After everything there in the clip, General March found Del Pilar's diary. It said:
The General has given me the pick of all the men that can be spared and ordered me to defend the Pass. I realize what a terrible task has been given me. And yet I felt that this is the most glorious moment of my life. What I do is done for my beloved country. No sacrifice can be too great.
What he did is incidental for the country but it is for his General Aguinaldo-the greedy and scheming general.

If the paolo Avelino version is almost literally similar to the romnick sarmenta version which includes the events of the spanish era from gregorio del pilar's perspective, thr paolo Avelino version would have been more of a prequel/sequel of heneral luna

English should not be removed, because not all countries are adept in speaking Spanish... If the information you have shared is correct, then English should be 3rd, not eliminate totally... I am Ilocano, a dialect of Northern Luzon... Tagalog is a dialect of Southern Luzon, whereas, Filipino is Tagalog with some elements of different dialects, and also foreign language...

About your Official language. Filipino right? I know filipino and tagalog is different; tagalog has deep and native words unlike filipino that has a mixture of filipinized spanish and nahuatl and english. But at my school Lasalle, teachers here encourages filipino student to become nationalistic and they said a year on or a year later they would be removing english as a secondary language and replacing spanish unto it. Try reading DepED still not sure but it was agreed.
I agree that our culture was westernized, some are corrupted... but Spain, like everybody who colonized the Philippines, have pros and cons... don't try to cleanse hands...
