Funny..😂🎉
Black max is the best bar oil
That was painful watching you cutting those saplings
Hi Kevin. Thanks for the comment. Stihl offers better blades for cutting saplings (i.e. their circular saw blades). The 4 blade is not made for cutting saplings, but will do it if needed.
Good demonstration: glasses are essential, dry debris is easy to remove with a stiff brush and the compressor is fine for the stubborn stuff. I just use warm water and dishwashing liquid to clean filter - a damp cloth cleans the plastic bits and soaking the chain in soapy water also works. Just make sure all clean metal parts are lubricated when dry - a light coating of WD40 or similar works.
Thank you for the comment.
Thanks, Kyle!
Thanks for the video. I. Bought my first stihl electric item an hsa 60 trimmer and it's great. Very likely to grab the sha56 the shredding seems a million times better than my 20year old corded flymo shredder vac!
Thanks for the comment!
You know.....I did learn something 🎉 thank you 😊
I just got an ms162 is it normal for bar oil to run down side and under saw when using it? Or is there over pumping oil and should take it back??
Hello Victor. By "running down the side" I am assuming you mean the side of the case under the clutch cover? While in use, you may have some excess oil from the chain. It should not be excessive though.
@@HillyRidgeSalesService yes the side of the cover, I wouldn’t say excessive but definitely more than a little
bad one, it has problem with bell now the bell broken, i can't find mode with New 2024 Timecutter MAX zero turn
So after watching this I've got some questions: 1. Could you confirm any details on if Bobcat plans to make this machine on their own, and where? 2. Plans for developing attachments to keep up with Ventrac and Ariens' Mammoth? 3. Is there any truth to a partnership for now involving Steiner and Bobcat just for this machine?
Another informational video- thanks, Kyle!
Merci Canada 😮
Noice level not mentioned 😢
I liked the MS170s enough that I'm on my third one. I run them hard cutting brush down in my trailers or cutting firewood and at about $160 each a fair deal for what I got out of them. $200 and tax for an MS162 that's over a pound heavier and 1.6hp vs 1.7hp seems like going backwards to me smoothness or not. My 5 year old MS261 weighs 10.8 pounds and has 4hp. I've never said "Gee I want a heavier chainsaw with less power. I passed on the MS162 at the dealer today.
Get a Stihl shredder blade from Canada or the UK, or even the Oregon version. None of the blades are great on small trees but the shredder blade is so much better for brush than the rest. Not any less safe either...
I have been waiting for a video like this. Thanks, Kyle!
I would have liked it if he explained why it's over a pound heavier the new Ms 162
Probably a combination of the increased fuel capacity and new emissions system
I appreciate the follow up video, Kyle. Thanks!
You're welcome.
Thank you for the video, Kyle!
Sure thing!
This or a multi force what’s better?
Thats a great question and a tough one to answer at that. It would all depend on if you want the versatility of the MULTI FORCE or the potential for the larger cut diameter and different HP choices with the HDX. Additionally, the 60" HDX comes in two engine options either a 31 HP Kawasaki or 37 HP Briggs & Stratton whereas the MULTI FORCE is strictly offered with a 26.5 HP Kohler Command engine. I hope this helps!
"Liar, Liar, pants on fire... so says my computer..." Project Farm did thorough testing, Stihl bar oil came in last place, it had almost no wear inhibitors at all... funny how the guys selling you chains and bars insist you use the worse oil.
Walmart hypertough is the same thing as the blackmax, which I believe is the same thing as echo, poulan pro, great oil, I been using it in high 90s here in SC, works great. Dealers always trying to sell you overpriced stuff!
Ill be keeping my old MS170 going for as long as possible after seeing this. The cover is removed needing no tool to turn the knob. It wasn't necessary to change from the MS170's simple air cleaner to a difficult to service snap-off design that looks like it will break.
HE DONT TELL YOU WHAT AXLE IS IN IT, ( DONT BUY ) TILL YOU KNOW THE MOWER ISNT A BUNCH OF CHEAP PARTS PUT TOGETHER, WHAT KIND OF AXLES??
I PAID A LOT OF MONEY FOR THIS MOWER AND DIDNT KNOW WHAT I WAS BUYING
10 INCH TIRES OR 8 INCH TIRES.
Hello! The Timecutter Max has 20inx10in-8in drive wheels and tires.

