- Beaches in California are starting to open back up after the pandemic. Having grown up in LA, I’ve been to my fair share of beautiful SoCal beaches. My two favorite are Manhattan Beach and Balboa Beach. This was also my first travel vlog post-quarantine. This video briefly discusses the current situation at the airports in the U.S. as of early June 2020 and how travel norms have been impacted by the pandemic.

Great video! Looks like its an older video ... Manhattan Beach is my favorite beach, every time we head to SoCal we stay in MB, close to mostly everything without being too close, if you know what I mean. Havent been to Cal since the Covid, now that its 2024, Id like to go back down - been dying for a In n Out Burger! Im in Seattle and I cant wait to go back down ... thanx for a refreshing look at MB again - love your vlogs, Id love to do vlogs like you but Im not as pretty as you!!! See you soon!!!

Looks like you have yourself a new sub :) Glad to see lockdowns are easing though let's hope resurgences are kept to a minimum (sadly in some places it doesn't appear to be the case. Where I live it's been a very slow reopening..other parts/counties of the state are ahead of us). Looks like you have quite a bit of travel stuff I must check out! I love watching travelers! Sad that most have been forced to lay low for awhile. I'm happy you got out. Also happy I found you :)

Welcome back to the travel life, Steph! Its gives us all hope that we will soon be able to hit the road again! The next time you visit Southern California , may I suggest the following GREAT beaches to check out: 1. Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point/Laguna Niguel. 2. Coronado Beach on Coronado Island and 3. La Jolla Cove in San Diego. All are wonderful. (Main Beach in Laguna is also pretty cool. Of course, I grew up in Laguna Beach, so I'm biased!!)
You should do San Diego! I live in Encinitas and Sunset Cliffs would be a gorgeous spot for you. There's even a beautiful beach in a cove.

Oh you have an accident with your ankle ? Wow , the sun on the beach is so strong I can feel the heat under my feet 😏.
My ankle is fine. I just didn’t want to make it worse by going on a 3 hour hike 😬

I used to live in the OC, from Aug '99 - June 2013, & I've never done that hike either.
Hey Steph! Another awesome video! If you hit up San Diego, be sure to check out seal Beach in La Jolla. Its very small but the "locals" are cute and friendly. Also, there's a really cool sea cave right around the corner.

The best beaches in California are centrally located. local private and unpopulated. Due to social media and everyone plastering location I can't bring myself to do it.... ill just say its close to Big Sur.

The intention was just a quick video covering basics. My goal wasn’t to set out to film an entire documentary on what Covid has done to California... this was a family trip.
