Ok...I’m an idiot. I literally was screaming at my nail stamp plate because I couldn’t get it to work...and the blue sticker was still on the whole time 😆
OMG I just made a discovery, warm up your plates! Metal stays pretty cold, and when you clean with acetone it makes it even colder...the cold shocks the polish dry so run under hot water a while and dry off. A big thing too, make sure there's no air movement, fan, open window, air vent. That thin layer dries so fast lol
Thank You! I finally decided to break down and watch some videos since what I’m doing is not working. Your tip along w/ this video I should be able to get something to work now😊
Honestly, I use silly putty instead of a stamper and the little card that comes with otter box glass screen protectors (to push bubbles out) Silly putty picks up so well and is a buck at dollar stores. And I like to use polishes that are getting old and tacky lol.
hi. thank you for this video, but i have a problem that was not mentioned in your video. I just bought a few stamping plates from 2 different 100 yen shops here in Japan as well as a clear squishy stamper and a plastic scraper. I've tried MANY different polishes and for some reason every time i try to pick up the polish with my stamper, it never picks of the polish. I'm not sure why, and i would really like to get use out of these items. Thank you! edit: im so dumb, i forgot to take off the sticker! I hadnt realized because the sticker was clear
Emily Nora most of the time it’s the polish for some reason some work better then others but you can try roughing up the stamper a little NOT a crazy amount just lightly I think it was a recommendation that came with mine, I know I seen it somewhere. Just get your file like the block ones and the lightest sanding one the one you use before buffing use that and just hit it a couple of time with that and make sure it’s clean no oils nothing just lightly clean it with alcohol 💕
There are tons of videos that have been put out since this posted. This is the one I shared with my daughter. I feel you have done a great job explaining what was available at the time. Well done pointing out what to look out for. Thank you for showing how it is done.
Yes, I definitely just found out if the plates are warm it works beautifully! I wrapped a heating pad in an old towel, and every time I stamped it came out perfect every time, I have been so frustrated, now just need to find a better way to keep the plates warm, would like to know how nail techs do this in a salon?!
@@spankymonsterr ,yes it would help just don't keep under there while doing your nails,it does make the nail polish dry too quickly, before you have a chance to stamp!!
I've been looking for a good video for beginner stamping and I have to say, yours is by far the best one out there. I watched quite a few and was still left with unanswered questions. Your video answered all my questions and more, excellent!!! Thank you!
OML YOU A LIFE SAVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't know that you took the blue thing off and I was about to throw my stamping plate at my wall! This video was so much help!
good scrapers are also a must, i was using a hard plastic scraper and if ur a first timer u can be sat there scraping for ages, u need something with a lil flex. this vid was great i was tryna stamp for ages and never thought to roll i was just bopping the plate for ages, finally got the stamp to work
Thanks for making this. It was helpful. I actually bought the first stamper set showed. It was sold at Five Below for $4. The name brand was not on it, but it is the same exact kit. You are definitely right about the metal scraper being no good. I tried using an old gift card as you mentioned. It worked much better. Thanks again.

So after watching your video I decided to try stamping again and I had much better luck after watching your video! I found a part of my problem was the scraper I had they were terrible too thick and wouldn't scrape the template well at all. Thank you so much.

Ok, I'm here for the nails, but has anyone ever tried henna paste in these stamping pads and applied it to skin? The idea just crossed my mind looking at some of the nail designs.....
Oh my God that’s genius! So I was just trying to do my nails with a brush and could not get the design I wanted at all. How much stamping polish should I be using to get my picture to transfer to my stamper , How do you know which is the way your stamping plate picture goes
Omg, jessica you answered one of my questions, was wondering if the plate being cold an my ceiling fan running was affecting my stamping, thanks so much for sharing that!!
Just want you to know that you already helped me by making this video, so a huge big THANK YOU! I learned about my mistakes. I learned the correct way watching your video!

