I wish Nokia's camera technology could revert to its "Lumia 1520" model era. No phone, Nokia or otherwise, has ever been able to come close.

  • @anthoharv

I've been using this phone for a month now. It's pretty solid. The camera is decent, full HD 120 hz display, stock android 12 ( Same as Pixel). The battery lasts all day and then some. Plus, I received an update that recently optimized the phone and made the software experience even more smooth and fluid. I had the X100, which has more storage, and a better camera. Which is the only take away from the g400. But for a budget phone, it's decent. Solid build quality.

Nokia needs to stick to mid and budget models with bigger emphasis on 5g phones because competition is really strong but doable in this sector. High end is pretty much dominated by apple and samsung.

Hello - Thanks for the reviews. Between the Nokia G400 (2022) vs Moto G 5G (2022 w/256 GB internal), which would you prefer if the camera is not a big deal. The Moto G is now discounted down to $185 and the Nokia is $229.
I just want a reliable smart phone. I am finally giving up my regular flip phnone. I have the AT&T network via Consumer Cellular.
    Thanks
Edited: If there is another choice I have not considered, then please let me know.

I'd rather have the buttons. I've tried two types of gestures, 2-button and 3-button navigation. I prefer 3-button with 2-button second. My last LG has 2-button navigation and it was easier to learn and get used to.

@@preston8872 At that price range it is difficult to find what you are looking for. What you would probably need to buy is an unlocked phone and then get a sim card from your carrier and activate it on their network. Unlocked phones typically have all the main features you want and more. They may be a bit more expensive, but they're worth it in my opinion. And you can just buy them directly from the manufacturer, like the Motorola website. But be sure to check in their specs that it will work on your current carrier. They usually will tell you which ones their phone works on.

Well Nokia actually quit making phones a long time ago. These are made by another company (HMD global), so if HMD global quits the smartphone business I think that means they go out of business, cause I don't think they do anything else. Nokia still exists but they make stuff like mobile networks (5g etc). However I actually believe the HMD Global offices are located across the street from Nokia.
