Just bought one from a pawn shop for $150. Has a case, 12" disc, digging tools & a pin pointer but no instruction book. So i downloaded & printed one up. Been finding all kinds of stuff in our neighborhood. Lol! Appreciate your video.
Hey Michael...thank you for this video! Very well done. Very understandable. I bought mine a few years ago when I upgraded from a whites entry level machine. Yes, I agree, it is a tank. I'm so happy to run into your videos. You've been a great help and I did subscribe.
Thanks for the informative video. I too have this same detector and feel as you do toward it's performance. Paid $200 for it, second hand, and I'm still tickled pink over getting such a great deal. I have had many detectors throughout the years, this is one I'll never part with. Good hunting.
Whites in my opinion are the best! I have an AllPro and nothing beats it. I use it in all my videos. I have used all the others. Thanks for the video. NEW sub
My MXT weighs about 4 lbs including the SunRay Probe. But more important than weight alone is balance. And the MXT is very well balanced, which reduces arm fatigue.
The Pro is multi tone like the M6, the MXT 300 is a two tone with a 300 mm concentric coil. The 300mm 12" concentric coil turns any MXT into a beast on both deep and shallow targets in mild to moderate soil! The multi-tone is great for coin and jewelry 💍, but my focus is on gold prospecting where all I need is two tones... one for iron and one for gold. The Pro has a ground grab button on the control pad to manuel ground balance. (Which is great!). The 300 is the older style that uses a toggle switch to auto track and then lock the auto track. (Hold the auto tracked ground balance in place). The Pro has a backlight... the standard MXT and 300 do not!
The MXT only uses one tone, but incorporates excellent diplayed data. The MXT Pro has both multiple tones and diplays target data. It also has a larger coil.
i agree with ya there.the dfx does have alot going on and its a bit crazy to learn. the factory programs suck. but i do like how you can change settings for all situations, like EMI,GROUND FILTERS,SWEEP SPEED A/C sen. GAIN. ECT.
I owned a DFX for a while. Technically it's quite a bit more advanced and flexible then the MXT. I felt my MXT hit harder on targets though. And, for me, the DFX had a little bit too much goiong on. Great detector though.
Simply put an excellent video. You are very informative. I started out w Garrett 150 and 200 then to a Eurotek Pro which my kid uses..I to have the exact Detector you have. I cannot think of a reason to upgrade. I to bought mine used from a Pawn Shop. 300 bucks and came w cover to keep it clean. Thanks Again and drop me a line if you would. Sincerely John Gates
Hows the recovery speed ? I use to own a v3i and it was great for finding rings but the recovery speed stunk when trying to find rings that where buried for a couple years. HH and GB from a fellow RF.
See people like to clean their detector after hunting like me, always looks new that way, and clean if ever want to sell, so yes he could have a clean detector

Michael Czahur my arm kills me after using this thing
What’s the difference between the MXT PRO and the MXT 300? Thanks

If you had to choose between the MXT and the Tesoro Outlaw for park and tot lot hunting, which one would you take with you?
Hows the recovery speed ? I use to own a v3i and it was great for finding rings but the recovery speed stunk when trying to find rings that where buried for a couple years. HH and GB from a fellow RF.
want to ask you is that a good detector and what's the retail value and how do I set ground balance
Great vid, I have the V too