Thanks for the info, Kyle!
Thank you for the video, Kyle! Can you recommend a specific weed trimmer for my property? We own about 3 acres & have a good amount of trees & garden space.
Hi, jlp01049. I would recommend the FSA 60R or the FSA 80R/80 if you are interested in battery power. Both the 60R and 80R will have similar run times with an AK 30 battery (the 60R being slightly longer). The FSA 80R, however, is more powerful than the 60R and has a gearbox, which makes it very similar to the FSA 56 gas-powered trimmer. With all that being said, I don't think you could go wrong with either!
My first saw was a 041 farm boss. No AV or chain breaks. In the late 70s I started working in the woods mainly firewood. Soon I was logging and did it for over 30 years. Owned and rebuilt and broke more saws than I can count. Now this is just my opinion but trust me when it comes to saws I've been there done that. In my day we had 3 main brands of saws all loggers used. Jonsereds, Husqvarna and Stihls. If your saw was anything else it was out dated junk. If it takes more than 3 or 4 pulls to start it's junk. The gas and oil on those rubber mounts was never good but unavoidable filling your saw. Stihl took for ever to go to the springs on the mounts. Why? At least the reds had a strap limiting the motion so you didn't rip the rubbers out when pinched.I had a 920 and a 930 back in the day. The reds had a pull cord prob and some would vapor lock. I owned a 370 and 372 xp husky both boat ankers. I think husky merged or bought out Jonsered. There both sweden saws and the Stihl is germany. I've had the little 028, 038 super, 044 and the old 056 and a pair of the 064 magnum 2's. I do not like the spongy pull cords on these newer saws. I do luv that quick adjuster on these smaller Stihls for the bar. Bottom line is if you go with a husky or a stihl provided it wasn't made on a monday you should be good to go. I always run a Oregon Bar and Chain with Oregon files to keep it sharp.I hand sharpen because thats the way I learned. I cut a 4 inch piece of limb to stick on my file for a handle. Always use Stihl or Husky mix and give your gas jug a shake or 2 before fill up. Husqvarna has the best boots for winter months. But always good boots hard hat and chaps. Be safe. Stay away from retail stores for saw purchases.
Whats the difference between a regular timecutter and timecutter max? (Besides the size of the fuel tank)
ID LIKE TO KNOW, I PAID FOR A MAX BUT THE TIMECUTTER I BOUGHT LAST WEEN HAS 8 IN TIRES
@@MSBOZO-xt4vg the regular timecutter has the stamped deck and single cylinder engine. The max has the twin engine, fabricated deck and more.
THE 3 SPEED KNOB, MINE DONT HAVE IT. AND ID LIKE TO KNOW WHAT AXLE I HAVE ANY WAY OF TELLING
WHAT ARE YOU CALLING A STAMPED DECK? ONE WITH ROUND HOLES?@@mhess427

Nice video but why didn’t you offer an opinion of one over the other. I just purchased a 162 to replace my 170 but now I’m having second thoughts on the 162.
I'd definitely keep the 170, but that's just me
@@tuberocker69 Yup. I returned the 162 two days ago. When I went to the dealer I was semi apologetic about having to return it and the owner said Don't worry about it, you're not the first one. Nuff sed.
Ms 170 is no longer being made. My local dealer said 162 was its replacement
Just broke my 170 today went to go buy another and 162 is to heavy and doesn’t feel right in the hands I didn’t purchase it . Rather look for 170 off the market than buy 162 170 weight is 8.6 162 weight is 9.9 almost 10 lbs Ms 250 18 bar 45 cc is 10 lbs just think about it ! Same saw weight but less power 162 was a mistake bring back the 170
@@alisegura116 There are 4 ms170's still on the shelf at my dealer. Thinking of getting another while I still can. I just recently got the ms261cm and they pair nicely together!
Got my new x-one 60" in 22 but havent been super happy with the cut quality. 45 hours later and I'm looking at a used one of these with 67 hours. Am I gonna be happier with this model?

How do I sign up for a demo
Neat mower!
Why wasn’t there an a actual demonstration of it in action? Very suspicious!
Hi Richard. A lot of the products in our videos are new. Sometimes we decide not to use them because then they have to be sold as "used" so to avoid having a lot of "used" inventory we will do something like what we did in this video. This is great feedback for future videos though, thank you!
You will spend most of your money and time replacing the batteries
Hi Ricky, thank you for sharing your concern! Landmaster states the EV batteries (which are in this video) will last up to 10 years and they carry a 5 year limited warranty!
You will spend most of your time making uninformed comments on RUclips.
I would not have a electric utv
Pay Attention and check the title of the article which never mentions Electric UTV: "Watch as Kyle takes the Landmaster ELECTRIC EV and gas powered L7 UTV's to the AOAA"

Here is the difference between the stihl oils I have seen. Stihl woodcutter is good for a bar and chain that is less then 18 inches if I run a bar and chain longer the 18 inches I use the platinum it has more tacifier in it. I have always used the platinum. Seems to be the best oil in my opinion
Yes, they are both great oils, but the platinum does have more tackifier in it.
❤Gee could you have found a more rotten piece of wood ?
GUYS!!! If u are looking to buy some chainsaw with enough power and some medium size bar , buy the MS 231 or 231 C-BE! but those on the video are great too. I like the way they design them and the way there looking. But like I said earlier it isn't for me. But I agree with everything this guy said on the video.
On paper the MS162 is a definite improvement on vibration levels over both the MS170 & MS171. 162 has the same displacement, weight and power-weight ratio of the 170, (the 171 had a very slight increase of displacement but curiously less power). All three saws share the same chain pitch and gauge, with the same recommended bar lengths. Sound levels: 170_ 111 ~ 100dB 171_ 112 ~ 99dB 162_ 113 ~ 100dB Vibration levels: 170_ R5.2 ~ L5.5 171_ R4.0 ~ L4.5 162_ R3.2 ~ L3.0 A friend has an old MS170 and the very few times I’ve been forced to use it, I’ve considered to be a real bone-shaker. So the 162 would be that much easier to use on longer days. Someone’s going to ask if I’m going to buy a 162? Well maybe if I start carving. As it is, I’ve got two small saws and a medium size saw; and that will do for now.
The improved anti vibration of the MS162 is very noticeable and does make for a smoother cutting experience.
No sprocket tip bar on the new ms162 but I believe the old 170 had it?
Thanks for sharing, Jeff!
