No rethoric, no confusing sentences. Clear and to the point. Thanks, President Stubb.
Clear, delusional, and destructive wishes!
yeah, I like him
Yeah he's speaking very bad things without even hiding it. Im really worried where his dangerous politics will lead us
He is just liar you have to understand he is fraudster who spread propaganda and lies and he want war with our neighbour.
I am curious. Why is it that many educated Europeans are more articulate in English than many Americans for whom English is a first language?
Alexander Stubb may be an exception (from a bilingual Finnish and Swedish speaking family, fluent also in English, German and French, speaks some Italian), but in most cases Europeans need people in the lead that can communicate in several European languages or at least can speak decent English. Finnish president leads the foreign policy and has little power in anything else, so one reason for Stubb to win the tight election may have been that he was expected to communicate well and use his skills to serve his country. In Finland the second language, most often English, starts on grade 1 for everyone, and therefore there are kids that are close to fluency before they turn 15.
@sampohonkala4195 Alexander Stubb is not an exception in terms of english skills. All scandinavians are very good at english. As you mention yourself, they start english classes very early in school.
@@hanshansen3885 Stubb is not a Scandinavian, he is a Finn... I think he is somewhat of an exception, though, as he got his bachelor's degree in the US and his wife is from England. For a Finnish politician he also communicates well in general. Sanna Marin had something of the same quality in Finnish; both make their opinions extremely clear - good and bad opinions alike.
@sampohonkala4195 Technical you are correct but many also include Finland in Scandinavia. There are strong ethnolinguistics differences between Finland and the rest of the scandinavia but in most other ways Finland is very connected and similar to them.
Again, I disagree with your assessment.
Sadly, most US citizens don't get a very good education, because people have to pay a lot for it. That means that the US is not supporting their poor kids that want to learn. What a waste! I was shocked to hear that when a child is born in the US the family starts a savings account for his-her education! Schooling is free or nearly free in Europe.
Many people don't know that Finland also fought the Russians and lost land, so they can understand Ukraines situation.

Really? A visionary? Let's wait and see.
He's not very bright quoting that unrealistic "peace formula". He pushes a typical western narrative e.g. h's just a talking head reading preapproved points
People (in democracies) have the president they vote for -- hence deserve.
He speaks English quite well, but has great difficulties with logical thinking! The story is not about freedom, Ukraine has been sold and is going to be annexed to the imperialist-globalist E.U. platform.
His language isn't English. How many Western leaders can speak so effortlessly in another language?!
Fabulous control. Soft accent. English has been the dominant business language for many decades globally. Even in Ukraine you'd be surprised at the amount who've taken it up as a 2nd language.
He is bilingual (Finnish and Swedish) to start with, and fluent also in English, German and French.
Most people all around the world can speak english pretty well saying this as a non english speaking european
I was thinking the same, he speaks 5 languages
His English is better than the English of a certain 78 years old American.
It would be fair to say that Finns have a good understanding of the Russian character. It's refreshing to listen to an intelligent person.
Well they have none of this actually. What he says might please the ears of those who don’t know the subject but believe me it makes zero sense
@@Ebaniovo Ah yes sure lets believe a random stranger on the internet without arguments rather than all the countries that border Russia.
@alphalance9408 all the countries that border Russia follow the US very uncomplicated agenda. Finland used to be neutral and co-existed peacefully with Russia for many decades after ww2: economic trade, social prosperity. It’s all over now. Finland has decided to be an anti-Russia country for no particular reason even in a much more extreme way than the Baltic states: closure of border, illegal seizure of Russian state assets, ban of Russian cars and confiscation of assets from civilians who were crossing the border when it was open. This all constitutes casus belli. It’s naive to think that it will go without a response or that the US especially under Trumps administration is going to uphold this or that NATO’s article 5 can be validated in the event of casus belli. Finland is walking on the edge of abyss. Big time.
@@Ebaniovo If you have a grain of rationality in you then to look trough the eyes of Eastern Europeans.
They were conquered again and again by Russia. Why do you think that almost every Eastern European country begged Nato to join? Why is that?
@@Ebaniovo Everything has a reason. People have the right to dislike Russia and not want to have any relations with it. There is no such obligation to love Russia. I may not like many things in America, but in America I can say so, and if I do so in Russia, I may fall out of a window "for no particular reason", be poisoned, my transport may crash, etc. I can say that I hate America, and America will not come to my house and force me to love it. But Russia will, because it is a rapist by nature. If you like it, if you don't like it, bear it, my beauty,' as their Tsar said. When Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, I was talking to a Russian woman. She really could not understand why the Ukrainians were defending themselves. As she explained to me, the violence had to be endured because if you fight back, it will only get worse. It is the most disgusting thing I have ever heard. Later I heard the same thing from other Russians. I think that the Finns, the Baltic peoples and others who had to deal with the Russians just tolerated it, but now they can no longer stand it. And they are right. You can't let perverts into your life.
Finland's president is a very smart man, we need to listen to him & respect his opinions.

