    As a possible explanation of the absence of details in SandesGarn patterns....Some of my favorite knitting vlogs are the Nordic/Scandinavian (?) and I have picked I up on the fact that many of them not only learned to knit very young...but...were taught in school! 😮 As well as by family members. Culturally, the techniques may be more intuitive.
    That being said...by every indication it appears you're managing quite well. 😊

    Great podcast; your knits look so beautiful! One thing I like to do to help with the overwhelm of yarn shopping is making notes in my knitting journal that I bring everywhere about some patterns I'm interested in making. I have a list of 5-10 patterns that I'd like to make and I write down the name of the pattern, the weight of yarn it requires, and how much I would need for my size. That way if I see a yarn that really catches my eye, I can pull out my notebook and quickly see what I could use it for without too much effort. This has been especially helpful for going to yarn festivals.

    I was debating if I should make it, because I wasn’t sure about 3 colors colorwork and the bubbles - exactly what you mentioned it was not fun to knit, but I’m going to try to power through, as you did, because it’s gorgeous and I think it will be worth it. • @thosetwinswhoknit
      @thosetwinswhoknit 8 месяцев назад

      Ohh its so hard sometimes! I think sometimes for us its about if we're willing to wait for yarn or get it in person at a local store. If we're in a rush, thats the biggest factor, but if not we do often use recommended yarns for the pattern or yarns that have a color we really like. And now I think we have favorites too, like its hard to beat Knitting for Olive's Soft Silk Mohair (without it getting pretty pricey at least). 😊
