20-$25 minimum, lol)…I don’t enjoy Conundrum anymore. It’s just boring. It’s been a year since I tried it, but last time I did my takeaway was that it was boring, and I haven’t bought it since. Caymus is phenomenal. It’s my favorite Cab thus far. (I want to try Austin Hope Cab and hear it is possibly even better for $30 less). But thus far, Caymus is my favorite. It improves after having time to breathe. It is complex, full bodied, balanced, and silky smooth. It is absolutely lovely. Since you liked Daou and Justin, I can nearly guarantee you’ll love Caymus. I’d be shocked if you didn’t. I have a hard time paying the price point for it nowadays though. Caymus is supposed to be at it’s peak after spending a few years in a wine cellar. Quilt Cabernet (a Joe Wagner wine) is also very good. Not as good as Caymus, but very good, and much less expensive. ($37 at Total Wine). I look forward to more reviews…I especially hope you’ll try Treana and Caymus! 😃🙂 Cheers! 🍷

Move on, sir, move on. As I said before, even Caymus is made this way. It's just 3x's the price. With that said, I would still love to see your reaction to Conundrum...easily the worst bottle in their portfolio. Cheers!

Haha, yeah I think I'll take a break from Wagner on the next one, but I definitely have to finish the journey now by tasting Conundrum, especially after your high praise 😉🍷

Fantastic Idea. I think I'm ready to take a break from Wagner at this point anyway 😆 Let's do Bordeaux next shall we?
