did you add in the 2 Corsair H100i water coolers for the cpu and gpu? Linus even forgot 1 of them when he did his newegg "comparable parts cart" and only had 1 shown from newegg marketplaace (separate subtotal below newegg cart). Also, did you include $99 for windows 10 home? sure, most ppl won't include that for their own carts, but it should be included
Sad that the major downside is that it's hard to upgrade. Not that you can't but that slim form fitting factor makes it hard to move around and add/remove things. As well as you'd be losing the warranty too. Sucks.
I bought the Pro version with the 1080Ti. After some headache I am "now" happy to report this is the best PC I've ever had. My problem was the manufacturer did not apply enough thermal paste to the GPU. After some trouble shooting, this was finally corrected and I now am getting the performance you described. The Corsair Support team was also more helpful than any customer support I've ever worked with (ever). Yes it sucks I got the 1 in a 1000 GPU hiccups, but luckily its was an easy fix. Also, the One is now "OFFICIALLY" user upgradeable. Corsair has become more reasonable on the Warranty and upgradeability.
André Fontes rgb is never a bad thing tho. Because if you want a single colour, make it that colour. I don't understand how people see rgb as over the top or hectic when you can just make it a plain colour or white. It just gives choice, instead being stuck with blue.
J Bayliss what I don't like on RGB is being a pointless feature, mostly when nowadays it gets overused ridiculously, like being added to other components such as the MB or even the RAM. If does it either flashes the rainbow in disco style or it is plain white, I don't see a difference in these points.
André Fontes but the fact that a component does have the ability to do that if someone desires but also the ability to turn it off is a good thing, can't you agree? What if someone had a red themed setup? The non customisable light would be a major turn off on this product. If it had RGB leds, which costs almost nothing compared to the system, everyone could be happy. You would be happy with your blue, someone else could be happy with his red and somebody could be happy with his hektik flashy rgbness.
J Bayliss I think there's a misunderstanding. My comment was based on my opinion, which is, unless very subtle or with an actual function, I dislike RGB. Of course a lot of people don't share the same opinion, otherwise almost any PC gaming product nowadays wouldn't have it as they do. According to the company, as Linus had showed, it was an design decision, as it doesn't have any panels make the interior visible, and so making the final effect quite pointless. I believe your argument isn't the best, because you're pretty much saying every company building pre-built gaming PCs has to include RGB as if it was a requirement for this type of product, just because who doesn't want it can turn it off. I think RGB is actually an "extra" some might appreciate, and I find it good that a company decides not to follow that fad.
I find that purchases (like my new iPad pro) are completely fine at the time but then get less and less acceptable as the days roll on. I am now in the dog house over my new iPad when her phone is over 4 years old :(
Bing Talks I use because my monitor is old, but I'll buy a new one this year. I'm hoping for a ultrawide 144hz < 500 USD release before July, otherwise I'll have to make a difficult choice
Corsair one $2300 model, Amazon Parts price $1829, Newegg pricing $2100 with an amazon link to buy in desc. $163 h100i (old version?) $156 450sf, missing 2TB HD. I would buy it, just bad comments/point about pricing in the video.
it's upgradeble since it doesn't have proprietary components, it would be kinda difficult since it's so small and it's not recommended unless you know what you're doing but it's upgradable
It does appear that some serious engineering went into the construction of this. I especially enjoy the custom radiators for the cooling solution. And having what amounts to a $200 price premium for Corsair building it and warrantying it all under one roof is well worth the price of admission. I would love to have some different options for color choice with the RGB lighting on the front sides and as mentioned, the I/O is a bit lacking. Maybe 2.0 will solve this problem?
Been watching your videos since I was young. Watching your videos got me into what I want to do once graduated and what I actually like. Thank you Linus!
MacTX yeah because it only has to power the cpu and the gpu both of which have outstanding tdp performance. the ram and the ssd are low power, the fan and pump also don't really take too much.
Let's see: 7700k has a 95W TDP. GTX 1080 has a 180W TDP. Makes 275. Maybe 25W for the rest, makes 300W. I think even with OC a 400W supply will be alright, although I admit 450W might have been a better move, to not have it run at high load all the time.
not a big deal but ok :D also you shouldnt really point it out cause if harry doesnt want to be shown you make it even worse but at the same time its good to advise linus so im totally brain fucked please kill me cause i dont know what im saying
On the prouct page it's written that it's "Built with industry standard components: full size graphics card, mini-ITX motherboard, full-height DRAM and flexible storage options, your CORSAIR ONE is designed to grow with you." So, they're encouraging the consumer to upgrade, but at the same time they don't want the consumer to upgrade??
