Great comparison! I’m a Stihl guy, but the Toro can be had new for $150 right now so Toro it is to supplement my BG86 and BR800. I don’t always want to smell like gas….
Hello! As per the specs, the Toro is 63db and the Stihl is 56db. With that being said, the Stihl would be slightly quieter. In my experience, however, it was difficult to tell a difference. As for the balance, both units balanced very well. The Stihl is, however, noticeably lighter.

Thanks for watching Brian!
Thanks for the comparison! Which one is quieter and better balanced?

Thanks for the reply. I enjoy your comparisons. Not many RUclipsrs focus on dealer line products.
You're welcome. Thank you for the feedback!
I know what the specs say; was the Toro actually much more powerful than the Stihl?
Jml, in my experience, there was not any noticeable difference in power between the two units.
