I remember ESPN...MTV....cable TV in general back in my early youth! Seeing Chris Berman is like seeing Family! He brought up a great point...."Just Be yourself"...and my Dad always added to this statement by finishing it with "because everyone else is already spoken for"! Cheers Gang
That Sunday night football show they did was my favorite thing on television at the time. Rarely missed it, I can still hum the background music they played during highlights!
The odd aspect of the conversation is that I only became a Rich Eisen fan after he was on Sportscenter and the NFL Network. His own show is amazing. Chris Berman is spot on.
No kidding. You think it's going to be some great moment, then...blah! "And after that you told me where the Coke machine was. and I'll never forget that moment"
Man I miss the old ESPN I used to have that on my tv 24/7
Berman, Rich, Dan Patrick, Stuart Scott, Linda Cohn, Kenny Mayne, Tom Jackson and Charley Steiner.
Those were good days.
All due respect to Rich, Berman not only set the bar, he actually made it himself before he put it up.
grew up watching Berman as a kid in the 90s, loved his persona, very charismatic, witty, and a true professional.
Chris always struck me as a guy who was real, and himself, not putting on a fake persona. Definitely appreciated it all those years.
Why then does he push the Carshield scam?
Rich Eisen with a full head of hair in the 1990's was crazy to see. How time flies.

Chris Berman is huge. Like 6'5"
Chris "sound fx" Berman... grew up watching him and Tom Jackson

I respect Mr. Berman a lot because he is the only US football journalist the Shows highlights and mention the acheivement of CFL Players.
Back Back Back what a legend!
Berman is the man, a true class act 💯
Be true to yourself, regardless of situation, and you will be successful!
Berman is and forever will be the GOAT. "HE. COULD. GO. ALL. THE. WAY."
Anybody else catch the “back-back” at 3:38? He must do that unconsciously at this point.
Ha!!
Chris is a treasure.
And it would have been nice to hear a LOT more from him and NOTHING from eisen except questions..
"you're with me leather"
I remember that story. I think I read about it in Maxim in the early 2000s
Berman is the absolute best, no one is close.
ESPN's NFL pregame show back in the 90s was the best when it was Berman, Chris Mortensen, Joe Theismann and Tom Jackson was the best.
Thanks guys
I still wonder if that "you're with me Leather" story ever got resolved?
I would like to hear about RIP Tom Mees
Berman had ESPN settle several sexual harassment lawsuits by female staff but hey that's OK when you're a fellow member of the tribe.
ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh da raidasssss!!!
what if the real you is NOT being the real you on the air? whooa!
How long is this story gonna take Rich?
Rich Eisen talks a lot lol
Just shave it already, Chris. Should have done it 30 years ago.

God, what a boring anecdote.
No kidding. You think it's going to be some great moment, then...blah! "And after that you told me where the Coke machine was. and I'll never forget that moment"
What a horrible interview. I did not watch this to find out about Eisen's time at ESPN because I never cared about that. Let Berman TALK you dope.