i think they may be wanting you to take your upgrade parts to them so they do it for you, given how delicate the build is. That would be kinda smart of them, actually.
Depends, i like the fact that it's just one cable. No more need for other connections when you can have one port that does it all. Of course, i want more then one USB-C TB3 port on my computer/laptop. But the point is that it's nice to have just one port that can do it all. Except for internet, that port is still a different one.
You forget some of those Delta's were badass like no joke Lol, Buying anything from them though now though Lol or any prebuilt I say make your own alien however it goes.
Fitting 2 radiators in there as well as keeping the system spec that high is really impressive! Corsair did a fantastic job with the exterior design of the product as well as it doesn't look too gamer-y. Even the price isn't too much of a premium! Well done Corsair!!
m.2 SSD installed! Do NOT leave the mains connected. You will need to remove the internal mains power extension that has iffy insulation on the internal pins. It took about 10 screws and some patience. And if you're lucky, the warranty stickers won't tear. 32GB of 3000MHz DDR4 are on the way. I need this system for weird stuff.
i have a problem with my pc.I built it today and it doesnt start i dont know why.power supplie fan isnt spinning. it does nothing! setup: cpu: i5 7600k cpu-cooler: alpenföhn ben nevis gpu: msi gtx 1060 gaming x 3gb motherboard: msi h270 gaming m3 ram: 1x 8gb corsair venegeance 2400 ssd: sandisk ssd plus 120gb harddrive: seagate barracuda 1tb case: nzxt s340 ps: corsair cx550m (550watt)
I was hella confused as to why they would use SATA ports at 3Gb/sec, until I googled and learned that SATA3 is not the same as SATA3Gb/Sec. I learn something new every day.
I just thought of something cool: if I ever get a powered wheelchair, I want LED lighting in the back of the chair to turn red when I stop, and white when I reverse.
$2,599 ? WOW ............ I just built a 1080 ti, 32gb 3600 DDR4, 1gb SSD, 4tb hard-drive, 7700K 5.1ghz ( delid ) Corsair water cooling 115, Asus IX Hero, Phanteks Case, LED lighting and a 850 G2 SuperNova, Windows 10 Pro, Logitech Mechanical and Gaming mouse for $2,600ish. Also, assembly? 2 hours? Lesser case? Sorry, my 3mm Aluminum / Tempered Glass looks way better.
It's 1800 for the GTX 1070 and 2200 for the GTX 1080, which doesn't feel extremely expensive, a Razer blade pro costs way more, and also heats up way more than the one
Thanks for covering this linus. Especially thank you for covering everything from build quality to the thermals (which are quite vital in these small rigs). I've been waiting about.. 3 years for a company to make a PC which I could work on, game on and that was small and well designed without the LED craze inside. I ended up resubscribing after this video. Will catch up with your latest stuff. Many thanks !
The new "Elite" Model is $3,202.49 (That's with tax, the optional 32GB of DRAM and no shipping because I picked it up) and comes with: i7 8700k GTX 1080 TI 16GB-32GB DRAM 2TB HDD and 480GB SSD
I love the black and gold on corsair products. Wish the lighting was yellow/gold instead of blue. I dont understand why this isn't branded with corsair gaming colors.
I find the Corsair One to be fascinating. This is a very, very powerful system capable of running pretty much any game at any resolution acceptably while having an unbelievably small footprint. The thermal performance is also outstanding considering the packaging limitations and the usage of AIO cooling. Sure it doesn't have a bargain price tag, but no prebuilt with these specs does, and building your own is always cheaper anyway. The fact that its only $200 cheaper is a win for Corsair IMO.
Linus at 3:34 you mention that you would like to see thunderbolt 3 at the back, which is USB 3.1 type-C (correct me if i'm wrong) which is shown clearly at 3:22
If they did LED light at the front it could as well be RGB. You can still turn it of or you can leave it at every desireble color that would fit better on your desk. RGB is associated with flashing and waving billion light colors per second but it should be. It eliminates the need for 1000 product SKUs.
The HDMI/USB on the front isn't there for a headset. The combo is there for your VR headset. Perfect combo of I/O for anyone with Oculus Rift. Sensor elegantly placed in the back I/O for amazing performance!
@3:49, why is the core clock of the GPU only 1531-1556MHz at 100% load? Sure it may not have been OC'd yet, but the base clock of the 1080 FE is 1607MHz. So is the 1080 in this underclocked/undervolted as stock?
With no RGB I lose about ~7-8 fps on all games and the resolution is locked at 720p, right?
Patrick L. Yes
Patrick L. no
70-80*
Patrick L. +you lose swag
They had to use blue LED to keep it cool.
before you look, its $2,299.99
at the moment...but I keep seeing $1799 being thrown around, for some reason, which almost makes it worth it. EDIT: my bad, I though it had a 1080ti.
Ozoingo2 lmao thanks saved me 10 minutes
Ozoingo2 lol i checked the parts and its worth around 1500+. a little overpriced but could be worse
did you add in the 2 Corsair H100i water coolers for the cpu and gpu? You won't have your own business wasting resources on fancy new hair products whenever they come out

