Why does America have to police the world....if America was the way it is now 20-30 years ago wed invade to "defend democracy". Are we supposed to believe that the Russian military, who can’t even rotate tires on trucks they know they will use, has expensively and expertly maintained nuclear weapons they know they can never use? No way.

The Russians suffered huge casualties…but they did not “win” WW2.
And saying that the Germans must be good fighters is like some dude sucker punching random strangers on the street, knocking them out, and thinking that makes him the world’s best boxer.

These hastily assembled defenses, likely manned by conscripts and degraded units, have questionable utility against a motivated and well-equipped attacker. We’ll see. Its Russia that dont wanna invest anything on roads , nothing else. There aint no problem what so ever having a pavement road bellow 0. Sure we need to fix potholes and such on some places like every single year, but it aint so bad.

No it proves nothing of the sort. A actually dysfunctional army would use veterans for border guard duties and conscripts at the front.
