Patches where Drums are great with Razor, have been some of my favorite razor games. That 9-11 minute timing when you can just steamroll lanes with your team feels so good.
Really nice guide. I was one of those people who tought he was a booring hero, but this guide showed quite a lot of fun things about him, thank you BSJ.
i've always liked him and occasionally picked him as an anti-carry even when he was worse...kinda forgot what it was but he received some qol updates "recently" like ulti prioritizing linked target/unit with less hp instead of being completely random so finishing targets in fights used to be somewhat less reliable :)
I wasn't planning on playing razor but you sure made him look fun. Happy to watch any hero guide you make. It helps me learn not only how to play the hero but also how to play with him and against him.
That was basically everything I ever wanted in a Razor guide. If I were to add anything it would be that Euls doesn't break link, much like DP suck so if you get Euls'd or the enemy is you still do the big suck and that just makes this hero even stronger if people don't know that because then they might just end up buying the wrong items.
Level 30 razor player here: something to consider for the point bsj makes abount satanic for sustain. Often times a casual voodoo mask or going full eternal shroud can provide insane sustain and cheaper for optimizing your big timing
Can confirm how fun this was. Low on the mmr scale but had my first razor game and went 17/6/17. It helped that most of their team was linkable. Been looking for a new carry to try. I think I found one to practice.
i often played razor mid, he lose to little matchup, good cs and harrash ability, dominate lane easily, farm quite well, not afk farm, good hero to first pick if none your team picking first. learned a lot from this video, especially the ulti target prioritize link target, very educative!!!
oh boy. now Razor's pick rate is going to spike like you used to do with spirit breaker who is in almost half my games now. gotta prepare those counters
First wave as razor offlane, aggro to your ranged, link the guy. Guy walks up, deny and get your ranged creep. Guy runs away, chase and get your ranged creep. Then you pretty much win the first wave because you have more than your opponent to last hit with.
I disagree on your lvl 1 suggestion for not taking static link if they can break it. Even if you link them for half a second, you will still steal at least 7-8 dmg, which is enough to deny creeps and get CS. You don't want to lvl up static link anymore though, and max his q and get his passive at lvl 4, leaving link at lvl 1 if it's a bad link matchup, but still having link and stealing 14 dmg is good enough to lvl it for lvl 1, no matter what.
The shard helps for farming and gives some survivability by slowing aggressors down, but doesn't synergize with the refresher, so that's why it's trash.
Great guide as always BSJ. Can I suggest if you can name 2-3 pro players to watch if we like a specific hero? Like who would we watch if we wanna learn more Razor.
I've asked on another video but the intro song, is that $uicideboy$ ? All That Glitters Is Not Gold, But It's Still Damn Beautiful ? Please man, is killing me lmao
Razor was the first hero I played, way back dota 1 in 2005 I think. Who remembers razor having frenzy as his first skill and chain lightning as his second skill. Lightning revenant everyone. The person in the internet cafe who was teaching me back then said, “that guy trying to manfight you? Pop your frenzy and fight back!” And I did actually killed the enemy. Good times.
My razor build isn’t meta but it is much stronger. Always go boots of travel, it gives him more run speed than it gives any other hero and allows you to farm yet be a moment away from fights. Also, with bots, sny and windlace razor moves at haste(550) speed. Then get shard and heart, and if it goes real late build AC. Fuck refresher. Raid boss with max move speed and 120 hp regen per second is the build. Never skip his static link skills with this build either.
I've been doing really well with razor this patch and it's nice to see someone with the same opinions. I do think falcon blade is a bait when u play mid tho *Edit, with bottle rain drops and potentially a wand, you should be gud
Exactly. If you really wanted the extra regen you can just buy the mana regen ring from Refresher, saving you time later instead of an item with negligible stats.
Tomorrow the number of razor picks will double. I like static link in ability draft a lot. You pick static link and win mid pretty much against anything.
Pos 1 razor seems like a waste of a pick. I'm pretty confident he should only ever be a 2 or 3. Don't get me wrong I'm sure Razor 1 works sometimes but feels underwhelming in comparison to having a real carry
I am sad my razor is exposed. If anyone in my server who plays like me will worry the shit out of me. Its a really great hero if played and itemized well. My razor pick condition is if opponent has annoying disabler support who needs to get picked early. No mobility carry in opponent and right click hero in opponent, its perfect razor game.
nice production quality. Thank you for taking the effort like this. I look forward to other hero overviews like this.
Your best guide so far. Great production, condensed information into the most important points, good replay that isn't a stomp! Thanks!!!
Have found this hero fun but could never figure out the best way to play him. This guide helps with the understanding so much!