he probably won a lifetime supply on some obscure game show
maybe some of that bulk thermal paste he got too ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) golden compound to keep the noggen cool

Zombie_Fate WOW it's really reasonably priced. Thanks for listing it out
it is very cheap compared to other pre built PCs...

Zombie_Fate I like those prices, I'd buy the base model though.
Zombie_Fate thank you. that's why I came to the comments.
LOL "please don't break it" they know linus too well XD

and he proceeded to break it... of course!

And then he broke it, anyways. Good ol' Linus.

It would probably only be lukewarm
+MrAbitiary God damn it.
*slow clap*
Me: Ok I'll buy this pc.
*looks at price*
*nvm i'm good*
It fits between boring utilitarian looks and "gaming" design with a good industrial looks, and *doesn't* have RGB... Finally a tasteful gaming PC.
Oh, and it comes with an amount of RAM that actually makes sense!
André Fontes rgb is never a bad thing tho. Because if you want a single colour, make it that colour. I don't understand how people see rgb as over the top or hectic when you can just make it a plain colour or white. It just gives choice, instead being stuck with blue.

Krayiss D Kushina the pricing is very fair then. I want one. I'd pay for this.

No hombre, they use a custom board and housing that can't be taken off.
Name its an MSI board....
Let me save your time : It starts at $1799 you're welcome.
with no rgb? fuck this, maybe the rig/body might be good to buy,the only good thing that comes off of these

Probably used that bulk thermal paste as lotion, especially since he didn't had any other use for it.
The whole video is more 'redish' than the usual videos. Just look at the logo in the intro. Maybe a small color palette hickup.
Check you've not got some shitty colour boost on. Seems fine to me.
Finally an all in one done right you can tell the engineers really worked for that pay check.
Aurageyser Orion not an all-in-one, there is no monitor
I'm so excited to see the can PC done right that I fucked up the comment. Thanks for pointing that out.
Also, no keyboard and mouse.
It does appear that some serious engineering went into the construction of this. I especially enjoy the custom radiators for the cooling solution. Wtf? no RGB? Why they don't removed the 1080 to add RGB?!?
so a 400 watt 80 plus gold PSU is fine for an overclocked i7 7700K and overclocked GTX 1080?
MacTX yeah because it only has to power the cpu and the gpu both of which have outstanding tdp performance. the ram and the ssd are low power, the fan and pump also don't really take too much.

Thats max theoritical load tho, sure 450 would have been cute but cramming more into that small psu is already pushing it know what im saying.

Yeah i know it isnt, but that's what they're designed to withstand so we can use it as a base number

SwedishGamer322 I think they are saying that the pc is so powerful that you won't have to upgrade it to keep it modern and not outdated
NovaRaccoon ... and where's the "growth" in that?
Oliver ASUS idk, but they are just saying that you wont have to replace for a while
NovaRaccoon What they're actually saying is that it will grow with your needs, meaning upgrades, which is what our Swedish gamer was referring to ...

I think i am in love! I was expecting this to cost $3000 at least.
I honestly don't feel any Corsair signature in the design
Young Dende but MSI still kept their signature (albeit tacky). The design on this feels more Logitech
well they copied only the top fan,
Corsair used 2 Radiators on the side.
The power button is way too close to the front ports, could easily accidentally mash it while trying to plug something in.
the day I buy a pre-built gaming PC is the day it cost less than building one
there are some, one was from the video he did about buying from bestbuy and one i found on amazon which is cheaper than getting the parts yourself
Bill Nanos but you end up with a crumy PSU and mb
The Asus prebuilt in the "Buying a Gaming PC at Best Buy" used a Delta PSU.
I think I'd still prefer to do it myself, I wouldn't trust some random person to assemble it.
You forget some of those Delta's were badass like no joke Lol, Buying anything from them though now though Lol or any prebuilt I say make your own alien however it goes.

