To me it is important how those who become big and powerful choose to use their powers and platforms. I remember telling my then 7 yo daughter about the inspiring Elizabeth Holmes, on how she started up such a successful company at a young age, cited as the next Steve Jobs.. then few years later when I found out about the scam, I told my daughter how inspiring Elizabeth was, on how she scammed so many people successfully at such a young age. :)

As someone who works in healthcare, I can tell you that Elizabeth Holmes does not even remotely understand how the healthcare industry works, or the medical field in general.

I think it's easy to buy all of her lies if you don't understand the process. The media or the investors could've consulted any medical trained person who would tell them it's all just a scam, but they didn't. Anyone of them would say it was pure make believe.
