I love seeing first time matchups like these. I can’t believe Giants and Tigers had never met in the World Series until this year with the rich history they both have.
Was the most glorious autumn in San Francisco in 2012. Went to the parade and for whatever reason, Scutaro and Hunter Pence lit up Market St. Never have I ever enjoyed a celebration like that parade.
I wonder what happened to Ryan Theriot after that game 4. I don’t remember him ever talking or doing interviews about the win or any coverage about him. He was the one guy who disappeared and he wasn’t even at the giants parade on market St. it was like he slid to home plate , went into the dugout and disappeared immediately. He the retires a few months later and never heard from again. He was the only player that didn’t attend the parade and was never heard from again.
