This is first time that i heard him speaking English.
The talking show shows everything important to get to know not only English learing but the society phenomenon explain in the world how people using internet and network globally. His speech in his way is so much powerful to the audience to teach in the reality of economic way .
if u notice Zack Ma had a lot to improve in his speech, yet he was so confident like he was speaking his mother tongue! That's the spirit of learning a language!
Agreed !! Jack will never ever be able to speak English as fluently spoken just like Bill Clinton or those English native speakers coz his first language is Chinese mandarin. His brain and instinct has been equipped and acquainted with Chinese language from his DAY 1 on earth. Same way I was born Thai citizen and my native tongue is Thai, yet, I can speak English when needed.
Anyway, there are more and more of guest speakers addressing their speech on TED stage admitting English has become more like a "TOOL" for communications and it doesn't neccessarily mean non-English speakers will need to feel under or less than when they speech incomplete English on stage or anytime with the native speakers.
The point is people still need to speak English mostly to establish communications even among ASEAN nations where there are more than 10 different languages of which each has no integral part and never as easy as English when it comes to communicate.
Totally agreed. Although Jack Ma pronounces some words incorrectly, for example, dropping the final letter 'y' in the word 'technology', pronouncing 'truck' as 'track', pronouncing 'start' as 'stat', etc., I believe his listeners including the so-called 'native speakers' can still understand him. And this does not affect the fluency of his speech.
