Great video! Have a question though, I got the plat yesterday but when I did the rebel camps and killed Asera I forgot to loot her corpse, I was doing it for the trophy and completly forgot about her legendary bow. I went back and her body wasn't there anymore, how can I get the bow now??
Agreed, the races need beta testing, didn't take me long to win on very hard, but everything you said spot on.. tracking was horrible and the horse gets stuck in these random edges and invisible walls, and won't turn back in the direction of the race..
I love that you get Legendary weapons for most of the collectibles. Then when you collect the most abnoxious collectible in the game the damn vista points. You get a recorded message from Elisbet. YAY !!!
Personally, some of these weapons, they may have the best STATS, but there are plenty of Ultra Rare, Purple, variations that have better perks or selections of ammunition. Just saying, you don't need ALL the weapons on your wheel to be Orange, Purples a nice color too.
Yup, because All legendary weapon ammunition requires the same material (called volatile), which can only be accommodated in a bag with a maximum of 7 pieces.

The vid is kinda missleading tbh, you cant get most of these ASAP. on a side note, out of the best one the vid puts out, the sun scourge is the easiest or atleast obtainable without even reaching half of the game. but pretty scary roaming around the map with subpar bow on your hands though.

VANGUARD HUNTER BOW. (Highest impact damage when overdrawn) Trust me for the people who want to take their time and shoot in close combat. To a maxed vanguard bow, ADD 2 overdraw very rare coils ADD 1 very rare impact damage coil Total overdraw damage becomes = 80%
i thought the races were way too easy 😳 maybe bc we’re playing different difficulties (im only doing hard) but i heard u mention two shots to knock someone off their mount… i never realized that. but i did realize the harder i came at the other jockeys the harder they came at me! since u give us so many good tips maybe i can give one back 💛
I love the wide variety of weapons in this game but I think the way they distributed the ammo across them was silly and makes the weapon management incredibly bloated. Idk why there needs to be like twenty of the same weapon, one with fire and shock, one with acid and adhesive, one with fire and ice, one with adhesive and plasma, etc. It makes me not want to buy any of the weapons for fear that a slightly better one is right around the corner at the next merchant I talk to, and it makes me regret buying almost every weapon I currently have.

I completely agree! This is also my biggest beef with FW. The ammo for the weapon system is way out of wack. I loved that in HZD I didn't need 9 different bows to do what 3 can if the ammo is setup correctly on them.
100%! The weapon/ammo system definitely needs an overhaul. Too many options causes the player to be overwhelmed, and not use some of the great tools available like the ropecaster. The other negative is you never really feel big improvement when you get the next higher rarity in weapon type. They do slightly more damage, but not enough where you feel like you're making big progress.
@@raz318 Yeah I finished the game without really using tripcasters, traps, ropecasters, etc. I found it more efficient to battle enemies head on and use the weapons with high damage on the weak points. That and using elemental arrows on canisters. HZD was better in this aspect imo.
I literally feel the same way about the mounts!! The movement/flow is so bad that I don’t use mounts at all. I just sprint everywhere and then depend on fast travel.
This game perfected the art of open-world over!! Its like a combination of the best of AssassinCreed, TombRaider, RDR2, and many other open-world game). 👏 👏 11/10 for sure.
It really is. I thought it was pretty awesome to find "god of war" artifacts in the game. So far I found the kid with the bow and Kratos. I havent found the last one though.

Forgefall sharpshot bow with all 5 elite crit coil, paired with Quen Dead Eye outfit kills tremer tusk with 2 to 3 shot, and deals even more damage if you freeze them first with Sun Scourge bow with all 5 elite freeze coil.
The Gauntlet Runs races in itself (i.e., the riding) was pretty simple. Just don't view them as racing, because simply moving the direction buttons isn't enough to turn. You'll have to face that direction for it to take effect. Regular machine riding is the same in the game, so it became instinctive for me during the race. Maybe it seemed weird for those who didn't do much machine riding outside these races in the rest of the game, or even in HZD. But I felt its the same mechanic as it has been in both the games. And since I play with keyboard and mouse, it was pretty simple. Arrow keys to turn and move the mouse at the same time. Shooting with mouse buttons which is quite usual. Its possible that with gamepads, there were too many buttons to press simultaneously, which becomes easier with keyboard and mouse
nononono don't spam arrows in the race! Focus on getting the blaze boosts and keep your trajectory inconsistent to avoid enemy arrows and one finger on the mark for hitting R2 to recover, these races are like the easiest thing in the game.
Ass Soon Ass Posible is not really that soon. You need to recover Demeter and Poseidon for most of them, and for some of them you need to finish Gemini, which is close to the end of the story. Not to mention that if you try and tackle the camp posts underleveled you'll likely get obliterated.
I completely maxed out zero dawn, it's impossible for me to die and i thought starting on the 2nd hardest difficulty on forbidden west would be slightly challenging... long story short i forgot being new to horizen was a thing...