One thing is to wipe it off right after! Every time I tried remover or even straight acetone my plate got cloudy. I found just rubbing with it doesn't work, you then have to rub with whatever you use for cleaning with nothing on it. Plates look like new afterward.
Is it possible to stamp with gel polish? I have switched all of my polishes to uv curing gel polish but if i try to stamp with them the image will not pick up
unfortunately it doesn't work very well with gel polish and it's very hard to stamp. I'd recommend using stamping polish or even regular nail polish :)
Ok so I know I just found your channel, and it's 5y later, but I need help. Just got my nail stamps and stamper, but i took off the safety sticker to reveal the metal stamping shapes and now it's not working how I should use it, what did I do wrong?
thank you for sharing this video! Your timing couldn't be better! I have ordered my very first stamping plates and I am so excited to get them but was really worried that I had no stamping polishes!! again. thank you so much for this video! it has been so sooooo helpful for me. xx
I am new to nail stamping and wanted to try it out but didn’t want to spend a whole lot of money on a kit. I found that first kit (with the crappy scraper) at Five Below for only $4. Sure it’s not the best but it makes for good practice. Next time I’ll use an old gift card for a scraper, and my design didn’t come out as crisp as when she did it, but as I said it’s a good starter kit for only $4.
I made such a mess!! First I didnt take the blue film off so stressed out for a while. Then once I took it out it still didnt pick up the image so while yellin at my stamper my polish went all over my table. 2 hrs later and one image finally came out good.
When I scrape the polish off the plate it leaves trails around the image so when I stamp the image on to my nail there’s always trail marks behind the image. You get it so crisp and clean, maybe it’s my scraper I’ll have to change my scraper and practice more 😔 xxxx
I just bought a clear stamper but but i dont know why is not working i dont know if the nail polish is drying to fast or the stamper is not good! do you have any ideas!
Well I was reminded what to do with stamping polish and that is not to use as a nail base coat 🤦♀️but how long should you wait for your nail polish to dry before stamping?
never tried a Twinkled T stamping plate, but I have found their stamping polishes are REALLY nice. i've been using them with Pueen stamping plates with great results
How does one clean the stamper? I have one from Walmart, Pueen brand, and I tried to clean unstamped polish off with a cotton ball and polish remover, but it got all fuzzy and now I can’t clean it.
oh noo you definitely cannot use nail polish remover to clean your stamper. your stamping plates, yes. but your stamper will get ruined. i usually just use some tape to clean it off.
What is the BEST top coat over a freshly done stamped nail. Sometimes when I apply a top coat, if I don't have enough on the brush, it smears the stamp😕 Please help me out
I've noticed that when I use a water-based top coat (like Little Ondine, for example), I almost never see any smudging. If you don't have any, I would just suggest using a large bead of top coat and make sure that your brush doesn't come into contact with your nails. Just sort of float the top coat on. That usually help me.
No matter what I do my stamp isnt picking up. Ive tried two brands of stamps, regular polish, and two brands of stamping polishes. Ive tried warming up the plate, cleaning with acetone, applying to a matte surface, shiny…..any help? Yes ive removed the film on the plates
Unfortunately I have not, so I'm not really sure how those stampers work. However, I've heard many girls rave about how good Born Pretty stampers are so maybe you just need to use a different technique to pick up the image? Sorry I'm not able to help.
If you're not getting any nail polish on the stamper at all, then it might be that you're waiting too long to pick it up. When you scrape off the extra polish, the polish tends to dry quickly, so maybe try working quickly. If that doesn't work the issue may be with the product(s) you are using. Your nail polish might be too thin, causing it to dry really fast. If you are getting some transfer, then the issue might just be the technique in which you are picking up the image. Just practice and eventually you'll be able to do it in no time!! I hope this helped :)
My stamper won't pick up every time. It takes a few tries before I can get the image to stick. I have to start all over because I think the polish is drying or now on right. Feels so wasteful.
I have a cheap one I bought in aliexpress for $2 but had great reviews. well I’ve watched 3 videos on how to stamp because the stamp doesn’t stick to the stamper. I don’t know why
Assuming that your stamper and stamping plate is working properly, I would just have to recommend trying a different technique. Whenever I buy a new stamper, it usually takes a little bit of trial and error to figure out what works best. I hope this helps!
I have the screens and stamper but I am having trouble with the stamper picking up images. Are there special stamping polish to use with the stamper? Please help. Getting frustrated. Thanks for your help
There are some polishes that a specifically made for stamping, however, I don't find that it's 100% necessary. As mentioned in the video, most of the polishes I've used (regular or stamping polishes) have worked fine. I would suggest to try changing your method of picking up the image. Sometimes you can be pressing too hard or too lightly and the image won't transfer properly. I hope this helps!! I know it can be frustrating but practice makes perfect :)
I have the express salón kit...don't really like it, only used it a few times...horrible experience with it...I always thought it was me who was doing everything wrong, but that's not the case, it's just the stamper and scraper😂😊👍🏼 thanks for the video 👍🏼
I tried to follow your links to find the kit (the one with the zipper case and all the goodies) you showed in your video and BMC doesn't show it on their website. In fact most of the kits there didn't have all the tools. Got different links, please? Also, if I wanted to use these on jewelry pendants instead of nails, do you think they'd work?
bundle monster changed their name to Maniology, so i definitely need to update the links. but yes, i definitely do think they can work with jewelry as long as you make sure to add a top coat over top of it and then a final seal :)
Ok...I’m an idiot. I literally was screaming at my nail stamp plate because I couldn’t get it to work...and the blue sticker was still on the whole time 😆

Thank You! I finally decided to break down and watch some videos since what I’m doing is not working. Your tip along w/ this video I should be able to get something to work now😊
Good tip. I'll try that this weekend. Question? Can I use any nail polish or does it have to be stamping nail polish?? 🤔
Why did it never occur to me to practice on paper first. Brilliant! Thanks to you my first attempt gave me the confidence to continue, thank you!
Honestly, I use silly putty instead of a stamper and the little card that comes with otter box glass screen protectors (to push bubbles out) Silly putty picks up so well and is a buck at dollar stores. And I like to use polishes that are getting old and tacky lol.
Oh, and "season" your plates with cuticle oil, clean it off then it helps release polish from plate
interesting, I'll have to try that out sometime lol
Awesome tip, thank you 😊
Genius!
Thanks cause the stamper that she called the regular stamper can't be found❤️❤️

@@AveryCreates no,not really, being under a lamp helps a little, but then you have to hurry and stamp your nails cause the polish dries quick!!