No the plan of Trump is to give anything and everything daddy putin wants from Ukraine, of course in exchange for something, what that is, your guess is good as mine.
Fully support to Finland and Ukraine. Finland had the same destiny as Ukraine today. Russia unlawful invaded Finland in the late 1930 and Finland fought Russia for 2 years, but it had to surrender approx also 1/3 of its territory which was totally unjust.
Don´t let this happen again with Ukraine - Russia can stop this war any day by obeying international law and treaties Russia as signed itself (Budapest Memorandum) and take its troop out of Ukraine!
Finland ceded roughly 11% of its territory. The Red Army failed to get more.
Wrong, it was the Soviet Union, not Russia. 2 different things and entities. Also, every land takeover is unjust, but that's human nature and part of History. Every country was created through wars at one point in history. You can't change human nature, it's in our DNA.
@@januskaminsky5399 Yes it was the Soviet Union and Putin emphasises daily that Russia is the successor and wants to re-establish the Soviet Union territory. Its a dangerous path you are running down - just look at todays Russian friend China - there is already strong opinions to reclaim its Manchuria territories - but probably they will sign a treaty with Russia in the near future for all territories East of Irkutsk - but Russia shouldn´t worry - its just human DNA
Where does it says in the Bd. Mem. that Ukraine has a white check to pursue ethnic cleansing? And to join NATO? which was supposed at the time of concluding the Memorandum to remain in the 1991 borders where the Russian USSR leader Gorbachev agreed on the reunification of Germany with the expansion of NATO into the Eastern part of Germany. How long an agreement has validity? Internal laws are subject to change or modify and, international treaties also. Russia did not withdraw from the Memorandum, its provisions are still active, except the Russian speaking population does not want to be cleansed and thus, do not want to be governed by Kyiv, it is a simple fact from which, those who did not agreed, went to a campaign of ethnic cleansing under the "fog" of an "anti-terrorist campaign". You can see what does terrorism: blows up civilian public buildings, blows up civilian public buildings and infrastructure in other cities of other countries or in the capital city, AlQaida remember? So, the Kyiv Gov. mocked the notion of terrorist activities by falsely claiming an independence movement is terrorism, while another continuation of the same governments blew up Nord Stream, which is pure terrorism. So, the French Revolution for instance, was terrorism (and yea, if it would not have succeeded, it certainly was), also the US Revolution for Independence was a terrorist activity, no? By the moment when, the Bd. Mem, will not be repudiated by Russia in full, read its provisions and you will see that they are functioning, but Kyiv blended its provisions with the international provisions of the UN Charter and invaded Russia, so this may give a pretext for Russia. The US did obey the international law when it attacked Iraq in 2003? Were there any US settlers or citizens shelled by artillery or abducted?

You think best of presidents are actors who needs military advices with every question.
He was exceptionally bad as PM in 2014-15. However, foreign policy is his field and he has started ok as President. I did not vote for him but we had two fairly good candidates on the second round and neither would have been a disaster.