The Real question is can run minecraft?
No, if you want to run minecraft at a playable 15-20 fps you have to upgrade to the 1080ti model.
But can it run Minesweeper?
Bsod nah you need 2 gtx1080ti's to run minecraft and play it on low graphics max 10 fps
If it runs Beachhead 2000 I'll be happy.
Bsod Of course A GTX 660 and a i5 650 can run it
I'm really digging it, and the price is very fair.
I just thought of something cool: if I ever get a powered wheelchair, I want LED lighting in the back of the chair to turn red when I stop, and white when I reverse.
I like how the ad at the end is super quiet.
Where the Xbox One went, so goes THE ONE.
i think :P
Safeboot In the trash?
NO RGB CORSAIR?! BLASPHEMY!
I am the one, don't weigh a ton
Don't need a gun to get respect up on the street
The standby icon looking "O" in "ONE" on the front should be the power button.
found someone in a 90s yearbook at school that is identicle to a young linus even with the same earings!
The video starts at 0:00 , WELCOME
Abdulmoiz Kamran thanks helped me out a lot!

$2,599 ? WOW ............ I just built a 1080 ti, 32gb 3600 DDR4, 1gb SSD, 4tb hard-drive, 7700K 5.1ghz ( delid ) Corsair water cooling 115, Asus IX Hero, Phanteks Case, LED lighting and a 850 G2 SuperNova, Windows 10 Pro, Logitech Mechanical and Gaming mouse for $2,600ish. Also, assembly? 2 hours? Lesser case? Sorry, my 3mm Aluminum / Tempered Glass looks way better.
small ssd you got there
look at your comment it says 1gb SSD
Linus give me a gtx 1080ti and I will watch ur vids everyday
Sholfier No. This is not a charity.
AmirAli Tn yea true
You guys actually took that seriously xD
What are the odds of that happening
That's a damn impressive piece of engineering. Well done Corsair.
It's 1800 for the GTX 1070 and 2200 for the GTX 1080, which doesn't feel extremely expensive, a Razer blade pro costs way more, and also heats up way more than the one
Yum
liek pls for lieks
probably the best looking, performing, and priced small prebuilt
Thanks for covering this linus. Especially thank you for covering everything from build quality to the thermals (which are quite vital in these small rigs).
I've been waiting about.. 3 years for a company to make a PC which I could work on, game on and that was small and well designed without the LED craze inside.
I ended up resubscribing after this video. Will catch up with your latest stuff.
Many thanks !
The new "Elite" Model is $3,202.49 (That's with tax, the optional 32GB of DRAM and no shipping because I picked it up) and comes with:
i7 8700k
GTX 1080 TI
16GB-32GB DRAM
2TB HDD and 480GB SSD
Rift Dancer Dude I wanted it so bad but they're sold out and can find a reseller:(
I love the black and gold on corsair products. Wish the lighting was yellow/gold instead of blue.
I dont understand why this isn't branded with corsair gaming colors.
Since Corsair makes cases as well, I hope they just release this as a stand alone case as well!
I wish they'd put out a series of cases like this design, but large enough to be easy to build in. Maybe a few different sizes.
The design is actually good, that is indeed a rare case for these small prebuilt gaming machines.
can I get the case alone?
I like the general design, but I also want to keep my ryzen...
at 5:04 the monitor that linus was using was hooked in through VGA!
1:42 Thank you Corsair for saying the god-honest truth.
Looks great, but lack of an NVME storage option is a deal-breaker for me.
Very slick design. I like it a lot. And the power underneath is also pretty neat.
I'm still quite impressed tbh. Though obviously there could be a few subtle improvements. Thanks Jimmy.
"have they done their homework?"
No. They forgot RGB.
Linus do a follow up video on performance, we want to see the temps and if it thermal throttles when gaming.
" Man, got to get the Corsair One "
* checks price *
" Sorry Corsair, you are not the one "
The HDMI/USB on the front isn't there for a headset. The combo is there for your VR headset. Perfect combo of I/O for anyone with Oculus Rift. Sensor elegantly placed in the back I/O for amazing performance!
They should make an absolute maximum version with soft green lighting with an illusion of falling lights. Then call it Neo.
Corsair One vs Mac Pro D700 video editing video maybe?
Minus the slight audio positioning, not bad corsair!
@3:49, why is the core clock of the GPU only 1531-1556MHz at 100% load? Sure it may not have been OC'd yet, but the base clock of the 1080 FE is 1607MHz. So is the 1080 in this underclocked/undervolted as stock?
