JGutter34, All swac bands play direct type of genre, do they’re musically diverse as well. Asu was received well at Famu because they played entertaining songs, along with being musically diverse.
Where Asu is at is what we call the visitors section including band. Has always been that way. The other side is general admission side. And visitors sit over there as well. We don't have home and away side. You pay where you sit.
I think people get loud horn blowing confused with musicality. I'm lost are these battles about loudness or musicality. If you know FAMU then they have always been the same, I think it's just different for the people in the SWAC that's just use to loudness over anything.

FAMU is a band of musicians. Traditional "SWAC" bands are horn holders whove been trained to ignore music theory and just blow the paint off the horns, while playing every wrong note they can find.
Famu’s trumpets were squealing out random note on several songs with no purpose. Asu’s last song could’ve been more polished, but that’s it. Famu had several unpolished moments.
@@thatcat41 they went up a half step, but the only thing that bothered me is that they stole a lot of ASUs fanfares. Like they had a nice solid sound, but almost nothing was completely original if you get what I’m saying.