My weapons of choice were The Glowblast Sharpshot, the Icestorm Boltcaster (the most overpowered weapon in the game I have thus far encountered), the sunshot bow, and the Vindicator Spike Thrower (with splitting perk and maxed out level). It's hard to beat glowblast damage, quick draw, and explosive damage that splits into three in mid-air and will explode on contact if it hits the ground. I call eplosive splitting spike thrower "Jericho Missiles".
In truth I destroyed almost every boss with just glowblast braced sharpshot arrows and penetrating glowblast ultrashot bolts. They slide through armor like a molten knife through warm butter. Glowblast is very useful for interrupting attack animations on bosses.
Am I the only one not having as much fun in the sequel. I like it but a lot of stuff is not as polished as the reviews said imo. I am only like 15 hours in but there are a lot of issues. It just seems like a lot stuff is not explained very well.... not story wise
I feel like you need to just continue to explore and relax into the game. It’s super fun when you just dive into the side quests and the strike games etc

So your finally out of The Dent 😂😂😂 I wonder what all these issues are your having, so far I've clocked up 72 hours just exploring and upgrading my stuff, seen a couple of issues like sometimes the model doesn't fully load or sometimes certian game sounds disappear. Apart from that it pretty much is a polished game, maybe do yourself and favour and upgrade to ps5 as PS4 will suffer
I started enjoying it at the midway point after I started getting the legendary weapons and Aloy was leveling up. I’m still get my ass kicked by the aggressive machines. I slowed my roll, started enjoying the story & world. I don’t think we’ll appreciate this game until new game +. Aloy will leveled up with all the great legendary weapons, u can just go hunt machines.
@@whocaresreallywho2464 I’m a PS5 owner, I’ve had lots of clipping and crashes and glitches where machines bodies just disappear or teleport, Aloy doesn’t climb in the direction you want her too, the mount just coming to a halt when sprinting for no reason. A lot of this stuff has been slowly patched, but it was far from polished at launch, compared to the first game.
They made this game way to big for no reason and I’m like halfway thru and it feels like a slog to play the game. It’s literally the same story from the first one just blown up. I’m only finishing it because I payed for it when I got my ps5’last summer but no it’s not a good game by any means

I just got the game and played through the first objective. It felt like the game wasn't going to be much but watching vids in YT made me realize that's wrong.
Just run through story mode and start a new game plus then you can get the legendary weapons for champion points and that's easy cos you get 2 for each starting level side quest. Only cost 10 points each
I haven't done any missions apart from the necessary side quests in the first run through to gain just enough weaponry to get me through the bare minimum for the story mode. No races no cauldrons apart from one. So i now basically have started the game with easy to get legendary weapons . So hopefully all those hunting grounds I look forward to playing for the first time.
I have unlocked 2 legendary bows from the arena. Got the Sun Scourge Bow from all 5 camps. One bolt blaster gun from the arena. Trying to get the Ancestor’s Return and the legendary Spike thrower but thats towards the end of the game
Just finished arena. IDK if it's a bug or what but on arena In challenges with more than one opponent you can loot destroyed machine. Plus you don't need to detach parts from them to take the loot i think.
With the races, using the arrows is not a good strategy. It's the blaze boost cannisters hanging from the ropes that help the most. Sure, have one bundle of arrows, just in case. But if you grab and use the blaze, you will suddenly blast past most of the field. I couldn't beat the last race until I did this almost exclusively. Using the arrows just slows you down.
I don't think you can do the relic runes right away. The second one needs you to be able to do something with red rocks. I'm not very far into the game yet, so I could be wrong. But when I got to the second one Aloy kept saying to come back later
So can you get all those weapons right of the bat when you start the game or just some? If i would pretty much ignore all mq and go straight for those missions to get those weapons would i be able to do that? Or are the missions locked behind some mq and to unlock them i need to first complete a few mq? :p :)
I think the thing that is more annoying than getting all these legendary weapons is to find the parts to upgrade it. I finally got the death seaker bow but i cant even upgrade it cus I am a little too early in the game and one of the machine that I need parts for wont spawn for me .
My dumb head, I never thought of using the spear thrower against big machine since because I still stick to my same old tactic of taking down big machines from zero dawn.
Man, the races were fun as fuck for me, between the chaos and the crazy weapons. The only issue is when you turn behind to shoot and your mount hits a wall.
People called me crazy when I complained about the mounts in this game glad I'm not the only one who felt like they didn't put much effort into it compared to the rest of the game.
Dude the mounts sucks ass in FW. They never follow the trail correctly, they get stuck on every little thing and stop for no reason and I'm complaining before having to even had to try one of the races yet. lol.

