The Novation MiniNova was forged from the same design team as the UltraNova and this incredibly powerful micro synth comes with 256 awesome sounding presets that you can tweak with five knobs, or totally configure with eight 'animate' buttons. It offers up to 18 note polyphony, across 37 keys with as many as five synth effects on each sound and has MIDI I/O connectivity.
The Novation MiniNova micro synth is a muso-geeks dream, and offers 14 conventional waveforms to choose from (square, sine, sawtooth, pulse, triangle and combinations), 36 wavetables and 20 digital waveforms. Each of the 3 oscillators (per voice) have density/detune for fattening up sounds, virtual sync and 'hardness' -- which acts as an additional low-pass filter and all of this provides endless knob twiddling ....
There are 14 filter types (and you can run 2 simultaneously), 6 envelope generators, 3 LFOs and 20 modulation slots where you can link modules of the synth engine together to shape sound. The MiniNova can also add up to 5 effects to each sound including distortion, reverb, chorus/phase, delay, compressor, EQ and Novation's unique gator effect.
The Novation MiniNova also has an onboard VocalTune effect, which basically means you can talk into the mic and play the actual melody that you want your voice to follow on the keyboard, aside from this there is also a choice of classic vocoder effects. Another stunning, affordable synth from Novation ..!
This is the best demo for any product in the world EVER. It's like a NAMM demo without it being too short or getting distracted by music in the background.

i have the mini nova and i use ableton... i hook the nova thru a usb 2.0 and i can't get the mini to create any audio thru ableton... like it just does the notes, does the automatio but no actual sound comes out thru the channels.. in this demo hes makin it make sound and i dont see any interface hooked up or anything so im really confused how to make this happen.. i go into the preferences and try to synch it up but the no sound is the issue. its bein recognized