@@spankymonsterr ,yes it would help just don't keep under there while doing your nails,it does make the nail polish dry too quickly, before you have a chance to stamp!!
There are microwaveable heat pads for pet use that do not get too hot, but hold heat for hours. Could put one under or close to your work area maybe.

I looked up a stamping video because I really am having trouble with getting my picture to pick up onto the stamper
Do you need to clean the jail stamp each time after you stamp on your nails do you ever have to clean the gel stamp
Thanks for all the tips! Can I stamp over gel polish? Of course after I add the top clear coat
I don't normally use gel polish, but yes, I believe you can
Thank you for this video. It gave me a lot of great info on stamping. Im sorry other people were jerks. I think you did a great job.
do you regular nail polishes on stamper or stamping nail polish?
I am new to nail stamping and wanted to try it out but didn’t want to spend a whole lot of money on a kit. I found that first kit (with the crappy scraper) at Five Below for only $4. Sure it’s not the best but it makes for good practice. Next time I’ll use an old gift card for a scraper, and my design didn’t come out as crisp as when she did it, but as I said it’s a good starter kit for only $4.
Can a semipermanente nail polish be used in stamping?
Can you use any nail polish to stamp with
Do you have a video showing how to use the pueen stamping kit?
How do you clean the the small round jelly one

I use a lint roller

I've noticed that when I use a water-based top coat (like Little Ondine, for example), I almost never see any smudging. If you don't have any, I would just suggest using a large bead of top coat and make sure that your brush doesn't come into contact with your nails. Just sort of float the top coat on. That usually help me.
How do I clean the stamper and the stamping plate?
No matter what I do my stamp isnt picking up. Ive tried two brands of stamps, regular polish, and two brands of stamping polishes. Ive tried warming up the plate, cleaning with acetone, applying to a matte surface, shiny…..any help? Yes ive removed the film on the plates
So you use regular nail polish or gel
This video was very helpful! Thank you so much for covering everything for us!
Hello, have you ever used the Born Pretty stamper? Because I cannot find a way to make it grab onto the plates...
Unfortunately I have not, so I'm not really sure how those stampers work. However, I've heard many girls rave about how good Born Pretty stampers are so maybe you just need to use a different technique to pick up the image? Sorry I'm not able to help.
Hi. I bought a jelly stamper yesterday. But may stamper didnt get the nailpolish on the plates? The nail polish doesnt stick on the jelly?
If you're not getting any nail polish on the stamper at all, then it might be that you're waiting too long to pick it up. When you scrape off the extra polish, the polish tends to dry quickly, so maybe try working quickly. If that doesn't work the issue may be with the product(s) you are using. Your nail polish might be too thin, causing it to dry really fast. If you are getting some transfer, then the issue might just be the technique in which you are picking up the image. Just practice and eventually you'll be able to do it in no time!! I hope this helped :)
Do you suggest BeautyBigBang stamping plates? Ir can you pls test it and reply if it is a good plate quality?
Yes! I have a ton of videos on my channel using them :)
Do u hve to use specific nail polish or can u use any type
Can we use any regular use nail polishes???
yes! you can check out the video in the bio, i explain it there :)
Need more on scraping! How to hold scraper etc. I either scrape off to much, no transfer! Or not enough scraped off and stamp is a mess!
I have a question... Can you use soak off gel polish for stamping?
no :/ only regular nail polish. but you can also use regular nail polish OVER a gel polish surface.
My stamper won't pick up every time. It takes a few tries before I can get the image to stick. I have to start all over because I think the polish is drying or now on right. Feels so wasteful.
For some reason my gel stamper won't pick up the polish at all
I have a cheap one I bought in aliexpress for $2 but had great reviews. well I’ve watched 3 videos on how to stamp because the stamp doesn’t stick to the stamper. I don’t know why
Assuming that your stamper and stamping plate is working properly, I would just have to recommend trying a different technique. Whenever I buy a new stamper, it usually takes a little bit of trial and error to figure out what works best. I hope this helps!
I can't get my nail stamper to pick up the design what am I doing wrong?
Do normal polishes work on stamping plates?
Hello....do you use regular polish or gel polish?
regular polish!
Can you please demonstrate how to use the big glass stamper
Do i really need to purchase/use nail polish stampers?
How do u clean the plates and stamper?
just with some tape or a lint roller! never use nail polish remover or any kind of acetone :)
Hello there, is this only for regular polish ? Can it be use to gel?
nope! you cannot use gel for stamping unless you use regular nail polish OVER gel polish
My problem is that the silicon stamp ing stamper moves. Is it because the holder of silicon is broken.