thats crazy, maybe cuz im playing in normal difficulty, but ive done 3 of the races so far and got 1st place first try in each, maybe just had lucky runs too, i do think normal is way too easy, i turned it up to hard recently, maybe might go even further just to get some kind of challenge
i am currently level 17 but im struggling in progressing the story mission and my weapons are gree. do I have to buy blues and purples or should I just grind it till I can get the legendaries
Same felt better after I reached the arena and started acquiring legendary weapons. Started leveling up the legendary outfits also. I just slowed down and starting enjoying the story. There’s no point in rushing because after u acquire the legendary weapons and outfits, more to grind. I would suggest turning on easy loot or put it in story mode.
I play the game without warrior bows, gauntlets and tripcasters. I rarely use a boltblaster and it's working out fine. So just to say, you can go a long way with only the Sun scourge, Death seeker and Skykiller. What are the benefits of playing with a warrior bow if i can one shot a machine with the Sun Scourge?
I waited until the end to do all the races and the last was the only one I had to retry, thank gods I got them 1st try because I did not like them. I agree the mechanics are bunk.
How do you get to the island for the spike thrower? I tried to swim it was scary af underwater lol but it won't let me swim that far. Do i have to do more of the story or what im at the mission to get demeters coordinates.

A piece of advice for the races. Set the mount to auto sprint in the accessibility options. It helps a lot.

The races weren't that bad at all. The last race in Vegas was abit tougher but again they weren't that bad. Boosts are your best friend

@@SkYee007 You can upgrade the pouch, but yeah, you can only carry a little. I use mosty purple exept for blast forge, skykiller and forge fall
Note: you have to upgrade your Melee weapon to open the metal flowers. Do this by competing a main mission. Great vid, Dude

Honourable mention, the Delta Longbow you can get from the Quen camp, not a legendary but does great damage from stealth plus it looks cool.

With mount auto-run the races were pretty easy and fun. Reminded me of Lego Racers.
Spike throwers are amazing especially the drilling tipped rare one that does continuous damage to parts until they pop!!!

Tinker's Pride is easy to get, the hunting trials are not difficult (so long as you've got Clawstriders unlocked for overriding).
I got so ahead on the third one that I've never seen an arrow or mount fly at me the whole race.
I find myself going back to using the exploding spikes as my go to for killing the large machines.. when I get tired futzing around with them.. 😂

I don’t know how this game is underrated. HFW is literally a technical marvel and narrative wise its the greatest sequel I’ve ever played!

A tip for the race (that I've learn only after finish then) is to enable the "always run" for mounts in the control options
DUDE THANK YOU!!!! I finally beat the last one because of this advice.
Am I the only one not having as much fun in the sequel. I like it but a lot of stuff is not as polished as the reviews said imo. I am only like 15 hours in but there are a lot of issues. It just seems like a lot stuff is not explained very well.... not story wise
I feel like you need to just continue to explore and relax into the game. It’s super fun when you just dive into the side quests and the strike games etc

I wonder what all these issues are your having, so far I've clocked up 72 hours just exploring and upgrading my stuff, seen a couple of issues like sometimes the model doesn't fully load or sometimes certian game sounds disappear.
Apart from that it pretty much is a polished game, maybe do yourself and favour and upgrade to ps5 as PS4 will suffer
I started enjoying it at the midway point after I started getting the legendary weapons and Aloy was leveling up. I’m still get my ass kicked by the aggressive machines. I slowed my roll, started enjoying the story & world. I don’t think we’ll appreciate this game until new game +. Aloy will leveled up with all the great legendary weapons, u can just go hunt machines.
@@whocaresreallywho2464 I’m a PS5 owner, I’ve had lots of clipping and crashes and glitches where machines bodies just disappear or teleport, Aloy doesn’t climb in the direction you want her too, the mount just coming to a halt when sprinting for no reason. A lot of this stuff has been slowly patched, but it was far from polished at launch, compared to the first game.
They made this game way to big for no reason and I’m like halfway thru and it feels like a slog to play the game. It’s literally the same story from the first one just blown up. I’m only finishing it because I payed for it when I got my ps5’last summer but no it’s not a good game by any means
I couldn't agree more. Both riding and jumping mechanics are totally archaic

Hey! Initially I used Death-Seeker as damage, but Forgefall is soooo much better for dps. And I love Sunscourge too lol
My favorite is the death seeker shadow bow and took me a few grind at arena to obtain since I was playing on normal..

So glad that the races were fixed and with the new game plus you can actually get another legendary Bow that's the same type of bow as the carjas bane
So, basically, to get the Legendary weapons, you have to do the optional stuff...got it!

I just ran through all the rebel camps and got the Sun scourge, along with a rare shredder gauntlet, and tore up the arena in like 10 minutes.
Recently got the complete edition and was looking to collect some of the legendary weapons and upgrade them before touching the dlc. This game doesn't get the respect it deserves
This game made me finally fall in love with Aloy and what she wears in the thumbnail of this video is the reason.

