After reading Quezon's memoir, I was left in awe at how eventful his days were as a soldier. He was a college student before joining the ranks of Aguinaldo's army, and he was even present at the siege of Baler as a spectator. When he did join the Republican army, he started his career by taking down bandits, for which he rose the ranks very quickly. He eventually wrote to Emilio Aguinaldo, to ask if he could participate in open battle against the encroaching American invaders. The young lieutenant then went on to fight in numerous bloody engagements in and around Pampanga, under General Mascardo's command. Towards the end, the future president had spent the majority of the war fighting as a guerilla in Mariveles, battling malaria and starvation, while also scoring minor victories against the Americans in Bataan. He only surrendered so he could consult the then captured Aguinaldo for further instructions regarding the war..

So this is my opinion but, that might be an article 15 loosing your weapon or weapons you signed for.

I love just how dumb that scene is. -The throw their helmets, even thou all has a gun in their hands already with bigger weight and likelly able to make damage. -They are about 5 meters from each other yet none of them moves towards the enemy to beat the other with the heavy wooden bunstock. -There is just a wall like 2 meters to the right from the us guy POW yet no one moves to take cover for reload. -The asumption that a simlpe german rifle guy has a pistol. -The fact that the rest of the germans just let the guy walk away as they becomed uninterested to hit the guy until he collapses...