Big Respect for the President of Finland! Very intelligent analysis. I liked his address to the United Nations, too. Who in the world can have a " good relationship" with Putin nowadays, after all that happened and since Russia is the ally of Iran, North Korea and China?
The same people who would bully other children in school or flock around the bully because they are too weak and afraid of becoming the next victim.
Finland is going to be very very important in ending the conflict! Everybody will ask Finland
Brilliant answers from the Finish President, to a less than zero Fox 'News' mouth speak
Proud of our neighbor’s president! 💪🏼🇸🇪❤️🇫🇮
This war would have been over at the outset if Ukraine had been given support it needed at the beginning.
Superb President in Finland. Well said. IRELAND
Finland appears to have an awesome president !
I'd vote for him. 😂
Two years ago Finland's premier minister Ms. Sanna Marin named the ONLY condition that is needed to end the war she said: "The war ends when Russian troops leave Ukraine"! No need for more conditions, when one is quite enough!
Western countries should send more weapons to Ukraine and remove all restrictions on their use!
And Western leaders and military analysts should stop talking about how WW III can break out! All talk of WW III is saying what Putin wants them to say! It is fearmongering!
This is the only ever time I have watched a Fox News segment and only because I noticed the interview was with this fine man. President of Finland.
I am forever impressed, this is what every leader should sound like. Thank you president of Finland for your exemplary example of how a president should behave.
Finland has more skin in the game, being closer to the war zone. Many of the European nations know too well the casualties of war. This can and will be a hard peace to negotiate. No country should try to dominate another through war. Ideals, morality, humility needs to take precedence. A piece of land is just that, no less, no more. The sooner we figure that out and whether we like someone or do not cannot play into any peace negotiation. Everyone needs to be held accountable, individuals as well as nations for any crimes committed against humanity. No exceptions. The world body needs to stand together as a whole in this fight. Which form of governing each nation chooses is of their own but, through not so much a world order but that of a world precedence of humility for all, so long as individuals are not repressed of their freedoms, we can only hope the deliverance of peace can be maintained by all.

The best time in Finland was Urho Kekkonen's time as President of Finland (1956-1981). It was a period of stability, economic growth, and adept foreign policy, which helped Finland navigate the Cold War era with a unique balance. And Urho Kekkonen spoke Russian. Here's some advice for other countries: try to have a good diplomatic relationship with your neighbours, no matter what countries they are.
A normal person would probably not brag about having a good relationship with Putin..
A normal person would not live in the Cold War past. There is nothing wrong with having friendly relations with Russia and President Putin the US had them in the early 2000s 🤡

@botornvig A normal person would realize that having friendly relations with Russia and President Putin are beneficial. Normal people don't live in the Cold War past. You do realize the US had friendly relations with Russia and President Putin in the early 2000s. The U.S didn't like President Putin as he would never be a US puppet that sells out his country
I like the President of Finland.
23 countries have donated more to Ukraine than the US measured as a % of GDP & no 1 are at 6 X the US.
The US is only a big donor because it’s a big country.
Your “logic” demonstrates the truth that you can make statistics back any claim. To quote that meme “everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to you”.

The EU nations primarily finance the state of Ukraine. War materials are more sparing, with donations from storages.

Why doesn't anyone mention the 'none aggression agreement' Russia/Ukraine signed when Ukraine relinquished their nuclear weapons?
If Russia flagrantly broke that 1994 Budapest Memorandum, underwritten by the US government, then Ukraine has every right to her nuclear missiles back.
because it is the reason why Russia and USA are supporting Ukraine in their civil war.
also demanding territory restoration is partially questionable as if western backed side gets all areas back under their control what will happen to all those Ukrainian citizens who now oppose that government? solving situations is not so simple after all.
Because Russia broke that Pact by attacking against Ukraine 2014 - and by waging war against Ukraine even more intensively since February 2022 - and because for example USA broke it's commitment concerning that agreement to quarantee Ukraine's safety when Ukraine gave up it's nuclear weapons which were inherited from the Soviet Union era (when Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union).
The non agression agreement you are talking bout was made in the context of Ukraine not joining a military alliance devoted to fight Russia.
@@angeurbain6129 And Ukraine wasn't going to join, Einstein. Now yes, oh yes. Just like Sweden and Finland.
Putin should get a medal from NATO for his contribution to enlarge it by 3 nations.