I hate climbing and the """parkour""" in this game, mounts feel so bad that I'd rather walk. They improved nothing, it looks like these features are still in pre-alpha from the first game, really sad.

I just got the game and played through the first objective. It felt like the game wasn't going to be much but watching vids in YT made me realize that's wrong.

Just run through story mode and start a new game plus then you can get the legendary weapons for champion points and that's easy cos you get 2 for each starting level side quest. Only cost 10 points each
I haven't done any missions apart from the necessary side quests in the first run through to gain just enough weaponry to get me through the bare minimum for the story mode. No races no cauldrons apart from one. So i now basically have started the game with easy to get legendary weapons . So hopefully all those hunting grounds I look forward to playing for the first time.
I have unlocked 2 legendary bows from the arena. Got the Sun Scourge Bow from all 5 camps. One bolt blaster gun from the arena. Trying to get the Ancestor’s Return and the legendary Spike thrower but thats towards the end of the game

Just finished arena. IDK if it's a bug or what but on arena In challenges with more than one opponent you can loot destroyed machine. Plus you don't need to detach parts from them to take the loot i think.
I wish the 8th arena fight wouldn't hit me with an infinite load screen, so I could actually progress

With the races, using the arrows is not a good strategy. It's the blaze boost cannisters hanging from the ropes that help the most. Sure, have one bundle of arrows, just in case. But if you grab and use the blaze, you will suddenly blast past most of the field. I couldn't beat the last race until I did this almost exclusively. Using the arrows just slows you down.
Trials are the shit! Got most of these. Cool to find a video on one's I didn't though.

I don't think you can do the relic runes right away. The second one needs you to be able to do something with red rocks. I'm not very far into the game yet, so I could be wrong. But when I got to the second one Aloy kept saying to come back later
So can you get all those weapons right of the bat when you start the game or just some? If i would pretty much ignore all mq and go straight for those missions to get those weapons would i be able to do that? Or are the missions locked behind some mq and to unlock them i need to first complete a few mq? :p :)

I think the thing that is more annoying than getting all these legendary weapons is to find the parts to upgrade it. I finally got the death seaker bow but i cant even upgrade it cus I am a little too early in the game and one of the machine that I need parts for wont spawn for me .
If it’s an apex variant of a machine, they spawn at night. I’m not sure if it’s 100%, it might be, but either way it’s much more often

My dumb head, I never thought of using the spear thrower against big machine since because I still stick to my same old tactic of taking down big machines from zero dawn.
Man, the races were fun as fuck for me, between the chaos and the crazy weapons. The only issue is when you turn behind to shoot and your mount hits a wall.

People called me crazy when I complained about the mounts in this game glad I'm not the only one who felt like they didn't put much effort into it compared to the rest of the game.
Dude the mounts sucks ass in FW. They never follow the trail correctly, they get stuck on every little thing and stop for no reason and I'm complaining before having to even had to try one of the races yet. lol.

thats crazy, maybe cuz im playing in normal difficulty, but ive done 3 of the races so far and got 1st place first try in each, maybe just had lucky runs too, i do think normal is way too easy, i turned it up to hard recently, maybe might go even further just to get some kind of challenge
Is it best to do this early or later on when I’m a higher level? Since Idk if the weapons stats scale with the level of my character

i am currently level 17 but im struggling in progressing the story mission and my weapons are gree. do I have to buy blues and purples or should I just grind it till I can get the legendaries
I grinded the arena on story mode and after i got those legendary’s the game was much easier on hard mode
I skipped blues and went for purple. I rode over to the west side of the map and there are some good weapons over there to buy.
Even in hard mode, you don't need to buy weapons as plenty of free upgrades to be found
I bought them from vendors as I went
Same felt better after I reached the arena and started acquiring legendary weapons. Started leveling up the legendary outfits also. I just slowed down and starting enjoying the story. There’s no point in rushing because after u acquire the legendary weapons and outfits, more to grind. I would suggest turning on easy loot or put it in story mode.

I play the game without warrior bows, gauntlets and tripcasters. I rarely use a boltblaster and it's working out fine. So just to say, you can go a long way with only the Sun scourge, Death seeker and Skykiller.
What are the benefits of playing with a warrior bow if i can one shot a machine with the Sun Scourge?
I waited until the end to do all the races and the last was the only one I had to retry, thank gods I got them 1st try because I did not like them. I agree the mechanics are bunk.

How do you get to the island for the spike thrower? I tried to swim it was scary af underwater lol but it won't let me swim that far. Do i have to do more of the story or what im at the mission to get demeters coordinates.
It’s a grind to get these legendary weapons man and they don’t even mention this to you in the game
