Since I've been challenged to a tandem by the legendary drifter, @daigosaito.87 , I wanted to get some practice in at the infamous Ebisu circuit... so to prepare myself, I'm spending 12 days in at the Ebisu Drift Playground in Japan! After all, I've never drifted before, and it turns out it's much harder than it looks. 3 more episodes to go, and the intensity will be ramping up VERY quickly!

I’ve been sim racing for years and then one time I tried drifting and I thought it would be simple because I knew how to controlled drifts but it was not the same at all it was so much more difficult. Drifters have some serious talent
it’s one of those things that are easy to start and learn but very hard to master

@@-._OPIUM_1 something taking a month to learn shows it's not easy. Dumb dumb.
Patchy conditions are definitely the hardest to drive in and gauge, grip levels are always changing, so fair effort giving it a good crack!

Me personally I started sim drifting with high enthusiasm since 10 years old. Had my old G27 wheel with deep wheel, full drift setup etc the old stuff and through the years upgraded. When 18 years old got to drift for real and it was like the sim after a hour or so. No crazy speeds or anything but lines were nice and smooth. Now 21 and progress made all thanks to sim racing.

How hard is handbrake drifting with a rwd car because every time I try it in beamNG I just spin out. But when I do it with a awd car it’s much easier to control. What’s the trick?
The beamng tire model isnt great, which makes drifing harder than it should be. Would reccomend getting good in assetto corsa first then going back to beam. Also the trick to drifts in beam is that its all in the setup, the vanilla drift setups are pretty difficult to use
There's also more than one way to initiate a drift. Clutch kicking is one of them, useful for when you're not fast enough on corner entry.
Do an outside cam
The thing is having the guts to actually do it because not many would even try because they’re scared. Props to you for sending it 🤘🏼💯
bro you need to start learning how to handbrake … so many mistakes you can correct them with handbrake.. is essential for tandems also !
