- There are still many pristine natural places left in Jamaica and this is one of them! Just a 20 minute walk up the river from @FreelanceJamaica is an incredible natural river island and deep hole swimming pool. You won't believe how fresh and clear this place is. Thanks to Chucky's guests @KOOMASAE, @kingdavidandtheroyalfamilyofgo and everyone else staying on the yard for the good vibes! Been watching your videos for years Mathew and finally made it to Jamaica myself now, all the way from the UK. Visited Falmouth, Ocho Rios, Mandeville, Bluefields, Negril and Montego Bay whilst driving around ourselves. What an amazing country.

Short story born and raised in Portland Jamaica. I moved to America when I was younger. I fell into that river as a child and I've never been able to get over the fear of almost drowning so I never learned how to swim lol.
You can do it, you can overcome this fear. Face it head on 🏊🏼♂️
I’m Jcan. I learned to swim at college where it was mandatory. Learning to float first was the game changer. Please I encourage you to learn. It will change your life. You may never be fully comfortable (I’m not) but once you’re competent it will change you. Blessings.

Went to this river spot a few times whilst I was staying at Chucky's a few weeks ago. Beautiful spot for swimming and relaxing! Further down you can sit on the rocks and relax in the water!! Shame about the dam dogs that you encounter on the way!! That farm is private property and the owner told us not to go through there! Will have to find another way round!

Beautiful. I’m of two minds about this. I loved learning about this but worried that it will become overrun and full of trash and become another victim of internet popularity. I hope visitors and local treat it well and leave it better than they found it. Im already so sad about the poor trash management in Jamaica. The waterways are getting clogged with single use plastics and other types of trash since Jamaica has no proper waste management and too many locals J’cans still just fling dem trash ‘pon di d’ut!!! Just look in any culvert and along any gully. Mek mi so sad 😢
