I am back home after 3 weeks in Thailand. I can only confirm that Koh Chang is my absolute favorite island in Thailand. I will definitely go there again!

I've been there several winter times. Kai bae is the best place to stay. Don't miss to take the 3 island boat trip. Very nice coral reefs. I miss Koh Chang a lot!

45 minutes or so on a motorbike to check out the East coast. Very few beaches, mostly rocks, but very picturesque in places. Small number of resorts and its where most of the Thai islanders live.
Hi Steph. I really enjoyed your turn around Koh Chang. I lived in the Seventies for a couple of Years in Prathet Thai. But Koh Chang was at this time a natural resort, without any touristic. And therefore unknown. Ive been a couple of times on Koh Samet, a Hippieisland. I liked it very much. Next time chek out Chivapuri Beach Resort. It is 3-4 km ofa jungle vehicle two tire trail off the perimeter road. Private beach on the south side of Koh Chang. Free breakfast, room service with extensive western and Thai choices, steak, seafood, cake ice cream. Infinity pool on the beach. peaceful, quiet, not crowded.
Flew to Trat and then stayed in Chanthaburi? That's 2x 60km bus/taxi journeys. A minibus from BKK airport is 600baht for those that don't mind a 6 hour journey.

I am going to Thailand next month and I will be going to that island right there. I bought a one way ticket to Chiangmai. Just going to wander for four months. What are the prices for the bungalows? Hi, I've been to koh Chang numerous times. A cheap bungalow with a fan would cost 2-300 baht in the cheaper areas like lonely beach but at your age I wouldn't recommend that unless you are deaf lol. A bungalow in some of the other areas( Kai Bai, Chai Chet, Klong Prao) with air conditioning would be closer to 800-1000 baht per night. Fan would be 4-500. Jan/Feb is considered high season but you can find good deals in March leading up to Songkran in April when the prices start to rise. Hope that helps.

It creeps them out for some reason. This does help. I love the beach, and want to stay on the water. This seems affordable. 💚
Going to ko chang can start from bkk or Cambodia. Minivan/bus ride from bkk to Trat is approximately 6 hrs. Coming from Cambodia you can cross the border to Had Lek, approximately 3 hrs car ride to Trat (Ko Chang's mainland). By plane is also possible however only to start from Bkk

Chitchai Direkwattanachai I think it greatly depends on why you’re going to the beach. If it’s for surfing, Hawaii would be better.But Thailand offers so much beauty at a much more affordable price than Hawai’i. I personally experienced amazing clear waters at both places. Difficult to compare the two. I did enjoy the ocean water temperature in Thailand much more than Hawai’i as it was a bit warmer. But every beach is different in one way or another.
Chitchai Direkwattanachai I live in Hawaii too. The beaches are clean. Waikiki beach is beautiful but there are many thieves who are waiting for you to go swimming so can take your stuff. Women are are stealing too! Be careful
You do a great job but I wish you and many others don't talk about this Island, it's one of the few where mass tourism didn't reached the Island like many others in Thailand.
Your video is more than 10 mins Long. You should and can put 2 advertisement clips. It will increase your income dramatically. You deserve the reward. One advert at the beginning and one at the middle
