I’m a HUGE movie enthusiast especially horror movies, aspiring business owner and actress. I’ve already watched 33 new movie releases this year including the Front Room. I watched this movie to support Brandy, A24 and as a huge horror movie lover. This movie had interesting themes and it was great to see Brandy on the big screen again. This mob was ok to me but not good let alone great. This was another good movie review. ❤❤❤❤
Typical you've ever had a neighbor that acted like that when you moved into a building.... You won't believe some of the things that she used to do until I had to check her asz ... Now you can hear a whisper now you don't hear whisper she used to antagonize me used to yell out of the window now you don't hear at all
I really thought we were gonna get a horror movie exploring postpartum depression and racism or something along the lines like that. Instead got something which felt like a black comedy and gross meter lol
The Front Room is 10x better as a horror comedy than The Deliverance. Where you were entertained by The Deliverance, I wasn’t. I wanna throw a watch party for this one! I was cackling. I lost my voice. This was my kinda carryin on. You cannot take this film seriously and that’s where you went wrong imo. It’s hilarious.
I can agree with you. It’s an a24 movie so we know this film beats Lee Daniels movie by a million even if it was not enjoyable to others I’m sure it will be later appreciated from a different audience
@@JloveLamar um! Is she an everyday poor person? Not having roles in years has nothing to do with taking one you've been offered after years of not having any. It's called having principles and standards. Grow up! Stop being a sheep and enlightening others to have that same mentality.
Very disappointed very disappointed it had nothing to me it had nothing it to me it was just a mockery of the Christian faith and why we pray and why we speak in tongues it was a total opposite it was blasphemy in an insult to my traditional family generational relationship with Christ disgusting😢
Watched it last night and just saw a lot of wasted thematic potential just in favor to let Kathryn Hunter create the disgust and unease and then Brandy doesn’t have a proper turning point snap scene that makes sense for the ending for me
I loved this review! I felt the opposite about Deliverance vs Front Row. I found Front Room was like Get Out/Guess Who/(Coming To Dinner). My bias lies mainly in my love for poop jokes. I felt like I could smell "The Front Room"
Watched this last night with no real expectations, I guess I just wanted to get out the house. This is one of the worst films I've seen the year IMO. Brandy was like a cardboard cutout. The husband was horrible, the couple wasn't convincing at ALL. The stepmom was comical, who brings out funny moments at times but most times she came off as pure ridiculous. I couldn't understand what she was saying half the time, maybe it's just me. This is the same ol' boilerplate 'horror', which it HARDLY is. The ending was absolute trash with no real payoff, the movie just.....ended. This should've gone straight to streaming, or Lifetime for that matter. I truly wanted my money back when it ended. Skip this one.
I would have actually have checked this movie out at one point on streaming even with the bad reviews based on A24 and Brandy and knowing not to expect too much... I am a big horror fan who doesn't mind blood and guts disgust.... But, based on what I heard from you and others about the "poop", I do not want to see it... So, basically, the poop is making me not see it...
Glad I only caught a couple of clips then. I already thought this could be good but infuriating. But all I could think was, "Damn, this is already pissing me off. This would be my grandmother if she actually had follow through." But I ain't dealing with being visually pelted with multiple scenes of chocolate rain. 😂🤢
So very few movies seem to really stick the ending. It's almost like when I'm watching a good movie, I get nervous towards the end that it's going to go to shit. Even when it's not Shyamalan.

I’ll pass on this one and I’ve seen a TT video talking about how nasty this movie is. The young lady said, you couldn’t even eat her chips. She threw them again and so no longer likes Brandy 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@Movie Files Brandy was giving the best that she got, & her performance was amazing! However I wish she would’ve turned the pillow in on her husband because he was words that I can’t put in the comments… “NOO NOO REEGGGRRRREEEEETTTTTTSSSSSSS!”
I wish they had done something with any of the supernatural premise that they set up. It was just a nasty hit job on elderly ppl and made me think about end of life care as the takeaway. Also very disgusting like over the top.
I loved Brandy on screen and I hope she gets more rolls. But overall this movie was funny at times but very much annoying 🤦🏾♂️ especially when they started repeating the shitty stuff 😒 I kept waiting for something to happen or so!e big reveal but then it just ended.
