    I agree with you regarding the contrast color at the bottom of the hem. I feel it draws attention to the middle or bottom of the sweater which is not an area of MY body I care to accent lol😂

    I honestly thought my stash of purple yarn was out of control, but all that purple yarn behind you has me bowing down to you!! the Issa cardigan is absolutely gorgeous on you.

    With you for emotional support for your stria! I haven’t started the hat I was “supposed to” make because of how much work went into into the sweater

    Your Isa cardigan is beautiful and fits you so well! Another podcaster recommended this pattern, but now that I’ve seen yours I am planning to make it. But I will wait for your project video so I can know what to watch out for. Thanks so much for doing those project videos!

    I know you said in the Scotland vlog that picking colors is something you feel nervous about, but everything I have seen you make, the colors are fabulous. The stripes on the Stria are beautiful, the contrast between the colors of the Azucena (I vote yes to the hem and sleeve hems btw) is fabulous, and all the different purple tones you find to use are amazing. You are more talented at that than you give yourself credit for!

    Hi there, I watched this episode for your Stria update. I was thinking of casting it on but I think I’ll change my mind after your comments. It looks amazing I hope you finish it.

      It's a great pattern, just very tedious with the fingering weight combined with the half fisherman's rib. Sadly I won't know if it was worth it until I'm done!

    Lauren's Elm base is 100% chef's kiss. It was my first treehouse yarn, found out at... KNOTTY LAMB! Lol
    Fingering weight projects are frightening in comparison to dk. I say this because my first was a fingering weight Flax, and my second & third garments are DK. Buuuuut I also say this with a for sure upcoming fingering weight garment, probably not until December or after with my current lineup.

      I LOVE the Knotty Lamb! It's such a cute shop! And yes the Cashmere Elm base is so incredibly good. I knew it would be luxe from the cashmere, but I was even more impressed than I thought I would be!

    I kinda like the idea of doing the contrasting colorwork on the cuff, but just doing the ribbing in that lighter color. And the bodu ribbing in the same darker color as the body.
    For the Colette pullover yarn harvesting: i think that yarn suited that pattern really well. So I think using it for a pattern that has that similar kind of, like, delicate and feminine vibe, would be nice. So maybe the Blossom, Silver Leaf, or Wisteria sweaters by Along Avec Ana. Or the Salty Air Sweater by Samantha Guerin. The Poetry Pullover mohair edition by Sari Nordlund could also be nice.

    Another informative and entertaining episode, Rachel, thank you. (And only because I have heard you correct yourself about mispronouncing words, Claudia's name is Quintanilla which is pronounced Keen-tah-NEE-yah. I just remembered the Lerwick issue so I thought you'd like to know!) And that cardigan - design and color - looks fabulous on you!

    My stria has been a wip for about a month longer than yours and it’s still missing a sleeve and a half! I totally get how challenging it is to finish. But I also believe that we’ll both finish, no matter how long it takes!

    Suggestion for your Collette yarn - I’m not sure how much yardage you have (since you didn’t say), but when you said “a sweet little cardigan”, the first thing that popped into my head was Joji Locatelli’s “Elton” cardigan. Just a suggestion, though! I’m a relatively new subscriber; I saw your first day in Scotland podcast and followed your trip vlogs! Very interesting! Thanks…!

    P.S. I do think that the cardigan would stand out more, be really stunning if you wore it over dark colors, midnight or deep blues, royal or indigo-ish purples, hunter or forest greens. It seems that the periwinkle/lilac color is a little washed out over the lighter colors of the dress (which, by the way, is pretty: I like that print).

    Absolutely beautiful!!! Would you consider doing a yarn haul sometime down the line? I was also curious if flock 2025 was going to be the same dates, my mom was asking because she would like to go with me next year but she has to put in the request before the end of September if she wants the days off.... curious if you knew :)

      Can you clarify what you mean by yarn haul? I am happy to, just want to know more what you’re meaning! As for Flock, they recently accounted that it will be August 8-10!

    I think leave the body of your Azucena all in the main purple with a normal rib as the neckband. Put the cream trim on bottom of the sleeves, but do the rib in the cream as the neckband. Looks lovely so far.

    Why don’t you work your Stria Cardigan sleeves on two circular needles. Half of the stitches on one circular and the other half on the other circular needle.

    • @rachelisknitting
      @rachelisknitting  Месяц назад

      I’ve never done that before when they’re attached to the body. Is it difficult?

    • @rachelisknitting
      @rachelisknitting  Месяц назад

      I’ve done that before and been done sleeves two at a time, but the sleeves are worked directly from the body so that’s what I’m not sure about. May be difficult to do that when there’s also all the fabric from the body in the way.
