they're not poorly trained. they successfully defended that post for 5 hours without casualty while killing 2 american soldiers and 1 severely wounded. it just that the Americans outflanked them because of Juanito Galut which brought them their demise. they successfully delayed the american advance which is their only mission even if 52 of them were killed.

@@bullymaguire321 no he wasn't. Those were the Americans version of the story to make him look heroic in a silly way. But Carrasco and Enriquez who were beside him told a different story.
"I returned to the peak where I had left General del Pilar but midway up I saw him with Lietunants Eugenio [Telesforo] Carrasco and Vicente Morales and the bugler. I told him what I had seen. The general quickened his pace on learning that the Americans could be seen from a certain high point. We arrived at the upper trenches. Then we went to the hilltop where I was and the moment we got there we heard renewed firing and saw our soldiers giving battle. Our soldiers, pointing with their hands, warned del Pilar that the enemy was almost on top of us, but we could see nothing save an irregular movement in the cogongrass. So the general ordered a halt to the firing. And erect on the hilltop he tried to see and distinguish the enemy. While he was doing this he was hit by a bullet. The general covered his face with both hands, falling backward and dying instantly. He wore a new khaki uniform with his campaign insignia, his silver spurs, his polished shoulder straps, his silk handkerchiefs, his rings on his fingers. Always handsome and elegant!" - Vicente Enriquez "The general could not see the enemy because of the cogon grass and he ordered a halt to the firing. At that moment I was handing him a carbine and warning him that the Americans were directing their fire at him and that he should crouch down because his life was in danger and at that moment he was hit by a bullet in the neck that caused instant death. on seeing that the general was dead, the soldiers jumped up as if to flee, but I aimed the carbine at them saying I would blow the skull off the brains of the first to run, whereupon they resumed firing while the body of the general was being removed to the next trench." - Telesforo Carrasco(Matt Evans) HE WAS BESIDE GOYO during his death.

BRO PAUSE THE GENERAL IS DEAD LOOM AT HIS HAIR
POORLY TRAINED ARMY MEN. THESE ARE NOT THE SAME KATIPUNEROS THAT JOINED THE KATIPUNAN. MANY WENT BACK TO THEIR FIELDS AFTER THE DEATH OF THE SUPREMO.
Their purpose was to hold Tirad Pass and giving time for their president to evacuate, I thought that they're going to die at the very end for their 'Motherland', they decided to desert and strip off they're ranks and uniform and started running for their lives.
they're not poorly trained. they successfully defended that post for 5 hours without casualty while killing 2 american soldiers and 1 severely wounded. it just that the Americans outflanked them because of Juanito Galut which brought them their demise. they successfully delayed the american advance which is their only mission even if 52 of them were killed.
not win filipinnes
Tahol goyo, tahol.
Ganun lang sya namatay??? Anak ng..
aso kasi
your kill general luna
this isnt the real way of his death he actualy died riding a horse
No, actually there are different version of it
American was falsely made that one
"killing Goyo while mounting his horse" sounds heroic and It will be given a lot of praise to the shooter
@@BSGom2001 he was actually shot in the nape while riding a horse
@@bullymaguire321 the americans fabricated that story to sell the newspapers. americans actually like making people as this some kind of perfect heroic figure to be part of nation-building. in fact, Goyong died just like in the video. in the US army document, it was mentioned like what happened in the video. only the newspapers and tabloids made that story sound heroic and dramatic because they're also the ones who released the story about goyong as a playboy(it is true tho). this movie is actually the only one who accurately depict his death
Always handsome and elegant!"
- Vicente Enriquez
"The general could not see the enemy because of the cogon grass and he ordered a halt to the firing. At that moment I was handing him a carbine and warning him that the Americans were directing their fire at him and that he should crouch down because his life was in danger and at that moment he was hit by a bullet in the neck that caused instant death. on seeing that the general was dead, the soldiers jumped up as if to flee, but I aimed the carbine at them saying I would blow the skull off the brains of the first to run, whereupon they resumed firing while the body of the general was being removed to the next trench."
- Telesforo Carrasco(Matt Evans)
HE WAS BESIDE GOYO during his death.
Ginawa nilang duwag an pilipino dyn, mga tumatakbo sa laban. Kakabanas panuorin
Tumakbo kana. It is using your brain not cowardice!
Most hilarious thing I've ever seen.