i hecking love bsj, i hecking love razor. good to see bsj giving some love to him
Holy shit! I dont think there has ever been a more comprehensive razor guide than this; very glad this exists.
I miss when storm surge did stuff in addition to giving move speed.
I love razor and I think that you just gave me the guide to crush with this hero. Thanks BSJ
This is quite good. Didn't know as well that static link only hits eye of the storm targets. Fun guide.
The best guide that you have ever done BSJ
Awesome vid! Razors one of my favorite og heroes
Pleaseee BSJ keep making these!
I wasn't planning on playing razor but you sure made him look fun.
Happy to watch any hero guide you make. It helps me learn not only how to play the hero but also how to play with him and against him.
You motivate me to play the game! It's pehle like you who actually need to be valued by valve big time! Kudos to you sir!
Thx for the video, I'm still learning to playing mid and doesnt have many hero pool, this guide help me a lot
crazy good guide, ty dude
Nice video bsj imma download it asap

Thanks for this video! Really nice and usefull guide. I wish more guides like this one:-)

nice video! Thank you!
Nice guide as always!
Great Video!
Amazing guide. I really like the explanations about how to itemize against different matchups.
Can confirm how fun this was. Low on the mmr scale but had my first razor game and went 17/6/17. It helped that most of their team was linkable. Been looking for a new carry to try. I think I found one to practice.
Might be my favorite guide yet
I usually add an early mask of madness to the item build. Kinda solves the problem of being weak at lvl8-15
i often played razor mid, he lose to little matchup, good cs and harrash ability, dominate lane easily, farm quite well, not afk farm, good hero to first pick if none your team picking first. learned a lot from this video, especially the ulti target prioritize link target, very educative!!!
BSJs TechieS guide. Looking forward
Thanks for this guide!
I love these guides, especially learning how to play against these heroes.
Wow, got the notification 11sec after post. Solid

As always, a great hero guide.
Best one yet
Great guide. 👌
2:01 Very nice.
Ty 4 the INFOR
Nice, now i can play razor pos 5 like kuroky
I don't usually pick razor, I only pick him when I have a tough line up, he's like my wild card 😂

so usefull now i understand how to use razor
The cowlicks look great on you, very whimsical and in touch with your inner child. Keep up the good work, gamer.
- Your furry friend
2:02 American Pie vibes right there
cool video 👍 Razor is badass
ty for your content.
how about maelstrom against illusion heroes?
What about sny, bkb, satanic against a nuke disable heavy team?
Phase boots/treads on razor? Treads is a good farming item, but how impactful is it compared to a phase boots midgame?
feel like most pros i see in dpc rn go AC over shivas. the attack speed helps your link.
Did you mean sin curve because I have no idea what soylte is?
Could you do next guide on antimage?
The shard helps for farming and gives some survivability by slowing aggressors down, but doesn't synergize with the refresher, so that's why it's trash.
Does lifestealer’s aghs break link?
Sick video for a sick hero
won 3 razors in a row because of this guide. Thanks BSJ!
Refresher razor and bkb is so nutty rn
Sweet guide,
still feels boring to play but will give him a try in Turbo
The late Satanic is still really good in today's patch. All this is still solid info.
Pos 5 Razor absolutely goated.
In SEA server, i have a Razor pos 1 who does not want to build BKB.... lol
although his shard seem trash.. its quite effective against illusions. they seem to take lot of damage from that shard.
thanks
I just tried Razor but the break distance of static link almost is equal to the cast range. 100%
Hello BananaSlamJamma, please make a guide video for ...idk what hero do you think we should learn next guys?
Razor.
Clinkz
Chen
nice vid pog
What's the name of this razor skin? I like the effect of plasma field
this is the reason razor was picked alot recently !!!!!
Great guide as always BSJ. Can I suggest if you can name 2-3 pro players to watch if we like a specific hero? Like who would we watch if we wanna learn more Razor.
Anmar the fucker for oflflane, Arteezy for carry and nothing to say for mid
Does shadow blade break the link?
No because the link gives you vision of the target.
keep it bma keep it psj
"Razor 5 is pretty dope"
Kuro
1:30 lmao nigma reference
Does manta break link?
no it doesn't, it also keeps track of the real Phantom Lancer if you link him before he uses doppleganger spell
im looking for the day u make a Willow guide...
I've asked on another video but the intro song, is that $uicideboy$ ? All That Glitters Is Not Gold, But It's Still Damn Beautiful ?

Banana slam jamma
get shard against windranger
gorgc razor build? division 2 proffessional player gorgc?
Tomorrow the number of razor picks will double. I like static link in ability draft a lot. You pick static link and win mid pretty much against anything.
23:10 look at bsj
Kinda funny how Morph is made of water so he owns Razor
Fun Fact Jenkins and BSJ play together 2% of his games.
I remember his head being bigger
watch gorc's razor :D
Do Lina
Pos 1 razor seems like a waste of a pick. I'm pretty confident he should only ever be a 2 or 3. Don't get me wrong I'm sure Razor 1 works sometimes but feels underwhelming in comparison to having a real carry
40% wr here i come
i should always ban morph when i wanna pick razor. gotcha. razor is always my 1st choice
I suck in general but especially with this hero. Tried once today and a Tusk made my life miserable. Bsj guide was useful though.
This video is very outdated you build razor very different today you build bloodstone and shroud and shard nowadays
